pool , breakfast , the way the staff treated us

it would be nice to have snacks provided in lobby such as cakes, candies or chips

Very quiet, clean. The staff checking us in was very friendly and helpful. We were very tired from traveling and he made the check in pleasant.

The room had a "sour" smell. It wasn't "mildew" smell or really a "dirty" smell but it definitely had an unpleasant, very strong odor. I always travel with lavender essential oil so I sprayed that around the room and it helped slightly. I think removing the carpet would solve that problem however. The room was otherwise very clean.

I got woke up at 11:30 at night and I was told by the front desk attendant that I was in the wrong room, and I would have to move. I had to get the manager on the phone to get satisfaction. RIDICULOUS!!!

Breakfast was good but start serving at 6am would be better than 6:30

price was good and room was basic but clean. bed was comfortable. shower had great pressure and breakfast was good.

there were some updates that could have improved rating - bathroom door was broken, hallway smelled musty.

Pool

Stayed one night, the toilet in the room didn’t even work, had to go to the Shell station across the street to use the restroom. The gentleman that checked me in was really nice. However, with that being said, two days later they charged my card an additional $150 because the cleaning staff said our room smelled like smoke. I don’t even smoke. I called the corporate office to get a refund because conveniently the manager wasn’t in until the following Tuesday, just to be told, “I cannot process the refund because we cannot prove you didn’t smoke in the room.” So I asked, “How can you charge me the $150 when you cannot prove I did?” I have read other reviews stating similar incidents and the rooms smelling of other various smells. So renter beware that apparently just because one person says your room smelled like smoke, they can charge you $150 even if you don’t smoke.

Reviews took us there, along with location and price.

The TV wasn’t the best but we didn’t really mind. We couldn’t find the auto-off timer. The waffle maker temp needs to be turned up, or the length of cooking time needs to be extended. We were advised “the guy” had been there the previous day (I think she said), and extended the cooking time. I do t know about such devices…. Is it possible it wasn’t warmed up yet by the time we came for breakfast?

Reported very loose toilet seat to front desk. Tried to tighten it myself but the screws were stripped. Front desk said they would take care of it. They did not.
