Location and easily walkable to all attractions. Decent size room.

At the time of booking, our room rate said it included breakfast but they were not serving or even set up for that. I found it a bit rude that reception said that we could just go buy breakfast and coffee at the café down the street. Eureka! No? You don't say! Of course we have that option, but how about you update your booking information and prices as to not mislead your customers? They really should have provided a coffee maker in the rooms, and a simple continental breakfast laid out, it's not hard to do. Parking was also strange, we were never able to park in front of our own room. If parking is tight, why not assign spaces per room so your customers don't have to drag their luggage across the lot?

The woman who was in charge of the property at the time was wonderful.

For starters, the hotel wasn't even officially "open" despite the sign outside saying "Open Year Round" and despite the fact that I booked this hotel through booking.com and it was confirmed back in December. When we first arrived, the office was closed and a sign was hung up stating the Front Desk and pool were unavailable until April 1 but they were still taking reservations for the upcoming year. As I was heading back to my car, a woman came out of one of the units to help me. She was very nice and said that she didn't understand why they were getting bookings because they weren't open. She knew we were coming but my question in hindsight is why I never received any type of communication that this hotel was not in fact "Open Year Round". I would have gladly been able to cancel and go elsewhere. First I noticed the pool was empty. One reason I opted for the Hyannis Inn was the pool. The first room we went into had no electricity. We noticed after moving all our luggage into that room. The manager apologized and put is in another room . We noticed both the refrigerator and TV were unplugged. We plugged them in and found that the refrigerator had a very foul odor and was dirty. We could not locate the TV remote so I had to call the manager back as the office was locked up again. She brought us a remote but it didn't work so she moved us yet again to another room. She was very apologetic and made sure everything worked in this room. We had to move our belongings again. The room seemed clean enough but the heat was blasting at 85 degrees. Throughout the night we learned that the only way to control the temperature was to turn the heat off completely. Coffee cream cups were sitting out by the coffee maker and I realize do not need refrigeration but they had literally burst open from the heat and who knows how long they had been sitting out.
