It was peaceful and felt secluded. The layout of the cottages and buildings provided a sense of privacy for each guest.

I was excited about the hot breakfast that was included in the price of our stay. Then I was a little disappointed when my omelet was made with egg beaters and had no flavor. I also did not like how each party of guests was seated at tables directly next to each other so it was almost like a community breakfast which I was not expecting. Especially since it was heald in a dining room with more than enough tables to give each party their own space to enjoy the meal with the people they came to spend time with. I feel it is important to note that these two tiny disappointments didn’t really matter overall. The cleanliness, peaceful atmosphere, and more than reasonable rates are enough to make me look forward to booking another stay there in the future.

Beautiful old style resort with lots of charm. Excellent restaurant, very nice indoor pool and hot tub. Excellent continental breakfast, great bakery and lovely old bar with a terrific fireplace with a large sitting room and lobby area. Also know as a great wedding venue.

The rooms are older, not modern, but very clean and have an antique charm. Not everyone’s idea of todays resorts or hotels but lots of old world charm.

My wife and I enjoyed out stay there. The staff was polite and professional. The food was excellent. Rooms comfortable.

The only very slight downside was that it took us a while to find reception! There were no signs and it was dark and late when we arrived.

The location is beautiful, quiet and restful with beautiful Pocono vistas. Food was very good and the continental breakfast just right for my needs.

Upon arrival we were greeted . They asked for a credit card for incidentals. We brought our luggage to our room to see there was no refrigerator so all items we packed spoiled . Furthermore we left for dinner and my debit card was declined ag checkout. Wondering what happened I checked my account and found a large charge from the hotel on it. We immediately returned to the hotel and skipped other plans we had due to this issue . We arrived explained the issue and it was found the initial rep we spoke to at check in charged my card for someone else’s room/experience. They said they’d return it but will take 3-5 business days. I explained this was finances we needed for the remainder of our trip and also to get back home which was 5 hours away. I was told the manager would be in the next morning . Next morning came and it took me to go downstairs to ask about this issue. She explained the same but I explained this is not acceptable . She said accountant wasn’t there but she’d try to reach out. To sum up the remainder of what happened; it resulted in me contacting my bank between 4-5x and then had to have the hotel call them several times to get this reversed. So my entire stay I had ti deal with this stress instead of enjoying my vacation away. Nothing additional was offered, no complementary day stay or anything to ease the stress I had to go through . They were not aware but as this is a destination for weddings we were checking it out for our venue and due to this experience we will be going elsewhere; not to mention ever staying there again. I’m addition, the bed was too small . I’m 6’0 and my feet hit the bottom of the bed frame all night due to how small the bed space was. The coffee cups at breakfast there were stained; even the waiter made several comments about this even before we noticed . Whether or not related; I drank water there and have had a terrible stomach bug ever since. My girlfriend did not and she’s been fine. so unfortunate.
