The front desk staff and maids were very good I thought
Carpets (at least on the 2nd floor) could definitely stand to be replaced. Hallways would definitely smell better. Big stains on carpets in hallways.

The area was quiet so we were able to sleep.
The facility was pretty dirty. The carpeting was disgusting. You could see the dirt and it got stuck on shoes. I’ve never seen anything like it. The pool was a joke. It’s interesting how when the pictures everything looks beautiful you need to get more accurate pictures.

Our room and overall hotel was clean. Found the staff friendly and helpful. Close to the beach. Nice pool area, kid liked the pool. Good location in Dewey beach to get to many places by walking. Parking garage.
Parking is limited to 1 car which is an issue due to lack of free parking anywhere close.

wanted to watch a nationally televised football game Sunday night but reception was bad and tv kept freezing every play. night desk said probably weather related. was clear night with 1mph wind. she said to reboot tv. did several times to no avail. ruined our stay. never again

This was my second time staying at the Gold Leaf Hotel in two years. I also stayed in the exact same room both stays. I noticed many upgrades and improvements to the hallway and room decor however the king size bed mattress needs replacement it was very uncomfortable for me and my spouse. The new paint and new carpeting are GREAT!
Better and softer bath towels. The bath towels we were given needed to be replaced with new bath towels. These towels were way beyond their expected life.
