It is connected to Virginia Mason so it is safe for traveling at night without having to go outside. They hold luggage which is very helpful. Although everything is old, I think they keep it as clean as possible.
This is a very tired old hotel with no ac. They are upfront about that and provide a fan. The windows only open a few inches. The facility is old with cracked sinks, exposed pipes, etc. There is no direct access to the hospital on the weekends since the hospital doors are all locked. Access is through emergency only. The cafe is not open at all and the vending machines were broken.

I choose this hotel because I have a family admitted at the hospital. I like how the hotel is connected to the hospital and that I do not need to get outside.
The hotel is outdated and it smells. I stayed here during early November and it is still pretty warm. They do not have AC so I had to use the box fan and the windows do not fully open. Bathroom is small and the vents are loud and barely works. I found random hairs on the bathroom towels. Wall outlets are limited and loose that I had a hard time charging my devices. Walk-in closets are unnecessary big, about twice the size of the bathroom. Should’ve just used the space to make the bathroom bigger.

Desk staff was very accommodating. Especially since I did not know whether my Uncle was to be released from the hospital or not.
Bathroom needs a remodel. No air conditioning.

The location was great and staff was amazing! They were super helpful and always willing to assist you. And the closet in our room was HUGE!
It's an old hotel so there is no air conditioning. They do provide you with a box fan though and lucky for us it wasn't hot temperatures.

Location was fantastic. Walked to the wharf and there were lots of places nearby to eat. A pharmacy that was right around the corner.
It sits on a hill. The walk back from the wharf was quite steep. My problem -- bad knees. So really, it was all good.

Staff were amazing! Elizabeth was so informative and gave us many tips as travelers. The room was spacious and comfortable. Location was ideal, close to train stations and within walking distance of the city and attractions. Mostly it was cost effective for us traveling from South Africa.
Nothing!

Location, staff and the beds were all excellent
Lack of food--but, that really wasn't all that bad as there was a refrigerator and microwave in room. Its just nice to have a place to decompress after spending so much time in the hospital.

There was no food service at all. Different than when stayed years ago. Could use amenities and upgrade lobby

I loved the location of the property and the staff was very, very nice!
I didn’t realize the hotel was a little dated and didn’t have air or heat to control in the rooms. Luckily the weather in Seattle at this time is more palatable!

The front disk clerk when we arrived was rude. The next morning the front desk clerk (different person) was sitting in a wheel chair (not because she needed it) and was yelling at her boyfriend, “I can’t trust you!”….etc., fighting with him. The entire place was cramped and extremely small and tight, even the elevators were cramped if more than 2 people were in them.
As I mentioned above the desk clerks were both rude and very unprofessional. Sirens went off all night long. There were people yelling outside at 3:00 am. it was cramped. When I booked the reservation I thought I was getting 2 queen beds and we got a very small double bed instead. the dresser at the end of the bed was so close you had to turn sideways to walk around it. The drawers could be pulled out since it was so close to the bed. There was no place to set anything down in the bathroom, as there was no counter space at all and only one hook to hang clothes on. The carpet was stained, old and gross. We didn’t walk on it barefoot at all. The entire place was in dire need of paint. doors chipped, walls hadn’t been repainted in years and window sills looked like they had been painted with lead paint in the 1950s. The situation regarding the elevators to the hospital was ridiculous. We had several appointments in various places and were lost all day long requiring assistance to get where we needed to go. I was quoted a price online and went to check out and the rude clerk charged me $50 more and told me to “book directly with the hotel next time” and I wouldn’t have a problem. There will never be a “next time” again!

The price was good compared to other options in the area and within a reasonable distance to T-Mobile Park.
Did not realize our window was facing a hospital and we could see into patient rooms. We kept our blinds closed but felt it was inappropriate we could see into those rooms.

I liked the location of the building and its connectivity to Virginia Mason Hospital.
Rooms are really hot, and room 613 was right above the fans for the hospital and was extremely loud at night.
3.4
The convenience of being connected to the hospital
The elevator was a little temperamental it was finicky and I'd have to press the buttons a few times before it would take me to the level I needed
3.4
The convenience of being right next door to the hospital
Smelled musty, but it is an old building
