a nice cottage conveniently located with a public walkway to the ocean beach nerby (3 min)

you have to pick the keys from the host office that is located about 30 min drive down in Hatteras. then return them upon check out. We drove 15 hours to the cottage and an extra hour drive just to pick up the keys from a drop box wasn't appreciated. - the garbage bin was missing. we reported to the host, but were advised it must have been stolen and were recommended to put our garbage in neighbors trash bin and the host would come down in 2 days to check for the bin around; we ended up with out the garbage bin for the entire stay and had to drive our garbage daily to a dumpster in Avon; - there is a line phone in the cottage, but it didn't work. We came from abroad and did not have any cell coverage. the host wasn't interested in that issue; - the TV in the living room did not have any TV channel service, but a subscription for Netflix and Amazon Prime. The subscription expired in 2 days after our arrival. we could not report it to the host due to distance to the office and the phone not working. More than a half of the stay we could not use the TV;
