The venue itself is rather kitschy. So when you have to work its better to go to the ground floor bar rather then staying in the room. (You are overwhelmed with all of fale paintings and intense colours). Morover on my room there was no actual place to work...

Pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Exquisite decoration. The location is great. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The room was large and comfortable.

The breakfast was a great let down. For example, there were fried eggs and omelettes, which were prepared and left on trays, so by the time one arrived they were already cold and relatively inedible. The rest of the stuff on offer was not particularly enticing. The bread was good, while there were also a variety of jams, and honey. Generally though nothing to write home about. In addition the first morning, I requested an expresso, which was brought to me. The next day, they said that no espresso was on offer.

Although staff was pleasant, the advice given was not always correct while communication was not easy. In addition, my room had not been cleaned by lunch time the next day, despite the fact that I had not left a "do not disturb" sign. I was told, I should have left the "make my room" sign! In a 4-star hotel one would expect that rooms are cleaned daily without having to ask for it. I also had a pair of trousers that needed cleaning and was told that the trousers would be available the next day only to be told the next day that this would not be the case. Luckily I retrieved the trousers without cleaning but at last they had not been sent somewhere where they could not be retrieved before my departure. The café shop in the hotel did not offer any food, not even sandwiches. In addition to everything else, to add insult to injury, I paid about 30% more by having booked through Booking.com instead of with the hotel directly.
