There were pieces falling of the bathroom door the tub bottom we had to clean before showering. The shower wouldn't stay on one temp. Breakfast was cold when we ate. Ice from the machine had black specks in it. Bed was very hard and not an actual fitted sheet on it. We paid quite a bit for so many issues.

The front office staff was very friendly and attentive.

I didnt know there was construction happening. Water was cut off for a short period of time and then once water was restored, it wasn't hot. The bed "comforter" wasn't even as heavy as a blanket. It might as well have been just a sheet.

The front desk staff was very nice and friendly and the guy at the front desk when I checked out was also very nice.

I did not like the noise from the work being done on the first floor and the room was clean but the paint smell was so strong and you can tell that the room was not wiped down before placing a guest in the room after work was done. As a hotel inspector and someone with a cleaning business nothing go unnoticed but other than that the bed was very comfortable and the shower was clean.

This is the most expensive La Quinta we had ever stayed at as well as the most uncomfortable. It was over $100 for a one night stay... Plus an extra $100 for a holding fee, then on top of that we were charged ANOTHER $100 for processing in which we were informed that we'd not get back if we canceled the booking. Booking.com states that it's $80 for a night, but what we ended up getting charged was $301.20 just for a one night stay... The beds felt like laying on bricks also, the shower barley worked, and the heat and air conditioning unit didn't work at all. So neither of us got any good sleep. When it came to checkout we had to wait nearly an hour for the rest clerc to come back from her smoke break outside just so that we could at the LEAST gain our deposit back to have some cash in hand to eat and gas to drive. Never staying at this La Quinta ever again. I know that small towns can be rather expensive, but this takes the cake.
