non smoking room smelled like smoke. Sign on hotel room wall stating that there would be a $250.00 charge if caught smoking in room. I told the hotel staff that the room smelled like smoke upon entering to make sure they would not charge me for the smoke smell. Hotel Staff responded that I would not be charged and that the room used to be a smoking room and they could not get the smoke smell out of the room. Glad that they didn't charge me, but too bad they don't take care of the hotel.

Booked the room while traveling,when we arrived had a confirmation number but the desk said they didn't have a reservation for a double room.for us had a king room doesn't work with 3 people ,so they offered a king with a rollaway bed was ok with that. The elevator was out had to carry baggage up to second floor. . In morning went to use the hair dryer and it turned red on end and started to burn setting off the smoke detector. So was going to go down for there complimentary breakfast there was nothing there except cereals, they had waffle or pancake maker no batter for it so we just checked out and went to Perkins. They need a better variety of a vending machine also.

My family has stayed here for many years. This year was a disappointment. The lady who checked us in was rude, they didn't clean our room the entire time we were there, there was no gravy for the biscuits for breakfast because the can opener was broken (for several days?), the elevator was broken, there were loose tiles in the bathroom and someone had written in the dust on our wall.
We hear they are remodeling so hopefully this is a one off and next year will be back to the normal quality of this hotel.

Hotel was clean. Staff was friendly (we arrived late). Easy to get to. Breakfast was better than i expected from a small town.
Smell of pot in the lobby and hallways (Couldn't smell it in the room was a plus). The bathroom light buzzed like an electric razor when it was turned on. Tub dripped constantly.

The staff were very friendly and accomodating. There was a computer problem when we arrived but the lady at the front desk gave us our room without a long wait and just asked us to return later to fill out the paperwork; so welcome after a long drive!! Very nice breakfast provided; first time we ever saw a pancake machine! Room was nice and clean; comfortable bed. Several restaurants nearby, one you could walk to.
While the room had everything that was advertised, it was all put into a too small room so there was very little room to even walk between the bed and the dresser. No room really to put our luggage; we put one suitcase on the dresser and one on the desk! And the coat hanger was right over the desk so you couldn't really utilize it.

great location
there was absolutely no parking. trucks and trailers parked sideways block multiple parking spots. there was dried food and crumbs on the floor. dust all over. I booked for two queen beds and they didn’t have any left so I had to pay extra for one king bed. the roll away bed had springs sticking out of it.

I love how friend the actual workers were, the lovely lady behind the desk who check us in was super nice but very over worked!
I didn’t like how the manager made me feel like after i tried to address how my bathroom wasn’t cleans and we didn’t have towels and how him and maid walked into our room at 9 in the morning when check out is at 11am

The price changing everyday depending on the day. The pool wasn't open should either put notice on sign outside or lower the price....

I feel the company needs to put better help in the motel that knows more about running a motel. I feel Ryan and Kim Beaman need to be brought back to manage the motel.

Breakfast was very good. The motel needs more help on to help with getting breakfast set up. One person can not do everything that is needed to be done.
My room for one. The first two nights was good. I had a two bed room and my daughter and her husband had a single bed room. On Friday I wanted to keep the two bed room for myself and my daughter but the gal said she could not move anyone from one room to another so I had to settle for a one bed room with a rollaway for myself. The last couple who was there would have tried to move some around to accommodate everyone. I feel the ones that are at Super 8 in Mason City Iowa now do not have enough knowledge of how to run a motel.
