The property was beautiful and in a wonderful location; not too far from the city, but not so close that you’re in the middle of crowds of people. All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly. We visited the Nantahala Outdoor Center that was just a 5 minute drive and had dinner at River’s End and enjoyed the beautiful river. After dinner we enjoyed a nice walk exploring the property at Nantahala Village. Then we visited the on site Kallisto Restaurant and Lounge. The bartenders were excellent and we ended up with a second meal. It was a very laid back and beautiful lounge.

Very beautiful setting. A very quaint and beautiful lodge. Deb was so helpful checking us in as we were late arrivals. Very clean room. The feel of the lodge took us back to a time reminiscent of the "Dirty Dancing" movie.

The staff was really nice and the hotel itself had a very cool outside area (probably even better in summer). Rooms were also good.

It was very dirty: - bathroom: hairs (!) at the bathtub which also seemed like it wasn't swiped properly for some time, used towel from previous person, toilet seat was sticky and water in the sink didn't drain properly - generally: dust on all wardrobes, lamps, no idea when they last vacuumed under the bed and in the rooms corners (dead bugs and so on)... "Pool view" means pool in the background but mainly street view with thin windows, so quite noisy

Substandard breakfast, stink bugs in room, and room could have been cleaner. In addition, tv was streaming only even though there was a Direct TV channel Guide in the room. Finally, none of the resort facilities were open yet they still charged a 5 percent charge for the use of resort facilities.

It was outside of town and not very crowded. It’s a lot like a Lodge. very cozy and quiet.

I didn’t like that I couldn’t stay longer.

We loved the location!

The carpets were stained, the walls were destroyed and had drywall missing from the bed being moved around. Our sink in the bathroom backed up and clogged after using it twice to wash our hands. There was leftover food sitting in the fridge from a previous guest, it smelled awful! We were okay without an elevator, but I don’t know how handicap people stay here. And carrying all of our stuff and our toddlers stuff up the stairs, was super inconvenient. Overall it’s a nice place, but wasn’t what we were fully expecting. Everyone was very nice.

Very nice hotel. Quaint and quite during our stay. Very close to Bryson City which was our destination. Staff was very friendly. Will definitely be back.

The property was huge with a lot of welcoming places to enjoy.

The room had stink bugs and the attendant wanted us to stay in the room. The house keeper changed the room for us and the toilet would not flush. Call the attendant and she said there wasn’t anything she could do. So we slept in a room with a broken toilet all night.

The staff was friendly, and the facility was charming. The room was warm, welcoming, and a perfect end to our exciting day.

The view was nice. We weren’t able to really get to check out much of the property. We had to go into town after checking in and was raining by the time we returned.
