We had a fantastic time at the villa. Maria was communicative throughout the booking process. The villa itself was amazing. Large and clean, it was a place enjoyed by all of us. The bedrooms are spacious and air conditioned. The pool had glorious views . Being able to walk to shops and a bakery was a real bonus. We loved it and woulsnt hesitate to come again. Thank you, Maria!

The villa is beautiful and well looked after, everything you could need is inside it has secure parking and a large garden that was great for the children playing and exploring also a great size swimming pool that we all enjoyed. On one side you have ocean views and Mt Etna on the other side. The local village has good shops and also large supermarkets within a short drive. Maria and her family made us feel very welcome and gave us all the help and information we needed, we had a great time here and would definitely recommend this villa. A wonderful place to stay.

The villa is beautiful, very stylish with bags of character and lovely interior design features. There is lots of living space for relaxing, eating and playing games - and all the bedrooms are a good size.
Outside, the grounds are beautifully maintained and there is a lovely turquoise pool with fabulous views of Mount Etna on one side and out towards the sea on the other. There was also a lovely outside eating area with BBQ, where we ate most of our meals.
The villa is located in a small quiet village about 15 minutes from the coast, and is a great base for day trips to Taormina, Syraceuse and Mount Etna.
There is a bakery and a small supermarket in the village and a big supermarket a short drive away where you can get everything you need.
This was the perfect place for a relaxing holiday and Maria was a wonderful host – great communication before we arrived and throughout our visit, including recommendations for restaurants - a big thank you to her.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa for a family holiday - it is a truly fabulous accommodation!

This is a perfect home for large groups…spacious kitchen and living areas, pool, and plenty of bedrooms. The outdoor dining area has lots of seating and lovely views of the sea and Mt Etna.
Our hosts were very gracious and responsive, and checked in periodically to see if we had everything we needed and were enjoying the home.
I definitely recommend this as a place to stay🌞

Maria was a wonderful host and her villa was outstanding. Spacious, plush and well facilitated. We were a group of 9 friends who really enjoyed swimmimg in the glorious pool, bbqs, and shopping at the nearby bakery and supermarkets. The views of Mt Etna and the sea are wonderful. Would love to return. Highly recommended.

Lovely village of Linera within walking distance, views of Etna and the Ocean, within driving distance to Taormina, Catania, Mt Etna and more. The villa has so many cool features, we used the outdoor bbq and the pool, really enjoyed our stay and Maria the host was very responsive and helpful.

The villa is enormous with tons of space for our extended family to be together but also have our own space.
There are 3 bedrooms next to the gigantic double living area on the ground floor (1 double with a sofa bed and ensuite) and 2 twin (one of them has an ensuite). Upstairs there are 3 double bedrooms (1 en suite) along with a kitchenette and another bathroom. These rooms have balconies and one has a large terrace, which has an amazing view right across from the sea to Etna. The kitchen has a dining area for 8 so we mostly ate here, rather than the long dining table in the living area. The bedrooms have aircon, not needed by most of us in April but my elderly mother appreciated a bit of heating in her room in the evenings and we lit the log fire too. The house feels cool, which I am sure is great in the summer heat.
The pretty (and large) garden has fantastic views in both directions (Etna and the sea), with a covered dining area as well as a surround patio round the house. Bring your ping pong balls for a game!
We visited at the beginning April and the superb weather meant that we were able to enjoy the pool too (not heated but very pleasant if you enjoy a refreshing swim).
The house is accessed by 2 electronic gates, be careful when you are turning out of the outside gate onto the road as there is limited visibility. We walked down to the village for bread and pizza, be aware that there is no pavement.
Highly recommended place to stay!

The house is big! Perfect for a larger family. The Property has amazing views and is quiet and comes fully stocked with everything you need. The little town is close and had what we were looking for. We even arranged for Gloria (off Maria's recommendation) to come up one evening and teach us how to make a dinner - it was Fabulous!
The only issue we had was the down stairs showers ran hot and cold. Which was not an issue for most of us we just went to use the upstairs showers but for my 70 year old mother who could not climb the stairs it was a bit if a sticking point.

Hanging out by the pool by day and using the grill by night has been a relaxing and beautiful experience. There is a really good bakery availably on foot and the location is nicely secluded. The villa is huge and clean, a paradise.

Great house, perfect pool!
It was a pleasure to stay in this big house with our friends. A lot of space, very well furnished, a nice garden and big trees for perfect shade. The pool is really big, perfect for kids to play.
Last but lot least, the owner has been really nice! Warm welcome and available to answer our questions.
I highly recommend!

This is an exceptional villa, very large and comfortable, with generous reception rooms and lots of lovely indoor and outdoor spaces to lounge in. The pool is larger than usual and a gorgeous place to swim. There is a wonderful curtained outside dining area, again with masses of space for everyone. Amazing views of Etna and the sea. The local village is good for most shopping with an excellent bakery. The best beach is at Fondachello. Acireale is a beautiful place for a meal and a wander round some wonderful churches and squares.

Fantastic location, sea on one side, Etna on the other. We were a party of 5 couples lots of space to either sit round the pool in the sun or sit in the shade. Very well equipped, Maria couldn't do enough for us and was especially concerned when the weather was bad and Etna decided to wake up!! Gloria cooked for us all one evening which was very enjoyable. Good supermarket pizzeria and bakery in walking distance, Good to use as a base, highly recommended.

From the moment you arrive at this lovely villa in Linera, you feel at home and know the house as your own.
Arrived on Saturday evening and was welcomed by our host Maria who gave us a quick tour of the house and garden. Maria had even made sure there was water, coffee, wine, biscuits and chips available when we arrived (thanks for that Maria)
From the house there is a beautiful view over the countryside with the sea to the east and Etna to the west.
The house has everything you need and since we were only 5 adults, there was plenty of space, bedrooms and bathroom for everyone, huge living rooms and a nice big kitchen equipped with most things.
From early morning to late evening we were in the garden and enjoyed the covered terrace and the 12.5 meter long pool with lovely cool clean water for a week where every day we had 30-35 degree heat and sun from a cloudless sky.
The town is not big, but it has a baker, grocer with butcher and a number of pizza restaurants (it is Italy after all).
By car you can get around a lot and since the house is well located for many good trips on the east coast, we were both on the Etna expedition, wine tasting, the sea and city walks.
A fantastically lovely holiday that we won't soon forget. Highly recommend this villa and location in Sicily, but especially the perfect host Maria.

This villa is absolutely stunning with everything you could possibly need, Maria is the perfect host
We chose to do something very special for our holiday as we were celebrating my mother's 70th birthday, and this villa did not disappoint. We were 4 adults and 2 children of 11 and 7 years, and we were spoilt for space. The place is huge!
We arrived quite late on a Saturday night and Maria our host was there to meet us. We didn't drive as we're not confident driving abroad, and Maria was kind enough to organise a transfer for us which made the arrival very slick. The local supermarket is closed on Sundays and Maria was extremely thoughtful and had bought various things for us so we wouldn't go hungry, as well as a special bottle of wine and beautiful lemons picked from the property itself! Such a lovely personal touch that was really appreciated.
Locally there is a small supermarket, bakery, butcher, fruit and vegetables, a souvenir shop and pizza restaurant about 10 mins walk away. Very handy! If you don't drive it can get quite pricey to get around to visit different areas and excursions but that was the choice we made. If you drive, it's easier. We managed to get to Taormina, Gardini Naxos, Isla Bella, Catania and of course Etna. There's plenty of parking and you're secure and away from the main road behind 2 electric gates and up a driveway.
The pool and the garden... so special. Even though we were out and about we spent time in the pool which is absolutely stunning and perfect for the 32 degree heat we had. The view... wow! Our highlight of our holiday was the view. It's a sea view on one side of the garden right out to the Taormina coastline and in the other is the beautiful pièce de résistance, Mount Etna herself. During the day she was gently smoking away, then at night we were treated to amazing bright orange lava flows!!! Every night!!! We couldn't believe our luck. Really topped off an amazing holiday in an extra special villa with a perfect attentive host. Thank you so much Maria!

We spent a wonderful week in a beautiful villa and garden at the foot of Etna. The villa is spacious and well equipped; perfectly suited for a larger group. The landlady has from the very first contact been extremely helpful and informative and we give our best recommendations.

May half term break
Stayed at the villa as a family with 2 children and 2 friends. We had everything we needed at the villa and plenty of space outside for our children to play. Maria even brought them a surprise castle slide! Bakery and pizzeria just a short walk away down into the village and a small supermarket. Great location to explore the sights of Sicily . Bbq was great outside lots of space to eat down in the garden and covered area. Only thing we needed was better weather but we still managed to use the pool, which was a great size for us all. Maria was a great host and checked up on us during our stay via what’s app and offered to help with a dentist when a member of our party had an abscess. We hope to visit again

A spacious villa with beautiful grounds between Mt. Etna and the Ionian Sea.
This beautiful villa is built around the stunning ancient wine press which takes up the back of the house, incorporating the gym area. We were five adults and the two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms were great, our bedroom being huge with a daybed, desk and armchair. The third bedroom was small with two single beds but without an ensuite. In fact, there was not a third bathroom at all, although the villa description states 3 bathrooms and a separate wc. There was a separate wc which was next to the utility room on the far side of the villa.Unfortunately, this was quite a trek at night, negotiating the steps from the living room. We specifically searched for a place with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The description needs looking at as it is misleading. After saying that we were so pleased with our choice for the two weeks. The living room with 3 separate seating areas was fantastic, reading, tv and computers all separate. The pool and the outside dining area were a real treat. The rustic kitchen had all the amenities you needed with a spacious fridge and full sized dishwasher. We did not know what to expect of Sicily but you could have been anywhere once the automatic gates closed behind you. It was like a different world. We visited most of the resorts and attractions along the east coast of Sicily and it was ideal being close to the coast and only a few minutes from the autostrada. We would thoroughly recommend the villa and Maria to everybody

Super Villa - Amazing Pool!
We just returned from 2 weeks at this glorious villa. It was perfect for our chill-out holiday, with ample space for the 4 of us. A fully equipped kitchen, free wifi, SkyTV and a pool that was the star of the show. It was huge! We spent most of the time in it as it was so hot. It was clean and surprisingly warm, even though it was not heated.
There were supermarkets nearby for all your food (cheap Prosecco!). We ventured out to the Etnaland water park, which was worth a visit (just remember your flip-flops because the ground is hot!)
All in all a wonderful family break at a brilliant villa! Many thanks to Maria (host) and her son for all their valuable information on the area.

Amazing house, beautiful pool
Absolutely beautiful house right beneath Mt Etna, perfect for our family of six! Lovely local restaurants, great pizza. We spent all our time by the amazing pool, it is massive with plenty of sun chairs. The house has a lovely rustic feel and all the facilities we could have wanted. Maria was very helpful, and had fruit and wine waiting for us on arrival.

Rustic villa with large pool and garden
Maria, the owner, was very helpful from the time i booked and throughout our stay. There was huge bowl of cherries and bottle of wine to greet us as well as some other provisions.
The villa is very spacious and well equipped, but a little bit "tired". (This was possibly more noticeable to us as we were very unlucky with weather and spent more time inside house than expected!)
It is in a convenient location for trips out and local shops within walking distance - just be careful of the busy road and Sicilian drivers as few pavements! The house is approached through an electric gate and set back from road so there is no traffic noise.
The garden is large too although hedges near house and paths a little overgrown.
Maria is very responsive - there was an unexpected and unpredictable problem on our last day and Maria got people round to fix it in a very fast time - impressive!

Beautiful villa and amazing host
The villa itself and the grounds are beautiful. Behind closed gates you are secluded and safe under the gaze of Mount Etna on one side and the see and a view of Italy to the other. Maria is an unbelievable host who made sure everything we needed we had. She even bought us a stair gate as we have a two year old. Maria is responsive, friendly and extremely helpful and everything we asked for she made sure we were 100% happy. A privilege to stay in such a beautiful and classic home, thank you so much Maria x

A wonderful family home with great character, lots of quirkiness and a welcoming ambience.
We arrived on a Sunday and had chosen not to hire a car, Maria had organised a taxi from the airport which was great as we would not have found the property easily. We had not realised that the local shops aren’t open on a Sunday but Maria very kindly drove me to a supermarket so that we were stocked up! Maria was easy to get in touch with and also helped us to organise taxis to Mt Etna and other sightseeing.
We have two daughters nine and twelve who adored the pool, the chess table, and the “Disney channel! The local butcher was superb, the supermarket was really well equipped, excellent bakery, the pharmacy was also really useful and all within walking distance. The washing machine was also really handy. The photos on the web page really do not do the house justice, it is in an amazing location and the views of the coast and Mt Etna are truly awesome!

Beautiful house and garden with fabulous views
We had a week at the beginning of October and the weather was awful for 4 days with torrential rain. Fortunately the house is so large and well appointed that we were still able to have a good time. But when the sun came out it was perfect!

Do it! You will not regret this!
Beautiful grounds, house totally sufficient for your wants with an Italian flavour. We were two ancient creatures (70+), three in their 30's and two untamed monsters 5 and 2 years of age. Everyone was satisfied. Pictures do not really do it justice. Maria, the owner, is warm and helpful- impossible not to like her. The pool is something you could live in, could not feel any chlorine at all. The house is a soup of contrasts, 3 bedrooms large-medium- and small. All fine. Kitchen has all the cooking utensils you could want, table is a bit unsteady due to different levels but there is a great one outdoors and another elegant setting by the old wine press. Plenty of sofas, the largest one has cushions that tend to slide but could also be seen as a challenge. Linera pizzeria worthy of your patronage, 6 Euros for a normal size pizza. Cheap! The local bakery down the hill you could spend hours in and there is a fair sized grocery store less than a 100 meters away from there. So, without further ado, our highest recommendations! Jack, Nini, Kristoffer, Andrea, Gabriella, Edgar and Henning.

An excellent property in a great location for exploring the East Coast and Mount Etna.
We've just a had a brilliant stay at this property with our 2 children (aged 9 and 6).
This is a Lovely property with plenty of space both inside and out. It is well appointed and very comfortable with ample equipment for self catering / dishwasher / washing machine. It was well maintained and clean, with a cleaner coming in twice a week. The pool is nice and large, and there is lots of room for relaxing either in the sun or shade with views over the coast or Mount Etna. The table tennis table and basketball hoop were an added bonus.
The local town has a small supermarket, and we also used the local shops for bread, fruit and veg etc. It is well situated to get into a range of small towns, the major tourist sites along the coast, and for exploring Mount Etna.
The owner, Maria, was really helpful. She met us at the property and had kindly helped to get us some provisions in for our arrival. She was also contactable by text for any queries, and sent us details of local festivals etc that we might like to visit.
Overall an excellent property that we wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Lovely house with amazing views
We had a fantastic holiday. The directions Maria provided to the house were simple to follow and made for a stress free arrival. Maria was on hand to meet us at the house and gave us lots of useful information along with a huge bowl of fresh cherries and a bottle of local wine which was much appreciated. The house was very homely and well equipped the gardens and pool were the perfect place to relax in and as the weather was so good it was very tempting to stay at the house by the pool. Etna and Taormina are nearby and an easy drive. There is a handy supermarket and lovely bakery within walking distance. We all had a great holiday and will be returning to Sicily again.

Beautiful villa - we are dreaming of when we can go back
We stayed at the villa for a week in June. The house is so much more than expected. Very spacious and beautifully decorated. The pool was a total hit and the outdoor area is fantastic. Everything in the house is thought out. Maria was extremely kind and helpful and we would HIGHLY recommend staying at her place. We will hopefully return again.

A spacious villa, full of character but not sat nav friendly.
This is a great villa for visitors wanting something more traditionally Sicilian but with the home comforts of wifi etc (although there is no air-con). We liked it but found it quite cold (in spite of central heating - although we had no access to settings) and tricky to navigate. It's in a village long since absorbed into the suburbs of Catania but still surrounded by fruit groves and wild terraces. I would recommend the place for a family holiday but be prepared to do a lot of driving, Italian style.
5.0
Beautiful spacious and comfortable villa surrounded by lovely gardens. Highly recommended!
We chose this villa because of its location on the lower slopes of Mount Etna within easy reach of the main Catania to Messina highway and the key east coast sites such as Syracuse and Taormina. We visited all of these - Syracuse is highly recommended - and also made several trips to the closest town Acireale (10 minutes away) which is lovely and quite unspoilt by tourism.
We also enjoyed both swimming and dining in some of the extremely attractive local fishing ports along the riviera de Cyclops.
The villa itself is very much a family home, and has clearly been furnished and kitted out by people who have loved living there. The gardens are secluded and very pretty, and there are vantage points for every time of day. Breakfast al fresco with Etna smoking gently in the background was a particular treat. So was relaxing by the pool. Because of this it was tempting to stay put despite all the attractions around.
We loved our stay and will certainly consider returning!
