David's home was perfect for my best friend and me... everything you need, plus some lovely extras complements of David (fresh fruit, a few grocery items, a bottle of wine... even a converter I could borrow). Agia Ana has the perfect balance of calm and quiet, and lovely restaurants near by on the beach (just a 10 minute walk). He gave us terrific information, and was available for anything we needed. Thank you David, for making Naxos even more special!

David was a fantastic host. The place was very clean and was just as advertised. The only slight issue is that parking in front of the unit is very tight so it is better to park down a steep hill and walk to the unit. I would definitely recommend this property to other travellers.

Absolutely loved every moment of our stay in Naxos! David’s home was perfect for us…two couples and a toddler. The house was immaculately clean, well set up with everything we could possibly need, and with extremely thoughtful and generous supplies in the fridge and pantry. David met us at the house to show us around and shared his wealth of knowledge about the island and what to see and do. It was lovely to be in a quiet residential spot, yet still just an easy 8 minute walk to the bus stop, shops, restaurants and beaches. It would be very easy to go no further….but the bus service to beautiful Naxos town is fantastic, and it’s well worth renting a car to go up to the beautiful villages in the mountains. We fell in love with Naxos, and definitely plan to be back there to stay in David’s home again. David was probably the best host we’ve ever come across….excellent communication, very efficient, friendly and generous.

We just spent 4 nights here and absolutely loved it. Naxos was by far our favorite island of the 2 we visited. I thought the location was great. It’s about an 8 min walk to the beach, and several restaurants and supermarkets. The place was clean and very well kept and the air conditioners worked well. David has been on Naxos a long time and is full of useful suggestions and information. We found having a rental car to be very useful as the island is spread out and there is much to see and do.

David was the best host. He met us upon arrival from ferry. His place is spotless and he left us wine bread coffee fruit orange juice jam and more to get us started. He was available anytime for questions and told us lots of good restaurants and points of interest beaches etc. we loved Naxos. David’s place is in perfect location in Agia Anna within walking distance to store’s restaurants and beaches. There is laundry beach chairs and everything else you need for a great location. We have made many great memories thanks to David. We will miss Naxos.

Spacious and well equipped unit in great location
This unit as it appears. David is quite helpful and the place is well stocked. Beach chairs and towels, sun hats, sun screen and first aid kit which we used! Good tools for cooking should you choose to cook. Favorite features, outdoor space, suites on upper and lower levels--good for privacy and walk distance to beach and resturants.

David is an amazing host. His property is exactly as described and pictured. David went above and beyond for my daughter and I when our rental car did not work out as planned. He gave many suggestions and each of them were amazing. Our only regret is that 9 nights in Naxos is not enough time. Thank you David for helping our experience to be amazing!

What a beautiful view and wonderful home!
First, let me start by saying what a great host David is. He gave us a ton of advance information and suggested a couple of rental car companies. You definitely need a car on the island! The home was super clean, well equipped, and everything worked (even the hot water). Amazing views from the three decks. Would 100% recommend this home!

Perfect sunsets every evening
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during August 2020. David, the host, is most informative and enthusiastic about all the amazing things Naxos has to offer. The house is a three-story townhouse equipped with many amenities. Most appreciated are the air conditioning and modern bathrooms. The views of the Aegean and nearby islands are spectacular and can be enjoyed from each of the three terraces. Overall a wonderful stay - relaxing and memorable. We hope to be back again soon!

Wonderful stay in Naxos
We really enjoyed our stay in Naxos and particularly in Agia Anna. David (Brown) was an excellent host and was so accommodating that I dont think he could not have done more for us - we especially appreciated an early morning lift to Naxos as the busses were not running.
The property was brilliantly equipped with all conveniences and David was quick to provide anything you might need including a bottle of wine cooling in the fridge on arrival. He lives near the property and was always available with lots of info on the island, where to find good restaurants, things to do and see etc.
The property is in an excellent location with 3 great beaches within 10 minutes walk, Plaka, Agai Anna and Prokopios, and also just a 5 minute walk to restaurants, car hire and supermarkets.
The accommodation was spotlessly clean and perfect for our family of 4, and each floor has a balcony with sunloungers and chairs so you can really enjoy the brilliant sunsets.
Thanks again David!

Most pleasant stay.
Out stay in Agia Anna was perfect. From the start, when we were met by our host David Brown, to the end was wonderful. Upon arrival we found our place equipped with everything we might need to get us started, from bread, milk, butter, right to a bottle of wine. David took the time to give us a run down of the island as a whole, as well as our our blue flag beach which was a short walk away.
The accommodations were spotlessly clean and very very comfortable for two couples. The bedrooms, each with its own en-suite, are separated by the middle floor which was the kitchen and living/dining room. Each floor has a deck that overlooks the sea.
On David’s suggestions, we rented a car and toured the island which made for a very enjoyable day. The scenery was spectacular as were the villages we passed through. I should note that there were plenty of little restaurants/cafes a long the way where you could find excellent food and fine refreshments. Should you venture into Naxos town you will find a thriving old world community with all the hustle and bustle of a city of about 10,000.
Agia Anna’s beach is lined with restaurants and each has it’s own set of umbrellas and lounges that are yours to use provided you order a drink or some snacks. The water is crystal clear and the beaches are very clean.
I will close with the fact that we have used Vrbo many times with great pleasure but this was our most pleasant, not just because of the accommodations, but because our host was by far the our most hospitable.

Lovely, Well equipped home. Spotlessly clean.
Loved this home on Naxos. Our host arranged for a taxi at the port and met us at the home to go over the features and local information. A generous selection of fruits, bread, and basic needs were provided and appreciated. The home is on three floors so guests need to be comfortable with climbing a bit. Short walk of 500 meters takes you to beaches stores and restaurants. We recommend this home.

Great layout with full suites on upper and lower levels and open living space (family, dining area and great kitchen) on main. Spacious decks with great views on all levels and nice front porch with sitting area. Easy walk to the beautiful beach with fabulous restaurants. No need to rent a car!

David was extremely welcoming and helpful. He was always answering the E-mails in short time. The house was just like in the pictures. If there is anything more to wish for, it would be preferable with an air-con also in the living-room.

This is a charming property, close to Agia Anna beaches and restaurants. We had a fabulous time staying in this townhouse and the owner has thought of every little detail to make the house extremely comfortable. The views and sunsets from the terrace are stunning and David was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We'd highly recommend & would visit again in a heartbeat!

Great property, well located for the beaches
Had a great time at David's property. He was on hand to tell us where everything was and where to eat etc. House was lovely, clean and in an excellent quiet location but only 10 mins walk from the closest beach and 15 mins from Plaka. Had a wonderful time and we even saw a turtle whilst snorkeling in the closest beach port.
Thank you David for a great week in your house.

Living the Dream
From the moment you enter the door .. you know you've arrived in paradise.
Right from our first inquiry with David, we experienced professional service from a gentleman who is not only helpful and attentive but shows a true love for his island.
Quality and attention to detail definitely sums up this lovely home that is close to all local amenities in Agia Anna without being on top of them. For me this is the true Greece and I can't recommend a trip to Naxos highly enough.
Our party of two couples spent three glorious weeks here, soaking up the Naxos sunshine, beautiful beaches and mountain tripping to quaint villages where you will find warm and friendly people and the true culture of Greece.
This home is within walking distance to an abundance of tavernas that serves up "authentic" Greek cuisine and will not disappoint. If you find the need to cater your own dinner, the kitchen doesn't lack for one thing. We did so on a few occasions and ate on one of the beautiful terraces watching some amazing sunsets.
Plaka, Agia Anna and Prokopis beaches are an easy walking distance if you're fit. Although it is recommended that you pick up a car to adventure further into Naxos, we did it only twice. Most of the time, we walked, took the local bus or called our "go to taxi guy". We found glorious coves for swimming in the crystal clear Aegean Sea, took an amazing day sail and ferried to Santorini. It's all easy and accessible from Naxos.
Our hearts are full of gratitude for experiencing this beautiful paradise called Naxos and laying our heads down each night in this lovely home.
I'll be dreaming of returning one day.

Fabulous stay
We had an amazing time on Naxos! The house was even better than pictured with the best of everything from beds, beach stuff and a fully equipped kitchen. We loved the balconys where we could eat breakfast with the cool breezes and watch the sun setting at night over the water. David was incredibly helpful in meeting us, giving us the tour of the house as well as restaurant and beach suggestions. The location was central to everything and a quick easy walk to a market, loads of tavernas and multiple beaches. We can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay!

Prachtige stranden, erg vriendelijke bevolking, mooi achterland. Kortom een echte aanrader.

Beautiful House on a Beautiful Island
We were unfortunate in that the weather on Naxos was far from what might normally be expected at this time of year, but the fact that this property was so good, and the owner so helpful, went a long way to mitigating the inevitable disappointment. The kitchen was very well equipped and we were able to spend some time cooking our own Greek-inspired meals using some of the superb local produce (why isn't Greek food better regarded I'd like to know?). The picture on the right just hints at the glories of the view, and when the weather did finally relent it was a pleasure to sit on the balcony and stare at the sunsets (and later in the evening the stars). I'd have no hesitation at all in recommending this property.
Naxos itself really is a great island for people who love outdoor activities. The walking/hiking is superb, with (usually) well-marked paths taking you through some stunning countryside. The island's ancient sites are well known and all are worth visiting (the Temple of Demeter is the finest in my view), but possibly of less renown are its flora and fauna. The Greek island most famous for its birds is probably Lesbos, but I wonder if - with a little determined exploration - Naxos might come to rival it. We don't 'go' birdwatching as such; we simply see what we see when we see it, but even we managed to spot 72 different species, including such charismatic birds as Caspian Tern, Cory's Shearwater, Squacco Heron, Slender-billed Gull, Stone Curlew, Collared Flycatcher, Griffon Vulture (possibly the island's star bird), Montagu's Harrier and Cretzschmar's Bunting. I'd be willing to bet that with a bit of local knowledge Naxos would provide top-class birdwatching. And nor would the botanist be disappointed; we found whole colonies of superb orchids, and hillsides covered in vetches, cornflowers, poppies and other glories - all in their prime.
I don't think that we managed to get half of things we wanted to do, so I can see myself back on Naxos in the not-too-distant future; and with any luck, this property would be available!

Quiet and perfect to relax near by Agia Anna
The perfect place for a couple with teens, each part of the family has his own floor with his own big terrace.
The 3 levels house are very clean, convenient, very well furnished, we didn’t miss anything.
The house is quiet, easy walking distance from Agia Anna bars, restaurants and beautiful beaches.
The beauty of this coast was a good surprise, we didn’t expect it would be so gorgeous.
We recommend to rent a car to go around Naxos ; it is a quite big and a very interesting island to explore.
Our stay was in mid July, the place wasn’t crowded at all, just fine.
MC David is friendly, cool and pro, giving us all good spots to spend a sporty or a lazy time on Naxos island.
Thank you David for standing awake at 6 am after a football world cup night, waiting for us at the harbor,
because our ship was stuck in Mykonos the evening before.
We really appreciated to meet you on that morning, believe us, and we appreciated just to meet you.
You are the best host in the Cyclades ! Hope we’ll come back soon.

Tremendous Naxos Vacation
From the time I contacted David about renting his townhouse in Naxos to the day we reluctantly left , David was very helpful with everything from car rental contacts to directions to the grocery store. His knowledge of the island provided great recommendations for ideas of things to do during our stay. The apartment is located within walking distance to many beaches and the town of Agia Anna. Restaurants, shops and grocery stores are very close as well.
We enjoyed the well appointed and very spacious townhouse and hope to return in the future.
5.0 / 10.0
We stayed at this property from 9-16 April, 2011, (slightly outside the main holiday season).
The house was everything that was described (and more) beautifully laid our on three floors, with the living/dining area in the centre, and with breathtaking views from a terrace on each floor, out across the Aegean to Paros and beyond. The house was very well appointed and furnished, and spotlessly clean.
The owner, David, could not have been kinder. He picked us up from the port on our day of arrival, and was kind enough to drop us off on our day of departure too. He explained how everything in the house worked, and gave us lots of helpful advice about places to visit, restaurants etc.
We did not have our own transport and the coastal bus service had not yet started, so we used the services of a very reliable local taxi driver (recommended by David), to get around.
In fact, the lack of bus service proved to be something of a blessing in disguise, as it meant that we took lots of walks in the surrounding countryside, full of spring flowers at this time of the year. This included a visit to the nearby (c 4 km) Sanctuary at Dioynsus at Iria, and further afield (we got a taxi but walked part of the way back) to the Temple of Demeter near Sagri. We also took a local bus to Apeiranthos in the mountains.
The house is situated at Aghia Anna, about 6.5 km from the main town (Chora). It is reached via a quiet lane-way, but is only a 5-10 minute walk to the Aghia Anna beach, and miles of further sandy beaches just beyond, stretching away towards Mikri Vigla. When we visited, the beach was deserted and only one restaurant in Aghia Anna was open, but I imagine it would be very different later in the season!
However, there were lots of excellent restaurants open in Chora, all vying for our custom, and lots of sightseeing in the main town: the Venetian Castro and the Archaeological Museum are well worth a visit.
For anyone hoping to make excursions to other islands, it would probably be advisable to wait until the Summer ferry schedules started in May, but we felt ourselves to be very fortunate to have ended up in this lovely place.
