Location is great. Staff is very helpful and friendly. They were able to provide an extra twin bed for our 5 year old daughter. Decent WiFi. TV had Netflix.

The pool was filthy, full of bugs and dirt on the bottom. Not once did I see anyone cleaning it. I know it’s “winter” in Belo Horizonte in July, but you still need to keep your pool clean because for many guests the weather is just fine for swimming. Sauna wasn’t working, the entire week. The gym’s weight machine kept breaking, making it dangerous to use (knobs and springs fell on my head while using two different times). The elliptical machine was junk, as was the stationary bike. Only the treadmill was usable. The bedroom itself was nice but too small, especially the bathroom. I mean it was TINY. The king bed’s sheets were always coming off. I needed to re-tuck them in several times a night. That was annoying. It looked like the hotel was using queen size sheets for a king size bed. The extra space outdoors with the jacuzzi was helpful, as we had lots of luggage after traveling for a month. However, the jacuzzi itself was extremely dirty upon our arrival. Like they forgot to clean it. We asked a housekeeper to clean it for us. She did, but then dumped the dirty water in the rocks beside the tub. Gross. We only used the jacuzzi once as a result. There were swarms of tiny insects by the jacuzzi that found their way indoors. So that was also disgusting. Also, our key card kept malfunctioning, causing us to get it reset at the front desk. The free breakfast was passable. Same food every day, which I don’t mind, but the bread was always stale and crumbly. Scrambled eggs were often runny. Coffee was rather weak. Believe it or not we chose this place at the last second because our original hotel was even worse! We left that place early and chose the Royal Golden.

I left a garmin heart rate strap in my room. After calling a number of times, I was told the cleaning staff didn't find it. The first thing is that not once did the hotel staff offer to call me back, I had to keep phoning them. I am 100% certain I left it in my room. I was either disposed of or someone took it. If they'd returned it I wouldn't have written this review cause I usually don't. The hotel is old and the room I was in had bad light because there is a building in front of the window. The room had two singles when I booked a double. The shower had mold in the box and there must have been scale in the head because the water didn't come out correctly. The gym is rubbish with some old crappy machines and the sauna was out of action. I ate the breakfast once because it all looked a little ropey, preferred to go out and eat. All in all this hotel is bad value for money and there are better options.

the place smells like mold, exposed wires, dirty floor, hair on the bathroom floor, noise, unpolite staff that does not care at all about your complaints and below average breakfast. I would never ever stay again.

Big comfy bed and spacious room. Well located. Quiet.

Breakfast was below expectations. All bread and pastries were hard/stale. Coffee was not good at all. Tasted old. Fruit salad saved the meal.

Nice hotel. No problems with my very late check-in. The staff didn't speak perfect English, but were very helpful and friendly making a strong effort to help with questions. Great wifi - worked remotely for 2 days with no issues. My favorite part was the incredible outdoor pool - great size for swimming laps and had the space all to myself

Had 1 or 2 issues with keycard, and it would be nice if there were an easy way to get a cup of hot water for tea without going downstairs to ask for help.

The hotel is well located in the heart of Savassi. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was nice. The sauna was excellent.

- The price of the room was very different from what was shown on the website of booking.com. In fact, on the website, the price was shown with ALL CHARGES included but when I paid the hotel still charged 15% extra ( 5% VAT and 10% service charges). Such information appears only under the "important details" section in the confirmation email received after completing the booking. I only noticed it when the hotel reception staff pointed it out!!! As the booking was non-refundable, I felt like I was cheated especially since the hotel staff reported this occurred frequently!!! - The depth of the swimming pool is only 110 cm.
