As above everything else was really good with the cleaning this year very well done to a very high standard.

Everything was great about the property and good communication with the owner/ rental company.
the views from the house are simply superb and enough space for a large group, some places can feel quite small for 10 people this was great.
A reasonable walk into town too so away from the mad hussle and bussle in the evenings.
Would definitely go back.

All the beds upstairs were very uncomfortable , not a very good sleep , the sofas in the living room are also uncomfortable and hard to get off of , could do with a bigger fridge as it is for 10 people , and the oven is not great either

Lovely house with amazing views of the Clyde
Ideal location to enjoy the Dunoon area. Not too far from pier and main town centre, walkable in around 20 minutes. Great for a large family with 5 bedrooms though only two showers - one an en-suite. The kitchen is a good size, and has most things needed. The lounge area is large but the suites are very soft and caused a lot of difficulty for our party to get out of, not really comfy either.
The mattress in our bedroom (left, back) was very lumpy and uncomfortable to sleep in but all the others said theirs were fine.

A family break to celebrate our mother’s 70th birthday
The house was lovely and spacious. Well equipped and good location.
The things that let it down was that every room was covered in cobwebs and the mess of crumbs left in the sofa which we cleared away before the rest of our party arrived. So noticeable they couldn’t have just been overlooked. Disappointing

Perfect place for a perfect vacation
Arriving at Clydeside Villa we were amazed by the stunning views. The property was absolutely perfect and made for a really fun and enjoyable stay. The owners were very friendly and very quick and responsive to any any queries. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone who wants to see the beautiful scenery in Scotland from an outstanding location and accommodation. The hot tub was was great to relax after a long day sightseeing. Thank you Jodie and Allen

Lovely Big House
Our 2nd stay at this house- It’s clean, big, well equipped, has a fabulous hot tub and is ideal for a large family or group of friends. It’s a lovely stroll from Dunoon Town centre along the waterfront and has fabulous views

Pros and cons review
Good location, spacious and hot tub was a bonus.
Felt the standard of cleanliness was not up to standard. Had to clean toilet pan in en-suite before use. Had to remove several estsblished cobwebs from corners of rooms which had spiders in them.
Felt fridge was not adequate size for house that accommodates up to 10 people.
Nice house but could do with a little tlc.
Good price.

Cleaning
Cleaning could improve i.e. curtain rails in bedrooms dust on top, cobwebs at the hot tub could have been cleaned. The fridge in the kitchen needs a real deep clean and also noticed that the sofa in the front lounge had dog hairs from previous occupants under the seat cushions. I feel you have to really deep clean as the cleaner only took say, 3 hours. Toilet rolls are the cheapest of the cheap and could have been left more not enough towels left out -possible have more and they are too small they are not bath towels and have to last duration of stay.!!
Otherwise excellent location and most beautiful house and views were amazing.

5 day stay
Great location. There were 9 of us and plenty of room in the villa for us all. Nice outdoor area to relax and amazing views. We would have liked it if there was more kitchen cook ware to accommodate a group our size. Over all great stay.

Perfect for a family holiday
The house & garden were spacious & easily accomodated our party of 10. I particularly liked the dining room which was bright & sunny & gave us a fantastic view of the Clyde. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Overall a great stay.

Lovely views
Property was lovely, however there were a few safety concerns, eg loose spindals on stair case. Don't think the property is very child friendly. However would be great for an adults only break. Hot tub was great and clean. Provided a great bit of evening downtime.

The property had everything we needed for a really comfortable stay.
We know the Cowal Peninsular well but the house was an added pleasure. Our 3 grandchildren enjoyed being so close to the shore.

Good house in a good location
This is a spacious house in a good location on the outskirts of Dunoon. It is about 20 minutes walk into the centre of town but its location provides fantastic views over the Firth of Clyde. The house has good social space and the hot tub is an added bonus. The rooms are all spacious with a big family bathroom, enormous ensuite bathroom and downstairs toilet. The provision of board games helped pass a lazy afternoon. The sun terrace would be fantastic on a hot sunny day but we still made use of it on a chilly March day and enjoyed the view. We would love to return.

Lovely property with stunning views. House is very well equipped and all rooms are spacious with good quality furnishings. There was plenty crockery, cutlery and equipment. Excellent location
You can't beat the veiw from the front bedroom every morning! Place was clean and tidy, a few minor housekeeping issues that need attention and should be kept ontop of. Overall the house is great for a large family. Hot tub great especially when the weather is bad, great location for shops beach and walks.

Beautiful place
We have stayed here twice now (10 people) and there is ample room for all. Spacious and comfy. Lovely big kitchen too. The hot tub is very nice and if that is not your thing then you can still have conversations through the window or by sitting in the garden. It’s not far from town and a lovely walk along the front. The views are amazing too. Highly recommended

Lovely stay
Hot tub didn't work first night we stayed, so pay for 2 nights only could use it 1 night, windows needed cleaned. But apart from that was lovely stay with a beautiful view.

Had a great weekend at Dunoon. Good value for 10 guests. Would definitely return
A few minor issues. Some utensils and dishes in kitchen were not very clean - had to wash before use. TV didn't work in lounge and hot tub did not heat up until late Saturday. On Saturday while coming downstairs I slipped down several stairs and am now quite badly bruised. I would suggest maybe a bit of a runner on the stairs to avoid any future accidents. Apart from that I would definitely visit again

100% Reccomend
This is a great place for nice chilled out weekend away for a large group. Hosts gave excellent instructions on how to get to the property and where to purchase ferry tickets for a discount. Any issues we had were resolved as soon as possible and easy to communicate with any questions during the visit. Not far from the town centre or morrisons for any shopping/pubs. Well worth the money if looking for a nice breakaway with a hot tub.

Renting was easy, cottage was lovely but not as clean as we expected, we couldn’t use the hot tub much as it seemed dirty

Family get togetbdr
First impression lovely view and great location, great area with lovely walks, really enjoyed watching the ships on the Clyde. The kitchen was poorly equipped with only 4 soup/cereal /pudding bowls, no serving dishes, potato peeler broken, oven/grilll was very dirty, dishwasher has no rise aid in it so didn't clean dishes properly, and I could go on and on., the garden at sometime has been lovely but now over grown with rusty patio furniture, hot tub was good. Bathroom needs a good clean grout dirty, shower cubical covered in black mold, shower head fell off and hit my grand daughter on the head controls difficult to see as broken, 10 people staying in this house and only 4 toilet rolls provided and no hand wash in toilet. Living room rug is disgusting. We had a great family get together but I felt embarrassed that I had booked this house as it was not up to our usual standard.

Outrage
lydeside Villa Outrage
I am struggling to find good things to say on this stay, which is a shame as 9 members of our family had spent a long time trying to find the perfect date and accommodation with a hot tub to suit us all.
We have stayed at similar accommodations which were first class, but sadly this was not one of them.
First thing we noticed, the dishes and cutlery were grubby, we had to wash everything before use.
We then noticed that things around the whole house were far from spotless, the bed appeared to be thrown together, and worse there were electric wires hanging loose and within reach of the children.
Of course no one wanted to make an issue over any of this, because the weekend was meant to be a special occasion for our family, so we cleaned and carried on.
On our first morning the hot tub stopped working, we called and explained, telling him we had checked all the sockets etc. but couldn’t find what was wrong.
His reply was “I can’t get anyone to come and fix it because its Saturday, and no one would be available to fix it until our holiday was over!”
We explained that the hot tub was the main reason we booked this accommodation, and stressed that this was unacceptable, he said he would send someone round.
Someone did come, someone who admitted he had no idea about hot tubs, he left with it still not working.
The remainder of our holiday was spent without the hot tub.
I emailed numerous times when we returned home explaining again that we were very upset about the hot tub not working, he said he would give us a £30 refund! we paid (£633)
I expressed again that the only reason we booked this accommodation was solely because it had a hot tub, his reply was “no one books solely because of a hot tub” and proceeded to insinuate that we had broken it! That was the final insult, we will never book here, or use the Argyll self-catering holidays again. Absolutely outraged.

Perfect home for a family get together
Fantastic place, house is amazing and spotless. Such a spacious well laid out house. Hot tub is a must. As a family we had a great weekend of chilling out watching ships and submarines going up and down the Clyde.
We will be back in the summer when the weather is better.
Only down fall was the master bedroom balcony door didn't seem to seal properly and as the weather was really bad the wind howled through the house but this is not down to the hosts.
