Beautiful home in a beautiful setting. We had such a wonderful week in this stunning home. The owners have thought of everything and all we did was relax, enjoy the lake, the views, the fireplace, the paddle boards, the beautifully situated kitchen and hot tub! We never even turned on the TV! Great home for our family vacation.

My husband, four kids, in-laws and I all stayed at this Squam Lake property to celebrate my FIL’s 80th birthday. Low-key relaxation is what we were looking for and boy did it deliver. We spent our days fishing from the dock, canoeing, kayaking, lounging in the hammock and hot tub. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. The house is thoughtfully stocked. Hosts are beyond amazing and you couldn’t ask for a better location. It’s quiet and peaceful but close enough to the madness of Winnipesaukee if that’s your speed. Overall, highly recommend a stay at this property.

I took my team to this lovely home in NH for our twice-yearly in-person staff retreat. It was the perfect place for us to do some hard work — and to have some time to enjoy just being, both by ourselves and together. The layout of the kitchen / great room / dining space was particularly conducive to spending time working together. We really enjoyed our time and hope to go back.

This property is absolutely beautiful! Very close to Meredith and lots of restaurants. The home was very neat and organized. everything so very easy to find. The kids my husband and I really enjoyed this stay and will be back to get the summer feel for the home aswell!

We wanted a special house to show off Squam Lake’s natural beauty and this was IT! Very dramatic setting. Peaceful, quiet. Loons. Eagles. Squirrels and chipmunks. The grounds are lovely. Kitchen has top of the line appliances. The house is clean, beds are comfortable and location couldn’t be better. Our last evening was spent talking around the fireplace with the rain falling gently outside. Gorgeous!

So nice, we’ve rented twice! We had a terrific return visit to this home. Still beautiful! Our extended family visited with 5 adults and 4 kids - age 4 to 75. We canoed, kayaked, fished, cooked s’mores at the fire pit, hot tubbed, ping ponged, did a big puzzle… Very comfortable home with activities to use. Kids especially love the bunk room. We made excellent memories here. Soft sheets, ample towels, good WiFi, great host. Hope to return again soon!

My wife and I spent a wonderful weekend at this beautiful lakeside home. The home is stunning and yet fits in seamlessly in the natural surrounding by the lake. It is stocked with everything you need, and the hosts were helpful when we needed assistance .

The house was precisely as described, and exceeded every expectation. We were very happy there testing and cooking and enjoying all the water sports and toys available for our use. We rented a speedboat which was great fun and docked it right there. It would be difficult to improve upon the experience.

The house was beautiful and the view of the lake was breathtaking. David and Sharon were the perfect hosts. The house had everything we needed for a wonderful and relaxing vacation.

We absolutely loved our stay. The property has everything you need including an amazing view of the lake. The house is modern and just stunning to look at. The WIFI worked well which let me work and my family enjoyed the nearby towns of Meredith and Laconia to explore. The hot tub was a huge fit and the hosts were extremely helpful at answering our questions. We can’t wait to visit during the warm weather!

Wow! It’s hard to describe just how perfect our time was here. Sharon and David (owners) have created a perfect oasis for relaxing and enjoying your surroundings. The house is absolutely gorgeous and with all the glass you feel like you are fully in nature at every turn. The location of the property is perfect! Remote and quiet yet close to Center Harbor and Holderness center. They had everything you need to enjoy your stay and we loved listening to music with a fire going after having enjoyed the hot tub while staring at the lake. The kitchen is a chefs dream. I could go on an on but let’s just say it was the perfect week because we were in the perfect place!

We enjoyed this home with three generations—it was lovely. The owners were very responsive to a few minor issues. Be sure to look into either renting your own boat or hiring one out for a tour of the lake—so much beauty and history!

When Covid hit, we felt that our family needed something to look forward to, particularly for our three children. Our oldest had his senior year of college cut short and we soon realized that our youngest would most likely not experience her senior year of high school in person. After losing two beloved family members to Covid, we were determined to bring some light back into our lives and decided a lake vacation would be perfect during such uncertain times. Knowing how particular I am about vacation rentals, I was thrilled when my husband discovered Sharon & David's stunning home on VRBO! The house is beautifully designed with modern architecture, incredibly clean and the lake views were simply breathtaking. Other than clothing, food, personal toiletries and beach towels, everything is provided for you. The kitchen is a culinary dream and there is plenty of space to gather together or enjoy some alone time. Everyone found the beds quite comfortable and there were plenty of fans provided for each room. We so enjoyed swimming out to the dock, (particularly for sunset swims which are remarkable) paddle boarding, kayaking and also rented a boat for the week from Riverside Marina. The kids had a blast tubing & wakeboarding and loved playing ping pong in the basement! We also enjoyed cooking s'mores over the fire pit and ended each day with a soak in the hot tub. There were plenty of restaurants and coffee shops that we frequented (The Mug, Mellow Moose & 48 Main Cafe were our favorites) and there is a Hannaford Supermarket nearby. We have traveled quite extensively with our children (ages 22, 20 & 18) and they all agreed, hands down that this was their favorite family vacation! It was so nice to be off the grid and after such a heartbreaking year, it warmed our hearts to see the kids and a few of their friends having good old fashioned fun, getting a taste of what life was like for us growing up. Thank you Sharon & David for being such gracious hosts! We hope to make this a family tradition for many years to come.

This home is like a Mary Oliver poem meets Tom Kundig design. Beautiful natural surroundings and a beautifully designed home. I found myself admiring both the view afforded from the house as well as the house itself. We had a wonderful stay. This is hands down the best house we’ve ever rented. My kids loved the water toys on the lake as well as the games in the basement. We spent most days playing on the water or sitting on the porches enjoying the view. My favorite spot was a small porch just above the water line that provided a view of the lake and mountains to the north. The Rose’s were attentive hosts and have thought through pretty much every detail to make your stay easy and comfortable. The house is very clean and well taken care of. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The perfect setting, mid-century home, beautiful views of lake, direct access, great amenities, great furniture, super clean and very nice hosts.

The property was very well suited for our group, with kayaks, a paddle board, and a canoe all available for use, along with the beautiful outdoor fire pit. The basement has the only television in the house, with a ping pong table for indoor entertainment. You truly do not have to worry about bringing any supplies, other than personal toiletries and food - the house has ample linens, bedding, towels, etc. and stuff like trash bags, typical kitchen supplies, etc. The process regarding closeout (such as laundry and trash) was very easy and straightforward, as well. Would recommend highly. Thanks for having us Sharon and David.

Beautifully designed, quiet and well-appointed home with all the comforts, amenities and toys needed for a perfect getaway. So happy with the contactless check-in and check-out system but also the periodic and immediate attention of our hosts David and Sharon checking in on how we were doing. Perfect place to reconnect w family and with the outdoors. Was so sad to be leaving. Thank you David and Sharon for lending us your home for such a memorable vacation and allowing us to extend a few days more. Will definitely be back.

This was a well appointed vacationers’ dream. There was everything for outdoor fun like sup paddle boards, canoes, tree swing, zip line and jacuzzi to name a few. The indoors offered a very well outfitted kitchen (as we all love to cook that was important), sound system, media room and ping pong indoors. The windows framed beautiful vignettes of the surrounding woods. Just spectacular!

My family and I loved this home - it was absolutely wonderful! The hosts were amazing. We've never rented a home for vacation - we go the traditional hotel route, so we were a little nervous about the experience because we didn't know what to expect. It was a homerun! The views of the lake were magnificent, both morning and evening. The kitchen was humongous - it had more than what you would need to prepare meals (it even had the ingredients!) and is great for dining in. Entertaining two little children (5 & 7 year olds) was also easy - the ping pong table, the swings (indoor and outdoor), the trampoline, the movie-theater like setting in the basement with the curtain pulled, the nearby hiking trail, and just playing outside were just some of the things that kept them having so much fun! The town was nearby so no issues with getting groceries if you choose to cook. Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short because of personal reasons. Our lovely hosts, Sharon and David, were extremely understanding and worked with us. They are truly great and very responsive. We hope to visit again soon!
