Nice furniture, good kitchen

There are no doors between the 1st and 2nd floors. In addition, the apartment could be cleaner

We cooked for ourslves in the evening and a few extra bowls and glasses would have been useful. But otherwise fantastic

we had people staying above us and the noise was horrific…there was no one to call to complain … do not stay here under the house

nice and clean room and bathroom downtown is about 10-15 mins walk downhill

there isn’t a proper laundry service, for an extra the landlord will wash your clothes (otherwise there are a lot of laundry service downtown, about 10-15 mins walk)

The lady who manages the properties on site, Estella, is very friendly and welcoming and a pure joy. Nothing is too much trouble and she is always smiling. She keeps the place spotlessly clean and tidy. The property is located in a residential neighbourhood about a 15 minute walk to the centre (steeply uphill coming back). The shower is very good.

We had a ground floor studio which felt a bit dark and dingey and didn’t feel to be a very welcoming environment. The apartment is pretty well worn and could do with some TLC in respect of decor and finishings. Noise insulation from the upstairs apartment is very poor and we heard every movement. This was a particular problem as the upstairs guests liked to come in very late after we were in bed and we had our sleep disrupted every night for the 3 nights we stayed there. We also had a problem with the heating in our unit which was on permanently (in high summer!!). Not only did this make the room very warm but there was a constant gushing noise of hot water in the pipework which went every 30 seconds or so throughout the night. Estella did rectify the problem for us by calling an engineer who turned off our radiators and drained out the water.

Quiet neighborhood. Lovely and warm. Friendly staff. Spacious.

I booked this accommodation specifically because the description said it had a balcony but it didn't. There isn't any soundproofing between rooms so you hear your neighbours. We had a group of 6 with a baby next door.
