Location and the view of the sea in all the bedrooms. The beds were comfortable.

Nothing. Perhaps something consider is to also have housekeeping/cleaning services during weekends

The location

I purposely got a Villa near Camps Bay for my family to ensure that they had a luxury stay and for convenience. We were not informed before hand about the 2 sets of steep stair cases and we were not only travelling with elderly people , but a 4 year old too. The balcony was not safe, particularly in the bedroom next to the main bedroom. We were not informed about the fact that cleaning staff were not working that weekend and about timers on geysers and although we were given a false perception of the size of the home, one of our biggest issues was that the home was not updated, or at least no new paintwork. There were parts and paint work that was chipping away . The Villa was also not clean. Marks on the balcony floors that could’ve been mopped before we arrived . There was dirt and items like bandaids under the beds and sheets that weren’t put in neatly with stains on them. My first call to the host was to asked that the pool be covered and upon arrival not only was the pool not covered , but it had some dirt on account of the windy weather. I had to call once at the Villa to find out about things I should’ve been informed about beforehand. Load shedding, geyser settings, stairs, the electricity and the R250 we pay for late arrival or leaving the Villa early. The host was not thorough when giving information. A paint job, and clean decent furniture and surfaces and being forthcoming with the offering would have made all the difference. Just to try to meet the standard of the perception sold, this could’ve been done way before we arrived.

The property is needing some TLC. The hot water tap at the bath did not work . The Kitchen tap kept falling off. These should have been repaired before letting out the property. They are not new faults. Kitchen lacking a lot of basic essentials.

The surroundings and that it’s situated in one of the top rated Towns in Cape Town.

A day before checking out there was a break in on one of the bedrooms and they stole a Sissy Boy Back Pack… We were so scared and confused as to what exactly happened. We only saw evidence the next day in one of the Balcony… It was things that fell as the thief was jumping out with the bag. We did inform the host and he advise we go open a case unfortunately we couldn’t go to the police as our flight was 2 hours after checking out…

We loved everything about the property. The views, facilities, modern furniture and of course the host.

Nothing im afraid, i would not stay the night if left alone in that house.

The Villa is somewhat disjointed, and has too much glass on it. Never felt secure/ safe in that property even with the alarm on. An eary feeling i cannot describe on paper. Needs a lot of attention, and work to bring it to full potential. Air condition units were broken, could not warm up the room on a cold night. The TV was big, but wall mounts attached poorly such that the it was almost hanging facing down. The Location (Camps Bay) is the only thing going for this property.

The host gave us a harty welcome and introduce and show us everything we needed to know regarding the property.
