I loved that it was right on the boardwalk and everything was close. Overall it's not bad for a couple nights as long as you aren't looking for luxury. It wasn't dirty (though everyone's definition of dirty is a bit subjective), but it was dated. If you want to impress someone, this isn't the place. If you want a less expensive place to shower and sleep in between hitting the beach and boardwalk, it's not bad. I'd book again because it was reasonably priced.

I didn't like that the beds were very springy. Like miniature trampolines with little padding. But I slept okay probably because we were busy all day and tired. I didn't see a door sign I could hang to say no service needed, so it was a little uncomfortable to come back to the room to find people cleaning it, but it was nice to have fresh towels.

The rooms were dirty the beds were horrible and the two kids working the desk especially the tall girl are very unprofessional and has bad attitudes.

I love Aztec very nice people, rooms could be a little more updated but as far as everything else this is my home away from home. very convenient location, and awesome staff members we will be back next year

The location is great. We did go up for a week (during the week) and nothing was open, not even most of the motel, but that's our fault because we didn't think or check ahead. We still liked the atmosphere. The Wifi was great, but it was also public, so we used a VPN. We stayed at four different motels in Seaside this summer, and The Aztec was still our second best experience.

Our latch on our door to the outside (and on ground floor) was broken. We were constantly worried about people getting in. You would try to open it while locked and it would pull the whole frame from between the window and the door. Once I took my son to the boardwalk and we got back, my wife told me three guys opened the door on her while she was sleeping. I guess they thought the room was empty, they left quickly, and I know they were staying in a different hallway, so no "wrong door" there. We still don't know how they got it open. Lastly, every time we used the microwave, it blew the breaker on the first floor. After three times, we unplugged everything in the room to use it, I would just walk down the hall and fix it, the girl behind the counter at night was clueless. We were going to try and stay the weekend too originally, and they had available... but left.

The property is located in a phenomenal place in relation to the beach activities and boardwalk.

The room was not very clean. Dirt/ hair in the corners and along the walls is may main complaint.

The location is the best on the boardwalk with a pool easy access to the beach food right there in either direction and the best the rides are right outside the hotel.

The pool was so cold could get like a heat cover or something.

Fairly recent remodel of the bathroom. Location is great.

Check in took 45 minutes. Very rude front desk. Was made to feel that the girl was doing us a favor by letting us check in. Did not even tell us where to find our room. Gave us keys that were inactive for the wrong room. Asked where we could find a luggage cart, was told to go look for one. Parking is very limited. The room door did not close all the way. Elevator needs some updating. Nothing in the room to tell us the pool + restaurant was closed. Expected some type of amenity list in the room. Mattresses need to be replaced. Young man was our "maid", very friendly and attentive. Came right before holiday opening, expected them to still be getting ready for Memorial day grand opening, so expected a few bugs to be worked out, to be fair. Whomever they hired to do the remodeling did shoddy work. Had read a review that there was blood on the curtains, turned out, whomever painted the "highlight" wall, didn't move the curtains back and splashed paint on the curtains.
