Pool and hot tub was very nice and kept up. Clean facility all around, no strange odors.

Definitely not the “free” breakfast
No cable and I booked and paid through Booking.com and for some reason Hampton Inn Asheboro NC charges my card for an additional $694 double charging my stay. I haven’t been able to get to the bottom of it because the manager named Precious has been extremely rude and says she didn’t charge my car. It’s not a cash sale so of course I have proof on my bank statement that Booking. Com and Hampton inn both charged me for the same stay at this disgusting motel!!

Everything in one place.
The pool should have a simple base heat. You don't have to heat a pool to warm, but as someone who spends a lot of time in water that's way too cold for guests, and it wasn't even winter. We specially chose that property for the pool but the adults we're unable to use it.

Indoor pool was closed and that was main reason choose this location due to it being birthday trip for my granddaughter and that is all she asked for was to have a pool.

Convenient
For a Hampton Inn, it did not live up to my expectations. The property outdated and old. The first impression I got was the drop off area tiles were busted up on the ground from cars driving over them . after checking in I was never informed of how to get to my room, anything about the facilities as far as the pool, and the exercise room a or anything else about the property. I was given a key to the room that was about it . The pool was closed because of maintenance issues while we were there. The phone lines weren’t working because of maintenance issue. The shower curtain was so long that we stepped on it while taking a shower, which is gross. I’m not expecting red carpet, Taj Mahal service, but I am paying almost $200 for one night. It could’ve been a lot better experience. I saw Online directly across the street. There was a Holiday Inn brand new there was offering the same type of room for about $20-$30 less a night.. I’ll give them a try next time. It seems like the last few times we stay at Hampton Inn. They haven’t been what they used to be in the past..

Toilet was very loud, Bathroom floor scraped the floor, carpets were stained, Tv didn,t work (had to get the maid to plug in some cable wires and the remote signal had to be exposed on the stand to work. TV's are way to small.

The location was great. The front desk ladies were very nice.
The room was not clean. Trash under the edge of the bed and hair in the corner of the bathroom. An empty box of tissues we had to ask for some.

I like how the staff had a good sense of humor.
I didn’t like the price of course lol but in all honesty the pool wasn’t clean each room smelled like a sweaty gym or mildew. My room shower head was shooting water from the top which caused the water to bounce off the ceiling instead of directly on me. Wash clothes was left behind from previous guests in the shower.

Breakfast was convenient. Selection of foods was limited, no microwave to heat up muffins and sweet rolls. No waffle maker as shown in advertisement of lodging. Limited supply of foods which required waiting for additiona of more food at self serve stations. I did appreciate that apples were wrapped in cellophane. No bananas, No grits. No scrambled eggs.
Pool water could have been much warmer.When I talked with the Guest Clerk at the Asheboro location to inquire whether the pool water was heated, Hattie, told me that he was. Of course we were very disappointed that the water was COLD. Sole purpose of our visit was to enjoy the indoor heated pool. Outside the pool, the temperature was warm. The temperature of the pool water was cold. The hot tub was closed for maintenence & repair. Overhead ceilings in pool were in need of replacement/repair. Room and bath were clean and adequate towels. Breakfast selections was limited . No scrambled eggs. Bacon, white egg omelet and warm french toast strips were main entrees. No waffle maker as shown in hotel advertisement. No microwave to warm up fruit pasties or muffins. Food supply at breakfast was limited, requiring wait time between moe food being brought out. No grits, only oatmeal avaialble. Room was quiet and all the hotel staff, both check in and housekeeping, were very friendly, courteous and polite Many restaurants within short distance of hotel. NC Zoo about 4-5 miles away. I think it would have been better for us to have stayed in a different town that actually had a HEATED indoor pool. When that ammentity is offerred, it is misleading to actually NOT be true.

Breakfast was nice, and the Staff was GREAT! The location if you are going to the NC Zoo is PERFECT! It was also near multiple restaurants (chilis, kickback jacks and a few fast food places), a Walmart and Walgreens, and a few gas stations so getting items/food is easy peasy! We will attempt to use this property again (because the staff were absolutely fabulous )when we go to the zoon but I will be picky with eth room given to us as the room we got put in needs some serious work.
The room (suite with spa tub) was NOTHING like the pictures on the hotel website or the booking website. I don't know if we just got put in a bad room but room 130 needs some SERIOUS WORK before other guests are put in there …I was highly disappointed they stuck us in there, but for the price and last min trip, we made the best of it. I am hoping maybe it was a fluke and management is just unaware of how bad 130 is.... There are pink and teal stains all over the carpets, from the living room to the bedroom these stains are in every room, the carpet that is near the tile in the kitchen area has a gap along the tile with carpet nails sticking out in multiple places ( we all stepped on them a few times...not fun for my kids), the walls had tons of marks/paint/scratches/discoloration/half-assed repair spots where things have been removed from the walls (this was even in the bathroom) and a missing side table and lamp in the living room area left the room constantly DARK as the window is facing a wall/walkway for the building. When we arrived the sleeper sofa had no sheets on it and I had to ask the front for some, while making the bed for my kids we noticed the bottom of the sleep sofa had water damage and rust stains all over it.
