The room next door was having a party and fights all night long … it was a terrible experience

I like that it was right on Michigan Ave and close to all the stores. We came specifically to shop and the location made it super convenient.
We’ve stayed in Chicago dozens of times over the last 3 years as it is our favorite city. We always stay at a different hotel and they are always right in the heart of Chicago, surrounded by traffic and night life. I am not sure why but we could not get away from the noise the entire weekend we were here. We could here every siren, honk, pretty sure we could hear peoples conversations on the side walk,, mind you we were on the 29th floor! The hotel itself was great and so was the location but the noise was just too much. 😭

The location was great. Close to everything. Very easy to get to the train, bus stops or shopping. Lots of options for food close by as well.
The beds are extremely hard, and pillows were way too soft. The entrance for the valet parking is not well marked and hard to find. The concierges was less than friendly. For the price I paid, I should have gotten a top floor suite! Extremely over priced!

Bathroom—configured oddly—towels at opposite end of shower. Auto door didn’t work well. No fan in bathroom.

We were there to visit the Italian Consulate. The hotel was very close and made walking to our appointments possible.
Friendlier staff at the hotel check in. I asked to speak to the Manager and was told the person I was speaking to was the manager. I tried to get help with my reservation by phone and was dealt with very rudely.

Location! And one staff person, Devin, at check-in, was super-friendly, efficient and helpful!
Most of the staff were unresponsive and kind of haughty. Maybe they were understaffed, but that’s no excuse. I spent thousands on two rooms three days. No housekeeping. Bartender pretty much ignored me and my daughter. Waited two + hours for my car, and the valet stand guy wasn’t mean, but he refused to talk to any of us about the situation. I’m surprised there wasn’t a riot. Thanks to Marriott, I got home and missed getting to see my grandson. I don’t know how to make up for that. Shame on you, Marriott!

Location!! Close to everything, with great walking distance. Great city view from our high floor.

Location was fantastic. Hotel was one of the Cleaner Marriotts we have stayed at. Excellent customer service, room was decent. Not a lot of extras provided such as toiletries etc but not expecting that from this chain of hotels.

Excellent view from 42nd floor, speedy and efficient elevators, room was spacious enough for my needs, and bed was comfortable.
Lobby area was always very busy, and the $20 "voucher" which you could use to get breakfast was something they should have been clear about in advance - a strange system and I never had breakfast in the hotel. Charging for basic internet is something I didn't have to do in a hotel in a long time (it was $15/day), thank goodness I could use the $20 "voucher" to pay for it ... still feels like I got robbed somehow.
