Having stayed at this property before our impressions are still that it is well presented, clean and just as described. We all enjoy the area for both its quite relaxed atmosphere but still within easy reach of several ares for entertainment and food. Already re-booked for the summer.

Lovely cosy property in idyllic position

Disappointed that there was no welcome pack.A few small points to make. 1. several items of crockery chipped. 2. Toilet brushes were disgusting. 3. Mark on sheet.( Mould ) 4. Lack of soap. Location great, house lovely. Regards. Graham

My family and I had a lovely stay in Mill Cottage with great views of the mill pond and very close to the River Shack where we enjoyed meals and drinks. Stoke Gabriel is an idyllic Devonshire village and a must to go and visit! We had great weather which made the holiday even more enjoyable. Will definitely visit again!

Loved our stay at Mill House and so lucky to have great weather to take advantage of the fantastic waterside location with kayaking, paddle boarding on the doorstep.

We had a” lovely week in Mill House, it’s a very handy place to stay for the Mill pond and estuary , especially if you like paddle boarding or canoeing. House ideal for us as a family with dogs. Great stay.

We had a self catering holiday to visit family. We used the cottage as a launch pad for days out to the beach and walks. We enjoyed walks around the village to the pub, the church and the shack. I would definitely visit again.

The property was well presented and inviting. We enjoyed the relaxing quiet atmosphere and its location enables you to either relax next to Mill Pond or travel further afield to one of the local seaside towns.

We stayed for 4 nights and were very lucky to have the best weather possible for our trips on the river. We have stayed many times here and it feels almost like our own holiday house. It’s the perfect accommodation for us and the perfect location with water views from the house and now the addition of a lovely garden to sit in for meals.

This house is so well equipped and located. The welcome card, Prosecco and fudge were much appreciated. We had a lovely time.

Lovely cottage surprisingly spacious and well laid out with everything you could need for time away from home. Stoke Gabriel is a lovely location with lots of great walks in the door step.

Wonderful stay - couldn’t be better in any way .

The cottage was very comfortable, right on the Mill Pond. We stayed in December during a a cold snap, but it was easy to get the cottage warm.

Great find every thing you need for 6 comftable beds and showers great.Would have liked to have had to try the burner but no need.Fantastic location near to village pubs and great base for exploring local area would stay again any time

The location was brilliant for seeing this part of Devon. The setting was absolutely fantastic, we never tired of the view or the peaceful environment. The accommodation was charming and well equipped. One or two things would have made this holiday home even better. On arrival it would have been helpful to have a small welcome pack containing fresh milk, coffee sachets, tea bags and buns/biscuits, as we have experienced in other holiday lets. We had not expected to have to provide our own toilet paper. I texted the manager about the diminishing supply but received no response, so purchased a pack. When I visited her that evening she said the shortage was because new cleaners were employed and it was their job to ensure an adequate supply. She offered to contact them so they could remedy the situation but we had already done this. It would have been helpful if she had explained this by replying to my text in the morning. She was able to provide us with a fresh bin bag on refuse collection day. In the main bedroom ensuite, the intermittent start up noise of the macerator at irregular intervals during the night when not in use was loud, annoying and disturbing. It would be really helpful to be able to turn this off when not in use. There were only 3 of us in the house. We think 7 would be overcrowded. I hope this is a helpful review for people considering this property.

Everything great but no towels supplied which I thought was strange and a little annoying as the property was well equipped with everything else. It would have been nice to have been given washing up liquid too.

We all enjoyed the peace and quiet and felt fully relaxed after our weeks stay. We enjoyed it so much we are booked in again next year.

absolutely beautfull place to stay

A little gem of a place in the quaintest little welcoming village. Great accommodation. Lots to do in the area. Booking process was easy. Accessing the cottage was easy with very clear instructions. All necessary information about the cottage was available including what to do at the end of the stay. Very thorough and straightforward, clear concise information. We will be back.

This is one of the best rentals properties that we have used. It is very well equipped with easy to use appliances, full instructions and is exactly as described in the web site. It is comfortable, beautifully situated, with a lovely garden. It was our second stay, and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Thank you for a fantastic stay at your cottage. When we arrived we were surprised how big it was and as an extended family the 2 bedroom wings worked really well. The cottage was very clean and we really enjoyed lighting the wood burner after beening out in the grey damp weather. The cottage is very well equipped and even has a games cupboard which we made use of. Thank you for a really lovely stay.

Lovely smooth experience

Large accommodation in a friendly village

As a family of 4 enjoyed the location of the property in Stoke Gabriel. Access to the Dart for paddle boarding, kayaking and crabbing. Need the use of the car to visit the attractions of the area. Steam train to Dartmouth from Paignton. the beach and waterpark at Goodrington... the English Heritage castles nearby and the shops and sights of Totnes. House comfortable, in need of an uplift, bathroom showing significant signs of damp with mould on the walls Mattresses, all bar the main bedroom, would benefit from changing as rather spring. Overall great spot to enjoy this part of Devon
