We enjoyed our stay at The Camp, as always. We have been there a number of times and have never been disappointed. Always clean and well stocked. Claire was so helpful and caring, Hope to return in the fall so that my husband can catch fish off the pier and I can sit out on that awesome dock!

We loved staying here! Great location on the lake. Communication with our host was awesome!! Perfect little spot for our family of 4 and still had enough room for when our extended family came for a visit over the weekend.

We always have a good time when we stay here. Most definitely will stay again, everything you need is right down the street in the way of restaurants, grocery stores or shopping.

Nice quiet getaway for hubby & me. Windy days but a fabulous pier for us to relax and enjoy beautiful False River. The owners were so nice and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Loved the fresh eggs provided! Thanks! Be back!!

Booked for employees to do a job near this location. I did not stay but they guys had no complaints to me. They enjoyed being on the river.

The house was really clean and confortable . Claire is the best, she will help you with what ever problem you have, she will response any time. Best experience

Me and two other guys worked a project at Riverbend Nuclear Station for few weeks. This place made a great place to come home to even though the False River was being drained down. Fishing off of the dock was still very productive. Had everything a few working guys needed. The only drawback to our stay was it was the middle of sugar cane harvest and trucks....big trucks running by every few minutes 24 hours a day. Property managers made it still a great experience. Great place for family and friends to gather. Not a "fancy place", just a nice fishing camp with everything you need. Kitchen was well stocked and the air conditioner keep the Louisiana heat at bay. The pier was awesome!! Very convenient to stores and restaurants. We had a great time and plan to visit again soon!

I've stayed in rough camps before with the guys so not going to bash it, but this place was not for the lady and kids. Priced lower than others, but not worth it to feel unsafe and unclean.

We had a great time. Everything was as described and as expected. We caught some nice catfish right off the dock. We loved our stay and the owners were great communicators.

We enjoyed our stay here. The hosts were great communicating with us and it was greatly appreciated. We were able to walk right to the dock and catch fish there, even though the river had just flooded.

It’s a quaint little camp amongst all kinds of fancy. We had everything we needed. Owners were incredibly friendly and attentive to anything we had questions about. Excellent fishing. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

the pier was nice, however the house which is a glorified put together trailer that was awful. I knew this would be a camp of some sort, and it was not going to be top notch for the price that was advertised, but what was listed on the site of what I was charge was no way close. The owner she said that I came at prime time. Weather it was prime time or not, the site should have clarified that, which it did not, and if it was prime time the price on the site should have been adjusted.. For the price that I was charged, I could have stayed in another place much nicer . I had a budget that I had to stay in because of my employment and my wife out of work, however I got screwed. The owner tried to justify the charge, but like I said this is what you would call a "Bait and Switch." I do not know who is at fault with this but I will NEVER EVER use this site again to book something. I felt this was very unethical. I was going to leave a review on the site, but did not, decided to let it go, but since you have reached out to me, why not I will give you my feelings. In fact it has been 10 years since my wife and I had time to get away. We were both excited just to get away for a long weekend, however we managed to stay Friday night, refusing to sleep in any of the bedrooms. We brought our own sheets and towel. We covered the sofa with our sheet and the chair. She slept on the sofa and I slept in the chair. Saturday morning we packed the car back up, went to the pier and fished for awhile then drove back home to Baton Rouge. We were home before 1:00........Never again

Overall fantastic weekend at the Fishing Camp....CAMP. That's what this property is, a Camp. The property is clean, well organized and perfectly set up for a weekend with friends and family. Do not go into this reservation with expectation of The Ritz-Carlton, it's a camp...clearly listed as such. The property is kept clean, accommodating and quick to New Roads. The Dock is perfect for a quick swim, and we caught as many catfish and bream as you wanted. We needed a slightly earlier check in than listed, and the owners were more than happy to accommodate us, and asked if they could help out in any way. My family and I will be return customers over the next few summers! Thanks for a great weekend!!

It’s an older camp with everything we could have needed; everyone including my dogs enjoyed being there. The view was amazing ! The camp warm and cozy. Very relaxing ! Enjoyed my stay wish we could have stayed longer

This camp is ok, but a little worse than i expected. The pictures do not depict the place as well as it should. My husband and father in law thought it was fine, but there was no way I could stay there :( it was as clean as it could be, just not what i am used to sleeping in, and there was no way i wanted to use the bathroom... sorry ... i had to drive to the hilton in baton rouge for the night. This place is more like camping or "roughing it" to me.
