Location was great, the room was clean and quite large. Self check in and check out were fairly easy and it was a great base to explore the city from.

The toilet didn’t appear to be attached to the wall properly so was a bit unstable.

Prima locatie. 15 minuten lopen naar centrum was prima. Bed en linnengoed was schoon.

Deur naar badkamer klemde heel erg. Erg kleine wastafel. Badkamer slecht afgewerkt, kieren en gaten en vieze kitranden. Muis op de kamer.

La ubicación. Camas y almohadas cómodas.

Habitación vieja. El suelo levantado, ventana muy dejada. Necesitan hacer mucha reforma. Y aparte un tercer inquilino...un ratón!!.Pedimos un cambio de habitación y nos cambiaron. Para no repetir.

Very close to everything and some great cafes/restaurants near by. It was quite clean and bed was comfortable.

There was a mouse in our room one night. And remember there is no lift/elevator in this property (not uncommon) so be prepared to carry your suitcases up 1-3 flights of stairs - wasn’t much of an issue for us but might be for other people.

The room and stairwell were unfinished .. decorating / refurb still ongoing. Small room. Only one set of stairs at top of building. No other fire exit. No breakfast available. No staff on site at night. Parking very difficult nearby. Expensive .. I guess due the to Fringe Festival

The room was great. The hotel had a great location.

There was no elevator, and we were on the third floor. I am disabled and there wasn't anything in the advertisement about having to climb 3 full flights of stairs.

Good neighborhood; well connected to central area by several buses; several very nice breakfast cafes very close by

Bathroom was very disappointing, not clean, cheap materials -- the sink wasn't even in the bathroom, it was in the room!! Water stains on the ceiling, walls dirty. We also saw mice, but we understand that the manager can't do much about that. The owner could have made a "commercial offer" (un geste commercial) to compensate but did not.

This was in a historic building in a great area,loved the view from the window.

Location, garden view, room size, cleanliness.

We stayed in room 12. There were plumbing issues. Sink in the room was clogged even after getting it fixed. Bathroom was very small. Mattress was sinking and very uncomfortable.

Fire hazard. We were on the top floor of the old building with no alternative way of escape other than the main stairs. We requested another room but none were available. Our experience would have no doubt been better had we been on a lower floor.

Location is great.

We had no interaction with the owners/management. We knew the double room will be small, but it was REALLY tiny and it is definitely not recommended for a long stay. When two suitcases are open, there’s no space left to walk around the bed and the cupboard space is minuscule. The mattress in our room (23) was really uncomfortable. We didn’t had a good night sleep at all. I’m not someone who complains or give negative reviews, but of our 3 week vacation in Europe and the UK, this was unfortunately the worst stay.

A small refrigerator to store food and water in would have been nice.

Nothing at all. The beds were under a staircase, where one could hit ones head on getting out of bed. No arrangement for breakfast. No staff available at the Guesthouse at any time. Cleanliness poor; beds made haphazardly. Used toiletries with broken caps of the bottles. Can provide photographs as evidence/proof of the above.

Everything was poor. Needs drastic overall improvement.

This property is in a great location with a bus stop right out front and restaurants easy walking. The guest house is a great building but seems to be in a transition of parents handing over to son management. Lots of construction project stuff visible , keys that are challenging to get to work, no gathering space for guests inside or out although there is a huge back yard but our view of it from our window was all the construction debris The owner/ father is nice as can be but son not. We arrived 5 pm and our first meeting was the next am. Noone said good morning or introduced themselves as owners when I went looking for someone to ask a few questions. Our shampoo was a half used bottle of head and shoulders, when asked if any other options, son says no, you can go to the store to buy your own . father over heard and provided an alternative. Father the next day was very friendly and identified himself as the owner for 20 years and son is taking over. Furnishings have seen better days, So much potential with this property!!!!

no place to hang your towels by the sink which is in your room, not in the bathroom and no counter for using your toiletries. closet would do better with shelving vs a big empty space. refrigerator w cycling on and off so loudly I got up at night and turned it off. our front door and room key were a challenge to get open. This really is a great location and building that could be so much better

Locations was very nice. A bit of challenge to find.

5 days too long for room size and no breakfast. No fridge or microwave, small fridge would have been nice!

Very good location, very quiet, good communication with owners before we arrived, very good information on the area.

The room number on the message from the owners was different from the one in the slip of paper in the box so we were trying to get into the wrong room at approx 11.30pm and there were quests already in the room! Also, we found our room by a process of elimination on the 3rd floor as there was no number on the door.The room did not look like the pictures shown. Maybe it was just our room.It looked unfinished in places and there was dust on the reading lamps and the hairdryer.. lWhen we closed the shutters some of the mortar had fallen out of the wall. It was difficult to get clothes in and out of the wardrobe if you slept in the outside bed.Also, we left our towels in the shower to be changed after 3 days and they weren't changed. As mentioned above there were positives too.As the weather was very good we were out doing a lot of sightseeing.

The property owners, father and son, were on site daily. They could not have been more helpful or accommodating.

There was nothing we disliked about the property or stay at the Valentine City Center Guesthouse.

The room was very nice, in terms of both size and quietness. We rarely heard noise from other guests. The location was great and also quiet. We were not far from many attractions. Plus, there are bus, train and tram stations nearby.

There was no breakfast.

Great location. Easy to access the room at night! Nice window view, so good for a few nights!

Bathroom was classic uk quite small but not a big problem! I would love more towels
