Based on the price the room exceeded my expectations.

I requested a noon late check-out which was granted and at 11:30am the front desk guy was knocking at my door. He was unpleasant and grumbling when I left before Noon, also

by far the least expensive option in Pella. convenient to a Hy-Vee grocery store. appreciated the freezer compartment in the mini-fridge. clean, comfortable bed and good A/C.

Bathroom was outdated (enamel flaking away in bathtub). furnishings also seemed older. No complaints for the cost though.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Location was perfect and they serve breakfast. Price was reasonable

The place was exceptionally clean but in need of updating. The large holes where they ran the tv cables by the tv were unsettling as well as the chain on the door. I did not feel as safe as I have in other hotels.

Breakfast was O.K.

Room we were given was O.K. although it was at the far end of upper level, (the lower level was not fully occupied) so it was really a Long walk to get to the main lobby, using the stairs was a bit inconvenient. The room seemed to have not been occupied for quite some time, it just needed a through cleaning, found a pair of men's underpants sticking out from under one of the beds. Shower in the tub was difficult to regulate, turn handle needs replacing, there was a hint of smoke smell, the air conditioning was not on at our arrival, even on a 90+degree day, so simply put, this room needs some severe updating. Even with a lack of sufficient housekeeping staff, management could have stepped up to assure better room conditions. We will not stay at this motel in the future.
