We had a great stay, it was very cozy and nicely decorated. The room was clean and the staff was amazing! Also a close distance to the downtown area. Will definitely be back!

The rooms just need coffee makers, the coffee in the office was delicious though!

I agree with some of the other guest reviews that the storm doors are loud when people are coming in and out of their rooms. Especially early in the morning.

Clean, cozy, and nicely decorated room with an electric fireplace and flatscreen tv. They texted us our room number and door code 1.5 hrs prior to check in which we loved. Everything was redone since our stay in 2018 and it’s gorgeous. Next time we’ll get a room out back and be closer to the three fire pits and grills.

Housekeeping knocked and then began opening the door at 9:30am while we were still sleeping, which was alarming. Check out isn’t until 11am. Do Not Disturb signs would be nice. It was also a bit loud in the morning because I think you could hear everyone’s screen doors closing. Not a huge deal, but it did wake us up a few times.

Close proximity to Story Land which was the main reason we were there.

The size of the room may not be suitable for a young family with small kids.

Michelle who runs the lodge is so amazing and accommodating, she’s the reason we keep returning.

The bed in our room was uncomfortable but wouldn’t deter me from returning.

The hotel itself is very nostalgic and reminiscent of accommodations in bygone days before larger chain accommodations. But once inside the rooms are beautifully and tastefully redone to a very high standard. There is a firepit for evenings outside enjoy by guests.

During our stay our room was extremely hot although our thermostat read off. Even with two fans on in the room it's was uncomfortably hot. The bed although comfy was very bouncy even when rolling over. We've stayed here before but always rented the larger room. Although the standard room was very comfortable the space between the bed and wall where the t.v. was was tight. I recommend the larger rooms. The staff was extremely accommodating but it was strange to dial a phone number to get help if needed. Although the call was answered promptly when one was made.
