The location was great. It was next to the highway and near many popular stores.
The rooms were not very clean, including the linens and pillows.

The bathrooms were so nasty and the shower curtain was nasty not been washed.
We had to go buy cleaner to clean the bathroom. I will never stay there again.

For the cost it was ok.
Lack of breakfast choice ( cereal or waffle) both carbs and nothing else. Most places have had breakfast sandwiches or something.

I always stay at this property when I travel to Fort Payne, AL. I come multiple times each year and they are always very kind and always a smile on their faces. They are like family away from home since I have been traveling there for many years. I have no desire to change my place of stay when I come down.
As we all age, the toil of traveling can become harder. Although, I am still young enough to do what I need to do, some of those who travel with me are not. An elevator at this property would be very useful for those who have room upstairs and have to carry all their belongings up the stairs at this time. Sometimes help can be found to bring your item up stair and down the long walk to your room. This is only a suggestion. Not having an elevator will not keep me from staying at this property. It would just make the process much easier when unloading and loading our stuff during and after out stay.

I was charged twice to my bank account and now I’m being told it’ll take five days to get my money back. Econolodge says that they didn’t charge me twice but I have proof from my bank account they did.

It was close to the chicken show that we were going to.
Bathroom was terrible, the tub was peeling and didn't drain. The cold water side didn't work at all, so a shower was out of the question. The pillows were lumpy and the beds were very uncomfortable. There was still hair laying on the floors.

Nothing!
Filthy! Roaches in the room and mold in shower/tub. Clerk made no apology or effort to satisfy. We left and stayed elsewhere. I’ve made a complaint to the county health department.

The price was right. The location was conveniently right off interstate.
The floor in our rooms were laminate which was a plus.
The pool was nice and clean with a large area around to enjoy. There were about three tables with umbrellas and chairs. There were several other lounge chairs also.
The facilities are old and some fixtures need replacing.
