This property is just what you need for a great holiday! Lots (and I mean lots) of outdoor space with small, but comfortable interior. Bedrooms are comfortable and kitchen is big enough to cook a meal. Roxanne is great- she greeted us and checked in to see how we were. Cleaners also came mid week to change linen and towels. A 5 star service, and we will be back here if we are ever back in Afytos!

Lovely village and house within walking distance of many taverns and shops. Quaint village with amazing beaches nearby. We would certainly love to return. A real gem!

We stayed at this house for one week as we were attending a wedding approximately 30 minutes drive away. We chose Afytos as it seemed a typical small Greek holiday village and we were not disappointed. The house was very centrally located and had all amenities and conveniences to hand. The house itself was lovely and the pool and barbeque area exceptional. Everything was kept very clean. The owner Roxanne could not have been more helpful. She organised our transfers to and from the airport and also arranged the best price taxi for us to travel to and from the wedding. I would highly recommend any family to stay at this accommodation.

Lovely accommodation in an excellent area, very convenient to eat out and go to the local beach. Villa was cool in the exceptional heat and pool was very welcome. Would like to visit again sometime.

We had a short stay of four days in Afitos in early August and we are really glad to have picked this property for our holidays. The house was big, clean, beautifully decorated and fully equipped for our stay. Roxanne, our hostess, was very welcoming, always available in case of questions and visited frequently in order to take care of the garden and the pool. As the house is stone built, it remained cool despite the summer heat. The pool was ideal for our early morning and late afternoon swims and the garden was very beautiful (disregarding some issues with the mosquitoes, which are inevitable in Greece during this time of the year). The house is ideally situated in the heart of Afitos whilst remaining very calm during day and night. The central square of the town, most restaurants and shops (supermarket, bakery etc.) are all within 5 minutes walking distance. Only minor inconvenience was that, due to the thick stone walls of the house, the WiFi connection was limited within the building and impossible in the garden and pool. I would definitely stay there again during another visit in Chalkidiki.

Very nice stone house, comfortable and well decorated. Perfect pool and garden. Very close to everything, wihout the noise and traffic of the center. The photos do not lie!!! Roxani has been a kind and discrete owner. We had perfect family holidays and we definitely recommend it!!

We have stayed in Stone Mainson Katsaneiko beginning of July 2016, for 10 nights, a family of 2 adults and 3 small children. Worth to mention from the beginning that the property is much more beautiful then the pictures show. I was delighted the minute I stepped in the courtyard: the property has 2 access, one for the car also. You can access it from 2 different streets. The pool is perfect in size and temperature (between 30-31C) , and Roxanne used to come regularly to clean it: perfect spot for the kids when you skip the beach. The house itself is beautiful, with a kitchen and terrace at 1st floor, where you can lay if too hot outside. The house has 2 air-conditioning on each floor, both very efficient. I loved the location of the house, that is on a very quiet street, but 5 minutes from the taverns and ice cream place . It has the best bakery with best homemade ice cream. Also, nearby there is a small family restaurant with very good food, from which you can order and have your meal nearby the pool, if you won't care to reach a restaurant or the kids are hungry and need to be fed immediately:). Perfect set-up when you have kids and those who have small kids know that sometimes logistics can be difficult . There are beautiful beaches around Afytos(which itself is a very chic and charming traditional village) , we used to go each day on a different beach. We liked very much Niobu beach, Glarokavos(recommended by Roxanne) and Sani. Roxanne is a very nice person, very relaxed and friendly. We liked her very much (and our kids too:) and this is also an important part of a holiday : the quality of the people you encounter. She's top quality, just loved her. All in all, for us it was an excellent holiday: kids enjoyed very much the beach, the sea and the pool, plenty of space for their sleep in the house, quiet location , wonderful food at taverns, great house, great host! We were beyond delighted to have found such a wonderful home. From the moment we arrived, Roxanne took the time to walk us through each and every amenity and function of the home. The grounds and the home were immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we could have wanted or needed. The location is just steps from a wonderful bakery and butcher and many restaurants and cafes. There is also a Lidl just a 5 minute drive from the house. We both walked and drove to the beach. The walk was lovely, direct and easy. The beach was nice and not crowded and the water was a very comfortable temperature. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it. We will definitely be back again!!

Our family, consisting of my husband and I, our 2 young elementary age children and my MIL, spent a week in the home. It was clean, spacious, beautifully decorated and appointed with everything we needed and sparkling clean. Roxanne was so kind and took her time to explain every amenity and function of the home. The location was only a 1 minute walk to the center of town, amazing restaurants, a lovely bakery and a butcher. We both walked to the beach and drove to the beach, each was equally easy and beautiful. We were delighted to have the pool as we visited early in the summer season and there was a touch of short rain bursts with made our trips to the beach a bit short on a couple of our days. The family could swim while I was getting breakfast or lunch ready, what an absolute delight!!!! Thank you for your amazing hospitality, we WILL see you again!!

Nous avons passé un séjour extrêmement agréable dans cette maison ancienne en pierre, la plus belle du village typique d'Afytos. Idéalement située au coeur du village, à deux pas des commerces et des tavernes, tout en offrant un espace clos préservé de l'agitation touristique qui doit envahir le village l'été, la maison a été aménagée avec un soin extrême par la propriétaire Roxane, architecte, qui a veillé à proposer tout le confort moderne en conservant le style de celle-ci. Côté extérieure, balcon, grande terrasse ombragée pour les repas (très beau barbecue en pierre), citronniers et nombreuses plantes et fleurs, coin piscine, forment un ensemble au charme fou. Fait rare, la réalité est largement supérieure à l'idée qu'on s' en fait avant à partir des photos sur le site. La maison dispose de tous les équipements nécessaires et la place de parking à l'intérieur de la propriété est très utile car il est très difficile de stationner dans le village. Un grand merci à Roxane qui est une personne très sympathique et très à l'écoute du moindre souci.

Wir haben 10 Tage in dem sehr schönen Haus in Afitos verbracht. Leider ist es ja oft so, dass die Beschreibung und Wirklichkeit nicht übereinstimmen. In diesem Haus trifft alles genauo so charmant und stimmig zu, wie es im Internet beschrieben ist: 2 große Schlafzimmer, die neben allem Komfort auch mit super Klima-Anlagen punkten konnten, eine sehr gut eingerichtete und ausgestattete Küche, Waschmascgine, schön eingewachsenes Grundstück, mit liebevollen Stitz- und Liegeplätzen, etc....Der Garten war sehr gepflegt und die nahezu tägliche unauffällige Pflege von Garten und pool haben unseren Aufenthalt ebenso angenehm gemacht, wie der regelmäßige room-service und vor allem die liebevolle Betreuung durch eine perfekte Gastgeberin, die jederzeit ansprechbar war und mit Rat und Tat in allen Lebenslagen geholfen hat. Die Lage - in dem wirklich schönsten Dorf auf Chalikidi - ist perfekt. Man ist mitten drin, fußläufig von allem was man machen will entfernt und trotzdem überzeugt das charmante individuelle Haus durch seine Ruhe und sehr private Atmosphäre, Wir waren 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder im Alter von 10 Jahren, das Haus ist in jedem Fall für Familien aber auch für Paare oder eine entsprechende Gruppe von Erwachsenen geeignet. Wer Individualität zu schätzen weiß ist hier genau richtig - Danke Roxanne.

From the moment we arrived in Afytos and wound our way through the tiny cobbled streets, to be greeted by the welcoming smile of Roxanne, things were just perfect. The house was wonderful,from the romantic four poster bed to the balcony off the kitchen where we ate breakfast. To the beautiful grounds and fabulous private pool, all a inside a walled haven from the town outside. Who would believe when you are snoozing on your wonderfully comfortable sun lounger that you are only 20m walk from a superb trattoria serving the freshest fish, wonderfully prepared, 75m from the bustling little town square and 300m from the sea? A tiny supermarket selling everything you should need for your holiday is 2 minutes walk away. What could be better? All of this coupled with a fantastic Greek welcome from the local residents of a beautiful unspoilt town and the most charming hostess Roxanne, makes for the most completely wonderful holiday. We will be back!

Probably just like you are doing now, we also scanned the net to find a place to stay in Kassandra. One thing you always worry about are the comments and photos reality or are you going to be disappointed right? Well with this property you have no such problems, to put it simply - it is outstanding. located right in the center of a great little village, plenty of restaurants, near the beach, lots of cafe's and small shops the area was fantastic. The house was all that you see in the photos, a beautifully restored stone villa with a relaxing outdoor area- I can't see anyone not liking it. The owner Roxanne could not have done enough and was always available to help if we needed tips etc and most of all she really made us feel welcome and comfortable...you could not ask for a better host. So if you are looking for a great place and location to stay and enjoy, relax but not be over burdened with a busy tourist area then this is where you should go. We only just arrived home today, but even on the way home we were trying to work out when we can go again and stay...we just loved it. I know you may think my comments are a bit over the top but trust me I would not right this for the sake of it - I don't normally right reviews, but this time I simply wanted to to. For our third holiday in lovely Afytos we wanted our favorite hotel, but we found this oustanding residence on Holiday-Rentals. It was literally love at first sight! And it proved to be the right decision, as we spent such lovely 10 days in "Katsaneiko". First I must say, everything you see on this page, in photos and description, is real... which doesn't happen all the time. This carefully restored and tastefully decorated old Greek mansion is a dream ! I believe it can be listed in "Chateaux & Relais" catalogue. The house is located some 100 m behind the old church in center of Afitos, and all local attractions are in short-walking distance: beach, shops, and all the pitoresque tavernas we love so much. I would not insist so much on the comfort close to 5*, again all details are on the page. Enough to say that Katsaneiko combines greatly every modern utility you need with the superb "antique" set-up. Should mention tough the amazing baldaquin bed in the groundfloor. ...and the unexpectedly good collection of DVDs with some valuable movies and concerts. Garden and pool are so beautiful, that we often skipped the afternoon beach & sea! Lemon, mandarin, fig trees interfere with jasmin and linden. Pool is sized enough for a family and very clean (daily cleaning + automatic system refreshing water few times a day). And the whole garden - including a grill built of natural stone and parking for a car - is beautifully lighted at night ! Unlike many other self-catering residences, the house, the garden and the pool are cleaned daily, and sheets and towels are replaced at mid-week. You can feel the obvious care for the house and love for details of the landlords (a family of architects), that must be definitely shared by visitors. Actually my only worry was if our 9 yrs old kid could be careful with the old funiture and perfectly integrated antiques! But I believe he was impressed too! The landlady was very friendly and supportive in all aspects, before and during our staying. She patiently waited for our late arrival on a Sunday evening, to introduce us to all details of the house. She called often to check if we needed anything. And moreover, she didn't kick us out when we did twice (!) the silly mistake of Laurel & Hardy movies: we shot the entrance door with the keys inside ! So if you love peaceful comfort and relaxation, and I include here the fabulous visual / art comfort of Katsaneiko, this is your place!
