island Inn is right in the beach. their accommodations are beautiful and there are umbrella and chairs for their guests on the beach.

Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Loved screened porch and seeing sunset from 2nd floor deck was great. On first floor in Kimball is a nice game room/living room.

Noseiums got my husband at the pool at 11 am in the shade laying on lounge chair. Didn’t expect that.

The resort is very clean, my room was sanitized. The lay out of the room is interesting, unusual, but very spacious and comfortable. You can't be any closer to the beach. I would give them a 10 for their welcoming check in and a 10+ for their cleaning and sanitations.

The Traditions Restaurant was closed. I was not surprised due to the current pandemic. However there are so many restaurants nearby, so it was not a big of a deal.

Location was great.

Could use more pillows on the bed.

Island Inn is a nicely-renovated, well-maintained, older facility. The staff was extremely cordial & helpful. The location on Sanibel Island is quite nice in terms of being reasonably near many different restaurants, shopping & activities on Sanibel itself.

The room was quite small and not all that comfortable IMO (size, lack of comfortable seating, etc). The Island Inn beach was quite disappointing in that it consisted almost entirely of shell as opposed to the sandy beaches that existed less than 1/2 mile in either direction when we took beach walks. Same with the Island Inn grounds (relatively little landscaping). Their website needs to be updated (advertised 'continental breakfasts' but it turns out those haven't been provided since COVID pandemic began. On checking in on Memorial Day the front desk provided a coupon for 15% off dinner at their on-location Traditions restaurant, which we proceeded to eat at after we'd unpacked. Turned out the Traditions restaurant doesn't honor those discounts on holidays (which they obviously tell you after you've finished your meal). Food was quite good but skimpy (3 scallops in a scallop dinner?) and over-priced compared to the other restaurants we ate at during our visit.

Beautiful property and amenities. Upon check in, the staff member was wonderful, inviting and positive! She was much appreciated.

When requesting towels for the pool, a staff member at the front desk was rude and seemed bothered by the question.

A peaceful beach getaway with beautiful rooms, the Island Inn is a family friendly gem. We can’t wait to return!!

We had the most wonderful anniversary weekend. No complaints!!

The room was exactly as pictured and described online. Island Inn had everything we wanted and could ask for to relax on the oceanfront with spectacular water views of the Gulf. Shelling was great too!

We liked everything! We have no complaints. How could we? The staff went out of their way to be helpful!

Main issue was king size bed in a room for a queen/full size bed. Had to side step to get in and out dragging against curtains. seriously flawed design. No room for night stand(s). We stayed here a few years ago in the new building was great. For almost 500 dollars a night they should have done better. But I guess people want king beds so they cram them in and charge more knowing its not correct or comfortable (see picture). Couch, pull out in kitchen area was stained, looked dirty. Bring your own pillows. just sayin. Bathroom light over sink didn't turn on, only after for a few minutes, bulb maybe? Grounds could have been better cared for outside, clumps of grass around planters and courtyard, lack of details and grooming, although the gopher tourtose did his best at grass trimming. Oh and the fire alarm was triggered in our building (Kimble) by some idiot they said hung wet clothes on the sprinkler head causing a flooded room! Fortunately this was as we were leaving for dinner and 1 floor below us and not their fault just another negative issue.

We were put in a room which was so small, we could hardly open our suitcases. No table, 1 chair, no bar or holder to get in/out of the shower. We had been at the inn ca 7 times over the last 50 years and were unaware that such a terrible room existed at the otherwise wonderful location. Our advice — book with caution!
