The hot tub was not working, and I was really looking forward to relaxing in it after a long hot hike

The property was nice. The breakfast was very nice. The room seemed clean.

The hot tub had several of the jets that didn’t work and the pool water was freezing. Also I was initially charged more than booking.com quoted. They did give me a refund for the difference.

The location was decent. They had recommendations for activities and restaurants in plain sight.

It wasn’t the cleanest. Breakfast wasn’t the best. Pancake maker wasn’t working. No scrambled eggs every day. The hotel in general looked like it’s been through a lot.

The pool was advertised as being heated; however, upon arrival, we were told that the pool was not heated. Also, the hot tub jets were broken and not working. One of the reasons we picked this location was for our kids to swim in a heated pool and for my wife and me to relax in the hot tub following our daily hikes. Lastly, there was a leak in the ceiling on the first floor which soaked the floors and caused a damp, musky smell. We had no water for 6 hours during the day while they fixed the leak.

The location is superb, you literally have rock bell right in front of the hotel and the trail way is a few minutes walk from there. This is one of those hotels where you have ice and water in the halls at your disposal. The bedroom was clean and the tv is the old fashioned regular one, no cable. Can’t connect your phone either.

Rude staff, we didn’t get the room we paid extra for. I paid for a king room, we were driving from LA so we called them multiple times to let them know we were arriving late. However, they still gave us a bad room saying that they had nothing left (The reservation was made almost a month before) The worst breakfast I’ve ever had in a hotel ever. No bread, no cheese, no fruit. The breakfast they offer is donuts, scones, pancakes, sugar cereal or bacon and eggs. I don’t eat pork so I asked for something more healthy and they just changed the sausages from pork to chicken. I read in previous reviews the breakfast was good, but I assume it is good if you want to have diabetes and have poor health habits. The eggs were terrible anyway and I honestly cannot emphasize more on how disappointing this breakfast was. I paid an extra to have a decent room and breakfast and got nothing of both
