Location away from the centre

Pool was beautiful and clean and the views from the rooftop terrace were lovely, however there was nothing up there so you had to stand and admire the view - some nice seating would have made it so much better. The bbq was lovely and there was some coals and firelighters left for us to enjoy. The owner was also very accommodating by letting us stay in the villa until 4pm as we had an evening flight home.

There were only 4 sun beds around the pool so it meant all 6 of us could not lie together. The outside dining table seated 6 which was fine for us but no good if there were 8 of you - there were no cushions in the seats so were quite uncomfortable. There was no other patio furniture on any of the balconies. The beds were very basic and not comfortable- pillows and mattresses were stained - this was noticeable as you had to make your own beds upon arrival. The whole villa was equipped with the most basic of furniture with only a bed and wardrobe in one room - no bedside cabinet or mirrors. On arrival you have to give the owner a 1000.00 euros in cash as a security deposit- he did put this on the booking confirmation but to be honest I thought it was a mistake as the most we have ever given has been £150.00 - the last villa we stayed in for 3 weeks in vitors that slept 10 people took no security deposit. I appreciate this next comment is not the owners fault but there is a big building project directly across the road so we were woke up every week Day morning by noisy machinery and building work! We have been visiting ferragudo for the last 10 years and this is the most basic villa we have stayed - even down to the small details like having no books, board games, playing cards etc. It is a real shame as this villa has the potential to be really lovely but unfortunately is lacking in so many areas.
