Nino was amazing. Before we even arrived, he made sure that we knew how to get there because often Google can be misleading (in Sicily). We didn't have to second guess directions! Every morning he brought us delicious croissants filled with cream (our choosing). We weren't expecting a kitchen, but there was one provided. It was well equipped with all the things you might need to make a full meal: pots and pans, plates, cups, wine glasses, tumblers, mixing spoons, wine openers. In renovating the apartment, Nino and Francesca thought of everything. We had forgotten an item at the place and they made sure that we got it back. The region where Al-Zabut is located is beautiful, there are plenty of things to see, but really Sambuca deserves its own deep exploration. It has deep traditions of art and artisanship. We stopped by Casa dell' Arte, as well as a metalsmith shop where the artist makes large art and it is displayed throughout the town. Many fabulous restaurants, and it is located in the middle of wine country (Menfi). It was an enchanting weekend and can't wait to go back.

This was a great location (very quiet at night) and the owners have included so many thoughtful touches. There was an unusually severe thunderstorm one night during our stay that actually shattered two windows. Nino and Francesca were on the scene immediately to mop up the rain water, and they had the windows repaired by the next morning.

For early morning showering at this time of year, the water heater setting could have been a little warmer.

Attention to detail, exquisite furnishings, clean and fresh. Kitchen located on the ground floor with very good facilities. Nino arrives each morning just before eight o’clock with fresh croissants beautifully wrapped, everything else is already there. There are a few steps (immaculate tiling) to arrive at the the rest of the accommodation above. Bathroom very good, comfortable bedroom with small balcony and delightful lounge area. Francesca and Nino excellent hosts, threw us in their car and insisted on driving us to a restaurant when we first arrived. And yes the food was good.

Excellent breakfast! We got fresh pastries and orange juice every day. There was plenty of coffee, jam, yoghurt, fruit, etc. Toaster and bread were also provided.

We loved staying at Al-Zabut! Sadly, we were only there one night, but everything was perfect. Communication was great, with excellent directions on how to get there. It is a beautiful B&B and everything was clean. There were snacks in the refrigerator when we arrived and Nino brought breakfast over in the morning. I wish we could have stayed longer and I highly recommend Al Zabut!

We loved the place and the excellent hospitality of Nino and Francesca. Al-Zsbut was most comfortable, welcoming and warm. Excellently kept to high standards and comfort. Highly recommended. Its location was marvellous at the top of extreme part of the old part of town with breathing views of the land surrounding Sambuca.

It was a delightful stay in Al-Zabut! You will meet the lovely couple that hosts this property right in the heart of Sambuca di Sicilia, We were welcomed with traditional pastries from Sambuca called Le minni di virgini. Fresh and delicious croissants stuffed with ricotta cheese and croissants with apricot jam were personally delivered by the hosts every morning at 8 AM for breakfast. We were given excellent recommendations for dinner. The house, which is just around the corner from the cathedral of Sambuca in the center of the village, is full of Italian charm with traditional accents. The flooring still retains its original decorative Italian tiles very typical of this region. The house is completely renovated with all modern comforts and a very comfortable bed all decorated beautifully. The sofa, we were told, can sleep more people. The village's best restaurant is just a 5-min walk away. When you look out of the window of Al-Zabut, you see beautiful village streets and a row of pretty houses romatically lit at night. The place was very clean with all the facilities one needs - an espresso machine with capsules and a milk frother to make capuccino, a tea kettle and a tea pot, all the toiletries, bread, butter, jams, milk, juices, and chocolate too! I would recommend staying in Al-Zabut when you visit Sambuca or even if you visit the nearby cities as it will be a stay one will remember fondly for a very long time.

Wow! This place was amazing! The location was perfect. Free and easy parking next to the house. It was decorated wonderfully and had thoughtful touches all around! The hosts were so kind and helpful! They even have local wines and olive oil to buy if you wanted. We also got some handmade “caffa” which are bags typical to Italy. Sambuca itself was a picture perfect town and we already want to come back to stay in this house again! Breakfast was delivered fresh to us each morning from a local bakery!
