2 Bedroom Luxury Cottage close to Bakewell, in the stunning Peak District
Situé dans un hameau calme, à moins de 300 mètres de la beauté emblématique de Lathkill Dale avec sa rivière cristalline et de belles promenades, et à seulement 300 mètres d'un pub de restauration populaire, ce chalet propose une maison de vacances bien meublée et joliment présentée avec un patio privé et un jardin clos clos pour animaux de compagnie (maximum 2 animaux de compagnie) offrant une vue sur Bakewell et au-delà. Il est situé à seulement 3 km de la ville animée de Bakewell, où il y a un service de bus régulier. De nombreuses belles promenades et pistes cyclables depuis la porte Chatsworth et Haddon Hall sont à 6 km, et les hauteurs d'Abraham à Matlock Bath, le musée du tramway Crich, les grottes de Castleton et de nombreuses autres attractions sont à moins d'une demi-heure de route. Les tours Alton sont à 40 km et le golf est accessible à 3 km. Boutique 2 miles, pub 300 mètres.

We went back to this cottage 3 years after previously visiting, and recalling what a beautiful, quiet village Over Haddon is. We had much better weather than last time, which highlighted a minor drawback - we would have appreciated some cushions for the patio furniture.
Otherwise, another enjoyable stay in the Peak District.

Cottage perfect for 4 adults on long weekend break. There is a large double room and small twin single bed room. The small courtyard is safe and secure for our pets.
The cottage has everything you need and the extra welcome items were very much appreciated

We had a wonderful stay in this cottage. The best of all was its close proximity to world class walking trails - and there was sun shine every day. A lifetime memory will remain.

My stay was not a holiday,it was a quick visit to attend a funeral in a nearby village and the advantage was that we could bring out two border collies and it was great that we could walk the them nearby.

Our stay at Sadie's Croft was memorable. It was a short stay but we thoroughly enjoyed it.
The cottage itself is tastefully refurbished and very cozy. Everything works well in terms of utilities and appliances so it made things very easy. Parking is right behind the cottage so very convenient. The village is pretty and is extremely well located both in terms of access to pretty Bakewell as well as to some excellent walks along the beautiful Lathkill Dale. Anyone who enjoys that combination should give this place serious consideration.
Sally's instructions were excellent and told us everything we needed to know.
By the time we left, we wished we could have stayed longer. We would love to return and stay at the cottage again.

We had a lovely few days in this cosy cottage. Everything is finished to a high standard and thought has gone into extra touches like board games, cosy throws for the sofa, and a wrll equipped kitchen.

Lovely short break in Over Haddon. Cottage had everything we needed and great walks from the village. Tasty pub grub with amazing views at the Lathkil.
One suggestion for improvement - bigger towels please.

This is a lovely cottage with mostly everything you could wish for in a home from home holiday stay. The village is so quiet so we enjoyed relaxing in the very sunny garden listening to the birds. Bakewell is just 2 miles away which is useful for shops, restaurants etc. Beware that all eateries seem to stop serving dinner by 8pm which we were shocked by having travelled from London outskirts where everything is open much later. Plenty of National Trusts around to enjoy as well as Chatsworth House of course which is amazing. The views all around the area are wonderful, field after field after field. Thoroughly recommend the cottage and area

Sadie’s cottage is a wonderfully comfortable, perfectly equipped home from home in a village of spectacular beauty. Our mid winter stay in cold, wet weather was cosy and magical. The village pub serves excellent , good value home cooking but the kitchen of the cottage made self catering a pleasure too. We will certainly be coming back to this welcoming, thoroughly delightful little house. We were sorry to leave it .

Fabulous cottage, very clean and well equipped. Lovely comfortable bed, I didn't wake up once with my normal stiff neck! Great sun traps out the front and back gardens. Stunning location, easy to find walks from the village

Fantastic cottage in idyllic location
In the heart of the Derbyshire countryside in a lovely small village with a pub with the best views ever. Five minutes drive to Bakewell and many options for exploring. Even with mobility problems we saw so much and the Monsal Trail is highly recommended.
There cottage was also great for our dog with an enclosed rear garden catching the sun most of the day. It is a shame we were not allowed to use the adjacent failed to give him a proper run.
We highly recommend this cottage.

Happy in Over Haddon
we both really enjoyed our stay in the very comfortable house (once we had located it). we requested a slight adjustment to the instructions on finding the house, to help others locate immediately. The surrounding countryside is great and the pub is excellent - good food and friendly service.

Thoughtful host, excellent house
We were stuck in Storm Arwen during our stay which meant a village power outage but Sally could not have done more to help us and ensure we had the best time we could.

Perfect location for visiting Bakewell, Chatsworth and the local area. Lovely and cosy cottage with all the necessities. Loved all of the info on local walks, I did the Over Haddon circular walk and it was lovely!
