Kitchen work surfaced a little cluttered

The host was absolutely incredible. It was my wedding weekend and they'd put signs around the house, and everything was just perfect!

There was plenty to like about the cottage which was charming and comfortable. Well decorated with good quality furniture. Nice touches such as welcome packs for guests and your four legged friends. The garden is enclosed and secure so safe for both pets and children. The small games room is well kitted out with games and a Wii so ideal for young ones (and older ones!) at the end of the day leaving the adults to relax in the lounge. The location was great for doing the landmarks of the Cotswolds and the actual village has some lovely pubs within a few minutes walking distance.

Sadly we found the property needed a thorough cleaning. There was a build up of dust behind the bedside tables, under the beds, radiators and tops of the wardrobes. We found a couple of items that had obviously been missed in the cleaning process. The shower head holders in the two ensuite bathrooms were both broken making it impossible to shower without constantly propping the shower heads up. Also be aware that the dishwasher is only small so whilst great for your mugs etc. it doesn't take larger items such as dinner plates so you'll have to hand wash these. I think this should be made more explicit in the description. Both the cleaning and broken shower holders have been raised with the owner of the property and she has confirmed that these will be sorted so should not be an issue for future guests.

An amazing cottage which had everything we needed, the owner left us a beautiful baked fruit loaf and a bottle of bubbly and some beers which was a lovely touch. Felt at peace the whole weekend with such a cosy, homely atmosphere, did not want to leave! We will definitely be returning soon!

There wasn't anything we didn't like about the stay!

Lovely cottage, particularly liked the little touches - dog treats, beer and Prosecco and home made cake. Lovely little village and handy for visiting other areas

Pillows were a bit hard but wasn’t a big problem.
