Crooked Lake Cottage with boat dock and sandy swimming beach!
L'un des six chalets privés sur le lac Crooked dans un cadre familial comme un parc situé près du célèbre banc de sable. Ce chalet est baigné de lumière naturelle dans un intérieur confortable en pin avec toutes les commodités nécessaires. C'est l'endroit parfait pour toutes les saisons.
Le joli chalet de deux chambres (dont un grand loft) et deux salles de bains peut accueillir six personnes. La cuisine est bien équipée pour tout ce dont vous pouvez imaginer avoir besoin.
450 pieds de façade front de mer partagée et la moitié est une plage de sable. L'eau de fond peu profonde et sablonneuse est la meilleure et la plus sûre baignade sur le lac Crooked. Détendez-vous et détendez-vous le soir en faisant griller des guimauves dans l'une des multiples foyers de feu de joie.
Si vous êtes intéressé, nous avons 2 kayaks de taille régulière, un plus petit kayak, un pédalo et un nénuphar (tapis aquatique) à louer pour 200 $ pour la semaine. Faites le nous savoir.
De plus, nouveauté en 2013, la piste cyclable élargie de Little Traverse Wheelway est accessible juste en face de notre chalet. Profitez d'une superbe balade à vélo jusqu'à Petoskey ou la jolie ville d'Alanson, à seulement 5 km au nord.

Beautiful cottage with a short drive to Mackinaw and Petoskey. There's a nice beach that our kids enjoyed winding down at. We would utilize this cottage without reservations for future adventures.

The location and house was just as advertised.we had never been on crooked lake with a sandy beach.
We had a terrific week of weather,short drive to northwood family restaurant,Bob's place,and golfing at chestnut valley.
We hope to be back next summer.

This was a great place for our family to stay. It was in a quiet location outside of Petosky but close enough it to all the main attraction. The cottage was very clean and well stocked with all the things need to cook in the kitchen. Nice little beach to relax at night. The owner was also very quick to reply to any questions we and even gave us suggestion on places to visit. I would recommend this place to friends and family and would even rent again the next time going to Petosky.

Had a great weekend away for our anniversary with the kids. The use of the lilly pad was absolutely perfect and my the kids LOVED spending a bunch of time at the beach.

House was very clean and well kept. Beds were comfortable. Cluster of lake homes share a beach and small marina. Simple check-in and out. Close to everything needed while on vacation. If you have kids, renting the lily pad and kayaks is a must! Perfect vacation to Petoskey.

Cute clean cottage on Crooked Lake with shared sandy beachfront. Perfect for children, shallow waters go out for a large distance from shore. Light, bright and has everything you need for a great stay!

This cabin is cute and clean and the owners are great hosts! The location of the cottage has zero private space and is very close to the highway consequently making it too noisy for us.

Perfection!!
The house was absolutely adorable and very well equipped with everything we needed. We spent alot of time on the nice sand beach and enjoying the lake view from the deck.
Megan was fantastic at answering all questions in a very timely manner. Definitely looking to rent again next year 😀

Adorable cottage
I loved this cottage. It was clean, cute and well stocked. It's in a convenient location for all sorts of activities. The little beach was clean, the water is nice and shallow and clean. Chairs and umbrellas are provided which is a major plus for me. There is a small marina to dock your boat, with a boat launch not too far away. The parking with a boat trailer is a little tight but we made it work. We will for sure stay here again.

Very nice place
The house was very nice and clean. Kitchen had everything we needed. We had campfires on tbe Beach and watched the sunset. I would highly recommend.

Wonderful Family Weekend
Our family thorough enjoyed our stay over Labor Day weekend. They had everything we needed to keep 3 teenage boys busy. The lake was beautiful. We have every intention on renting there again!

Amazing summer vacation
We have been vacationing in the Petoskey area since I was a little kid. This is by far the best place we have stayed!
The location and beach/lake access cannot be beat. The kids (and adults 😉) loved the LilyPad and kayaks. Already planning on coming back next summer!

Didn't want to leave:)
It was a great week @ Megan & Tom's cottage! The cottage was as described and pictured online. It is accurate that the front bedroom does hear road noise since it is up against a busy road, however it was not a deal breaker and did not bother us. We spent most of the time in the kitchen/living room and of course outside. It was cute, cozy and had all the essentials. Loved having a washer/dryer as well. There was a new gas grill on the property so we grilled almost every night. There is a grocery store (Olsen's) a few miles away to get groceries and bundles of wood. After grilling each night we swam and then had a fire down on the beach overlooking the lake. We also rented the kayaks to explore the lake. There is a nice 10-15 min walk along the water in front of what looked like family owned homes/cottages. Even though it rained 1/2 of our stay we made the best of it and explored. Charlevoix, Mackinac Island and the Sleeping Bear Dunes were a fun day trip. Also check out Pond Farm Winery/Brewery for lunch and drinks as well as the nature walk close by. Megan and her family were great, we met them one night doing smores and our son enjoyed a little basketball with Sander their son:) We would definitely recommend staying and we would return as well:)

Amazing vacation!!!
Megan and Tom Cole are the nicest people to rent from. Their cottage was so beautiful and clean. The decor is perfect. Beds were comfy. Well stocked kitchen. Kayaks and lily pad were right next to the cottage for easy access for my son and his friend. Any questions, we had were so quickly answered. Petoskey is close to get anything we needed. It was seriously one of the most fun and relaxing vacations we have had in awhile. We will be back!!!

Very nice
The cottage was exactly like described inside. It was clean and modern with fully stocked amenities. The lake access was a nice feature. It is a shared common area, so I imagine with more than two families there it may get crowded. The kids enjoyed the water and the basketball area. This property is very much kid friendly.
The property sits feet from a busy road. It wasn’t a deal breaker for us since we were only staying for a tournament weekend.
There are two queen beds upstairs and one down stairs. The bed up stairs was very lumpy and sagged in the middle. The other queen was much more firm and overall comfortable.
Ultimately, we had a very nice stay and the owners were very gracious, making sure we had all the amenities we needed.
I would recommend this property. It is in a great location and just minutes away from Petoskey.

Lovely little lakeside cottage
We had a wonderful time at this property. Check in and check out were easy. The property owner was very responsive and did everything she could to make us feel at home and comfortable reaching out to her. She had lots of great recommendations in the area. The kitchen is well stocked. The place was very clean which we especially appreciated given the pandemic. Close to both Petoskey and Harbor Springs with lots to do in the area. You can see the lovely lake from the unit but the parking lot is between the unit and the lake. My only other complaint would be that the unit is very close to a busy road. Didn’t bother us really but could be a turn off for some. Overall very happy. Highly recommend. Would stay here again.

Crooked Lake Cottage was very clean and cozy for our fall get away last weekend. The property manager was very attentive prior to and during our stay. The home is a short drive from Downtown Petoskey, located right of Highway 31.

September Getaway
Great little cozy cottage. We chose it for the access to the bike & walking Trailway and private beach. We had a super view of the lake ( until cottage #4 was occupied ) Beach was a good sunset viewing spot. Oden is close to many activity spots in the Petoskey area. Be sure to check out Dutch Oven Bakery in Alanson. Ryde Marine has all sorts of watercraft for rent . Crooked Lake has always been one of our favorite spots

Just the pandemic getaway we needed!
This cottage had all the amenities we needed to escape from further south in the state for a week. We really enjoyed the on-site beach and fire pit. There were others staying at the other 5 cottages, but beach and fire-pit space was never an issue and we always felt safely social distanced. The close proximity to the bike trail was great! We were able to ride into Alanson and into Petoskey a couple times. We cooked in the kitchen and found all the cooking implements needed and used the grill once. We also enjoyed that there was a TV in the bedroom areas and used the DVD player to watch a few movies together. The hosts were very responsive and even gave us recommendations on the one rainy day we had. We were a tiny bit disappointed there was no fudge at check-in after reading the previous reviews, but with all the pandemic concerns we understood.

a week up north with the family
The house is adorable. We enjoyed the layout and it is really done in good taste. The kitchen is set up very well with all that you need for cooking, etc. Oh yes, no teaspoons :). We loved the Petoskey area and did so much. We all enjoyed. Sarah was so helpful, very much appreciated.

Cute cottage
The property was very clean and nicely decorated. The owners were very nice and left us fudge and some condiments which was very nice!!
Beach area nice and the swimming was great.
My only complaint was the noise of US 31 in our back door. the window units helped though

Cute getaway cottage
Great location with all the amenities needed provided. Nice little beach area and dock available if you have a boat. Very cute on inside. Owner helpful and quick to respond. Rented this property many times and plan on coming back.
Only complaint is other cottages nearby (with bigger groups)sometimes can be loud and take over beach area.

Really great place
The cottage is quite cute, inside and out. The resort is exactly as described, with a sandy beach area, boat docking, and views out on the lake. The window A/C units do a nice job of keeping it cool even on the hot days, so no concerns there. The kitchen was fully equipped and had just about everything we needed, which was helpful since we eat all our meals in. The location on the lake is perfect, you are near the sandbar and can see sunsets from the beach. My only knock is how close it is to the highway, which is why I gave 4 stars for that. But the convenience of being close to town and the road has to have a drawback, I guess. The road noise is a bit loud at times but you get used to it.
The owners were amazing to deal with and took very good care of us. Overall an extremely nice stay!

Fantastic cottage on the lake
This was a great property with lake access, a volleyball net, and beachside fire pits. The house has everything you could possibly need (even forks for roasting marshmallows!). It’s close to Petoskey and Harbor Springs without all of the town traffic. It’s also close enough to do a day trip to Mackinac Island. Sarah was very helpful and answered all of our questions. We would definitely rent this place again!

So great we came back for more!
This was our second time staying at Sarah’s cottage and it was as wonderful as our first stay! Sarah was very quick to respond to all of our concerns and was a gracious host. Upon arrival, they had a box of local Murdik’s fudge waiting for us. YUM! Such a nice touch! They also provided a complete booklet of recommendations for restaurants, activities and their favorite things in the Petoskey area. You just can’t beat the location of this cottage. There is only a short drive to Petoskey, it is close to a supermarket, restaurant down the rod, etc. The lakeshore beach is fantastic with fire pits, chairs, tables and kids beach toys. There is also a basketball hoop and volleyball net with balls. We will definitely be back to visit Sarah’s cottage or any others she owns. Wonderful host, wonderful time had by all. Thank you Sarah!
