This property was far and away the best home rental we have been in. It was not only a beautiful home with lots of character which was tastefully decorated, but it was exceptionally clean. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the utensils and basics we needed to cook up some relaxed vacay meals. The thoughtful additions the hosts provided, (local whole bean coffee to grind for breakfast, a plethora of books on the Yosemite area, to name a couple), made the stay extra special. It was quite hot the first few days of our stay but we still ended up using the hot tub in the late evenings which felt so good after long days hiking. We played card games at the fire table and took advantage of the ping pong table and pickle ball court, as well. I could go on and and on but I will finish by saying we would stay in any property hosted by Brian and Bruce! Not all of our family could make it this trip so we definitely want to come back. Thanks for making our California vacation so memorable and relaxing!

This place was awesome! Well stocked, it had everything you needed, very clean, beautiful property. Great location, about an hour from the gate to Yosemite (with no traffic). We really appreciated the coffee grinder and enjoyed the local coffee beans. Beds were very comfortable.

Home is as advertised or better. A great layout and stunning property in the Santa Barbara style. Brian is an excellent host, providing clear, timely communication for easy checkin and check out.

We had such a wonderful stay in this charming and beautifully restored home! The property is simply lovely and in a convenient location to walk into Mariposa while also feeling like a luxurious private retreat. We used it as a "home base" to explore around Yosemite and it was a relaxing space to return to after each day of adventures. The beds are very comfortable, and the house is well-equipped with everything we could need, especially in the kitchen. We also enjoyed the hot tub and my kids loved the sports courts. Best of all, Brian is the most responsive and accommodating host I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Thanks for an excellent stay!

We stayed with friends and our children and had a fantastic time. It is an hour drive to Yosemite and after a long day of hiking this home is just what’s needed to rest up.

Such an amazing house - beautiful, many top notch amenities, and activities to keep the family busy when we were home after a long day of hiking. Also very convenient to many restaurants. Communication with owners was great and really helpful as we had some concerns with wildfires nearby before our stay.

This home provided the perfect setting for our family during our Yosemite adventure. Brian was helpful with advising us on making a reservation for our visit and making us feel welcome. The home is well equipped from fluffy towels to a kitchen that provided for every need. I highly recommend this beautiful 1934 home to all who seek a spacious place to stay while visiting Yosemite. The pictures of the house and description are true to form!

This is our favorite home of all the homes we’ve rented in the US. Brian is super responsive. The kitchen was fully equipped to prepare meals for 6 easily. The hot tub was awesome, as was all of the outdoor seating. The charm of the house is amazing and the location is perfect for Yosemite and Sequoia We will be back.

The home was spotless and so professionally managed. My two teenage boys loved the basketball court and my husband and I loved being within a few minutes walk to restaurants and shops. I definitely recommend!!

We had a great time on this property! It was clean and had almost everything we needed. If you are a guest, I’d recommend buying or bringing shampoo/conditioner/body wash because there wasn’t enough for our party if 8 there. The indoor and outdoor spaces are both beautiful, and we had a great time with the host leaving detailed instructions. The only thing I’d recommend is a towel rack for the master bedroom bathroom downstairs, but otherwise it’s a perfect place to stay!

Fantastic property, nestled in an excellent location central to the quaint town of Mariposa. Everything was within walking distance and the drive to Yosemite was beautiful. The sports area was popular with my teenage kids and the amenities were perfect after a long day at Yosemite and Mariposa Groves. Couldn’t have asked for a more convenient, comfortable and peaceful location. Perfect!

The home was BEAUTIFUL!!!! My husband and I traveled here with 3 adult children and took full advantage of the hot tub, sport court, and the "bonfire" table. We spent three days in Yosemite hiking and loved coming back to a spot to rest, relax and have family time. The beds were wonderful, the showers are top notch and the kitchen is well beyond stocked. What a great place for a family getaway!! Thanks for opening your home to us.

The house was so well appointed and absolutely perfect for our day trips to Yosemite! Restaurants were easily walkable and the house owner’s recommendations were great. We all loved the hot tub after a long day walking, hiking, or biking in the park!

This house is phenomenal and Brian the host was excellent. The house and location was awesome and simply amazing.

I highly recommend this property- it is a destination in itself. It is a beautiful, historic property which gave our group of four longtime friends an elegant and comfortable space to hang out and catch up, both inside and outside. The pictures represent the house well. The living room has an Ahwahnee feel. Everyone got her own bedroom, and we even played tennis on the sport court. The house is one block from the cute little downtown Mariposa, where we found several boutiques to do some shopping and a nice restaurant for our one dinner out. We enjoyed cooking in the well-appointed kitchen of the house, and loved that we did not get in the car once during our stay (although it would be a nice one-hour drive into Yosemite Valley for anyone so inclined). This would be a great place to stay in any season. I’d love to return.

What a perfect place! A beautifully restored home with all of the modern amenities you could want. It’s clear that Brian and Bruce are committed to quality, communication and comfort. Countless nice touches like amply supplied kitchen and bathrooms, all furnishings are newer and spotless. The house is spacious and the grounds are lovely. We played pickleball and basketball daily and enjoyed the convenience of walking in to town. Easy and scenic drive along the river to the center of Yosemite village. All topped off by welcoming and prompt communication from our host. Couldn’t ask for more, thank you! We look forward to returning next year!

This amazing find came to us quite by accident, our group of 7 family members were visiting Mariposa to spread ashes of a beloved family member at her brothers mountaintop home. We were not all planning to stay together, but thought we would look to see what was available, Bed and breakfasts could not accommodate all of us, and the hotel/motel options were not very exciting so we started looking at VRBO to see what might be available, quite a number of options, but most all looked a little tired at best until we stumbled on this listing. The listing was very detailed and it quickly became clear that it met our basic needs, and the pictures looked good as well. The more we researched the listing, the more surprised we were at the offerings such as hot tub, garage, and an interesting notation of "Fully Stocked" which piqued our interest, and curiosity. Needles to say, we booked the location and excitedly awaited our journey to Mariposa and our VRBO. Upon arrival after a 12 1/2 hour drive from SLC, Utah, we were pleased with the look from the outside, but were not prepared for the OUTSTANDING condition of the home, nor the exquisite beauty to be found inside! The owners of this home spared no expense when preparing this home for its guests, the attention to detail was amazing, they did not miss anything, it was so much more than we could have dreamed of, ALL of us indicated that we would love to live there forever! ALL of the furnishings were gorgeous and if not antique fit right in with the personality of the home. Beautiful rugs adorned the floors in every room, the furnishings were both comfortable and all in excellent condition. In regard to the "Fully Stocked" comment in the listing, we found absolutely nothing you might need missing, there was even a utility drawer containing extra batteries for all devices in the home, a flashlight, and other items. There was plenty of storage in the laundry are for the food we brought. The Hot tub was sparkling clean, and fully opperational, and we tested it every night we were there. The ping pong table got exercised, and we checked out the basketball court though we did not have time to play. Needless to say, we will all be planning trips here again in the future, probably not as such a large group, but it easily accommodated all of us. This property is a rare gem, be sure and take advantage of it.

We spent several nights at this home, arriving just before a large storm. The house is an architectural gem, spacious, and nicely done. The kitchen is well equipped and the bedrooms are very comfortable and nicely furnished. We look forward to returning in the spring or summer in order to enjoy the outdoor patio and sports court.

This is a beautiful home located a block from the main street. The town of Mariposa can get a little noisy but that dies down later in the evenings. Communication with the owners was great. The home has all the amenities you would need and more! Perfect place to stay if you are exploring Yosemite.

We enjoyed an amazing stay at the Villa in Mariposa. It served as our base camp for a week long adventure in the Yosemite area. The house exceeded expectations in all ways. The indoor space was comfortable and clean. The outdoor space provided so many options to unwind after a day hiking through the parks, including the shared sport court, ping pong table and hot tub. The house is also within walking distance of many restaurants and stores in Mariposa. Bottom-line, you won't go wrong by choosing to stay here. We miss it already.

This property was an absolutely perfect stay for our Yosemite vacation. Due to unforeseen events, our initial group dwindled down to just four of us (myself, my boyfriend, and another couple ages 34-40). That meant the four of us ended up with way more house than we needed, but we have absolutely no complaints about that. This property could be a vacation in and of itself. It’s eclectic, comfortable, well-maintained, and includes plenty of amenities and thoughtful touches. We came primarily to explore/hike Yosemite National Park. This property is roughly 50mins from the closest gate (if you’re from the East Coast like us, don’t let that distance concern you—it’s a really pretty drive, almost a straight shot from the house, and it always seems to take at least an hour to get anywhere out West). Between the hot tub, grill, basketball court, and outdoor seating, we enjoyed coming “home” to this house after a long day of hiking to grill out, relax, and soak our muscles. The house is located in the heart of downtown Mariposa, which is one of the cutest (albeit strangest) little towns ever. It’s within walking distance of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and stores. And yet, the various plants, bushes, and fruit trees (with rather delicious apples I might add) all around the parameter of the property create a great sense of privacy. We also liked the attention to detail and how well stocked the house was. There were board games, yard games (ping pong and corn hole), plenty of linens, throw blankets, pillows, and cleaning supplies, and a fully stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly need. When booking this place, we also liked that the house had three king beds, making it perfect for multiple couples. Brian was also great to work with. I emailed him with questions a couple times prior to our trip, and each time he was responsive, friendly, and helpful. We would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone else!

My friends and I had a great stay. Our hosts have been accommodating and helpful with the planning of our trip. The beds are super comfortable. The bathrooms are well stocked with fresh towels and some toiletries. We love their kitchen. We cooked and feasted everyday.
