Wirklich sehr schöne Lage zwischen den Salinen in einer alten Gezeitenmühle mit nur 5 Zimmern. Frühstück à la carte im Haus oder auf der Terrasse möglich und gut, mit Aussicht auf die Salzbecken und mit etwas Glück auch auf die Flamingos. Sehr freundliche, deutsch sprechende Besitzer, die gute Restaurant- und Ausflugtipps gaben. Alles sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Ein besonderer Platz zum Wohlfühlen und absolut ruhig. Das Ortsinnere, der Strand und gute Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar.

Verständigung mit dem Personal teils schwierig, wenn man selbst nur Deutsch und Englisch spricht. Wir hatten leider ein ziemlich kleines Zimmer mit wenig Platz die Koffer abzulegen. Aber ok. Die schöne Dachterrasse ist etwas karg möbliert.

Prachtige ligging tussen de zoutpannen, uitzicht op flamingo’s, op loopafstand van het gezellige centrum met lekkere restaurantjes.

Location along the salt flats- wonderful views and lovely to sit watching all the wading birds. Private parking- although gate isn't obvious on first arrival. Main host was nice over the phone and offering opinions on excursions. Close to supermarket and 5-10mins walk to beach/ferry to island beach. Many restaurants within 5mins walk. Fairly nice facilities inside the room. Also good to include some crockery and cutlery for serving yourself meals, and there's a small fridge in the rooms.

Awkward to gain entry- needed to ring 15mins in advance so the other member of staff could let you in, although the host could open the gate for you remotely. Difficult for those with expensive international phone contracts. The other member of staff that I actually met on site wasn't very friendly- didn't even say hello when she let me in, just walked off towards the door. Gave minimal explanations and looked fairly miserable. I don't think she spoke much english but just generally wasn't friendly. Also, personally I would recommend the property just including free breakfast and coffee in the morning, since it's offered for such a small price, and just slightly increasing the rate for the room to compensate.

Location fabulous - view over the salt flats was breathtaking. Room was lovely - great balcony. Location close to town. Easy to get to Faro on the train. Very good cycle path nearby. Loved seeing flamingos every day

Shame the tapas bar was not open in the evening

Tastefully renovated old mill in a great location. We loved the situation on salt flats and enjoyed looking at the Flamingoes and other wildlife. Our room was well equipped and the staff very friendly.

All the staff was perfect, and everything went well. All was very smooth, and everyone was extremely kind.

Such a wonderful place and a unique situation . To walk through the salt mines in the quiet of the morning and hear the bird song as the flamingos took flight was amazing. The sunset in the evenings, the staff, the atmosphere I can fault nothing. I will return that is for sure!

Location. Right on Ria Fromosa with its own access to the nature park and the salt lagoons full of birds and flamingoes. Just minutes walk away from extraordinary beaches.

Everything! The location is stunning had the most amazing sunrise and sunset from the property. With added bonus of flocks of flamingos. The room was perfect modern, stylish, large, spotlessly clean with thoughtful touches such as wine glasses and a cork screw, tea and coffee facilities. I liked the unusual construction and location of the hotel. It’s much closer to the town than the pictures suggest and is an easy walk to the restaurants etc. The car parking is good and secure. Room is basically just a bedroom with small bathroom. Everything you need for an overnight stay.

Be aware that the rooms are quite small and there is no private patio, plenty of space for outdoor tables and chairs. If it’s hot and sunny that’s fine, but if it rains or is very cold the room may feel a bit gloomy.

The location was superb with great views of the salt pans and the birdlife including spoonbills and flamingos. We liked the comfortable, large bed and the light, airy room. There were excellent walks at hand and yet the supermarket was just a couple of minutes walk away. We reccomend the excellent breakfasts in the restaurant and a sundowner on the roof terrace.

The bamboo ceiling creaked at night and as I'm a light sleeper this kept me awake.And when we used the shower the bathroom got a bit flooded.

Loved the location and the comfort and cleanliness of the room. The view was great and the staff were friendly and helpful.

In my first room, there was a problem with ants. I was offered an upgraded room and everything worked out wonderfully.

Absolutely marvelous place! It's totally worth paying for a room with a sea view (I was doubting at first, but saw the same comment and can second it). We could enjoy the sunrise from the room. The best thing about the place - is how close to nature it is. Watching flamingos in the evening and at sunrise was fantastic. They would give you a key, so you can walk around the area - it's worth staying in this longer to enjoy it. They have very good breakfast options (not included in the price and pay by cash only).

The hotel location is nice surrounding by nature. You can see the flamingo early in the morning. This is the most wonderful. As this hotel is surrounding by lakes/ponds, you can see the black hunter birds too.

However the location is not silent enough. Whenever a train passing by, you can hear the noise from the train though there are some distances. Luckily it's not so frequent. Besides, the humidity is very high.

the setting is beautiful, and it is easy access to every thing in town. The bed is extremely comfortable, even the pillows were perfect little details like a coffee pot in the room, a rain umbrella (which I didn’t need) and even a beach umbrella were provided. the pink flamingos in the pond were an added bonus

Set in a stunning location that is ideal for birdwatchers. Walking around the marshes direct from the site and plenty to see from the room's balcony, be it high or low tide. A great roof terrace too. A comfortable room and friendly staff. Recommended.

Sadly the adjacent restaurant is closed for autumn/winter, but their website made that clear.

We loved the setting looking out on the water. Get a room with a sea view. It's worth it! Very comfortable bed and lovely shower room. It's got a car park so no issues finding a space and a 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants and less than 10 minutes to a lovely beach. Good breakfast at very reasonable cost.
