Disgusting hotel

Our view from the room we saw wild deer in the morning.

Overall, I won't stay again. Beds were uncomfortable and the bathroom was cramped. Bathrooms are way too small especially when your guests are bigger in width. My husband was very uncomfortable in the bathroom.

The price value the room look Ok

It was too far from the convention I was going too. I would have rescheduled a different hotel through booking.com. It was impossible to get through the automated in your phone system. Even though the hotel was too far from venue. I would of stayed a second night. In the middle of the night I was woken up with banging up and down the the halls. I tried to call the front desk and couldn’t get through. This scared me and made me feel unsafe. I don’t know what was going on outside my room. It sounded like they banged into my room door. I couldn’t get back to sleep and was exhausted for my event. It was very difficult to find another place to stay on short notice as well as more expensive. However, safety matters as I am a single woman traveling alone.

The Baymont in Columbia met our needs as a last-minute stay traveling from FL to MI. It was apparently being remodeled, however we did not see signs of construction - all appeared in order. The room was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. Microwave and fridge in room. We had received an email from Booking.com that there was not currently breakfast service, however breakfast WAS being offered. Staff said Baymont never sends out emails such as this. My only negative comment could be that it was 12 miles west of Highway 65 rather than more conveniently located, however it was my mistake for not checking the location more closely. After a very long day of driving it was wonderful to have an Applebees right next door, which offered a small discount to Baymont customers.

Would have had breakfast there had we thought it was being served. Brought our own instead.

The breakfast was very good and plentiful served in a clean environment with ample seating. Other places to eat within walking distance to choose from I found the Hotel breakfast to be good and convenient.

People was nice.

The fact that the front door people just let anyone walk in without asking any questions or paying enough attention to see a man walk out with a back pack full of stuff that wasn't his. And tha he didn't come in with in the first place. My point is while staying at the baymont I was robbed at gun point where my gun and lots of personal belongings were stolen while I had a gun pointed in my face. I mean it's not completely the hotels fault but, the staff could stay awake during their shift or at least ask someone questions when they come in cool and casual and then leave in a hurry with a back pack and a pistol that was just forcibly taken at gun point. I really would expect some kind of response for to this kind of event to happen. Because this could have happened to anyone since jus to anyone can walk in to the hotel and knock on any door and when the person answers puts a gun in their face. I think that baymont should do better about security keep certain doors locked or have some kind of security. I'll be in touch or my lawyer will. it was dirty

I slept a little late and missed breakfast 3 days. When I did have breakfast, it was good. I had biscuits and bacon or sausage, no gravy. The coffee was very good.
