Location was great, near centre, near good restaurants (the local Indian restaurant, the Taj Palace was a surprising delight, given we only went there as it was close and we arrived late). The property owner was super nice, and communicated clearly via whatsapp at every stage, which made check in, check out and any questions super easy. We really enjoyed ourselves.
The benefit of the location also came with some train noise. We didn't mind, but some people may find this difficult. We think the trains started at about 6.30am and finished at midnight. They are not frequent and certainly would not put us off staying there again.

Alexandra is the greatest host, she made sure everything about our stay was perfect. The accommodations are spotless, everything you need included and walking distance to everything including the trains.

The apartment was beautiful, with good ventilation and plenty of space. The kitchen was well-equipped. The decor was simple and tasteful. Very big fridge. Easy access with keys and close to the centre of town.

The only thing people need to consider is the steps leading to the Main Street are quite rough, so if you suffer from mobility issues you should be careful. But that’s more or an accessibility issue than something I didn’t like, it didn’t affect my stay at all.

Loved the location! The apartment had everything that we needed. Very clean and just enough personal touches.

The apartment was great! Close to town and all the activities. It was very spacious and had all the amenities. I would highly recommend!
There are quite a few steps to get to the building. If you have a lot of luggage or mobility issues the owner will meet you, which was nice.

Wonderful stay and very communicative host. Spacious rooms, nice balcony. Helpful having a washer and dryer, and a cozy fire in the fireplace (wood was provided). Easy walk to the train, central Sintra and Quinta da Regaleira.

I really liked the stay in this apartment. The place has a nice relaxing feeling and it's really well furnished. Plenty of crockery and kitchen utensils. And most importantly, a wood-burning fireplace. Which will keep you warm in inclement weather.

Extremely well equipped house. Very large with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Location great. Hosts communicated well and gave codes well ahead of arrival time. Liked laundry facilities in house. Comfortable lounge and dining room. Fire place available- although no paper or kindling to start it.
Very confusing/difficult to find. Not clear numbers in the street. Extremely narrow street to get to the property which we discovered was up the far end which was not obvious. Extremely difficult to turn around after dropping bags off.
Some stairs to get to the unit but not a major issue.
Parking was not available out the front so instructions for other options should have been made available before arrival.

physical lodging/lodging was exceptional, well stocked, and extremely clean
Private parking was very limited and extremely stressful due to minimal space to maneuver. Anything more than a subcompact car will have difficulty to park and drive a very narrow alley to the main road. The public parking involves negotiating steep streets and stairs.

The apartment is quite lovely, very spacious and has everything you need. If you don't have or need a car i would say it's perfect. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms a fireplace and a great balcony overlooking Sintra. It is near restaurants, with a breakfast restaurant right at the bottom of the steps and a great Indian restaurant and bar right around the corner. It's in a great location easily walkable to a lot of things.
What I would note is the parking. Booking says this has parking, when you filter out results and I would say do not bet on that parking at all. We only had parking for one night really. Not to mention the parking is not easy to access. You have to drive down a one way small alley to get to the small lot and if there is not a spot, due to the large rock wall, it is very hard to turn around. We had to back out of the alley more than once, which the alley leads to a pretty busy street. It was not fun. The parking lot provided as a back up is not really that close for walking and because of the size of the lot, it's not super easy to just drop off bags and then go park. If you don't have a car none of this matters but if you do, I just would please take note and prepare.
Also, you do have to take a lot steps up or down, outside, to get to the apartment or leave. They are a bit uneven and old so If you are traveling with an elderly person or disabled please notate that as well.
If I could make a suggestion it would be to move the full/queen bed to the master bedroom with the ensuite, and the twins to the smaller room.

Our host was incredibly communicative and helpful leading up to and during our stay. The apartment had absolutely everything we could need and it was such a treat to be able to wash (and DRY!) our clothes in the middle of our trip. The place was clean, we could easily get in with keys or a code and there was even a lovely fireplace with wood ready to make a fire.
There weren't any negatives to our stay - everything was perfect!

this location is perfect to see Sintra and the amazing area around such as Cascais and the Estoril coast etc. The apartment had everything we needed and was very clean and tidy, the hosts are lovely and very very helpful. We had wonderful meals at the restraurants they suggested.
my husband is very very tall and so the main bed being a usual double was not really big enough, however we do have this problem in many places we stay and we ourselves have an Emporer bed at home!

The apartment was very close to the train station, roomy enough for our group of six adults, and within easy walking distance of historic Sintra.

The location is great - the bus station for the palaces is near, as is the train station from where we took the trip to Lisbon. The owner, Alexandra was AMAZING - she answered all our questions and more and was really helpful. We forgot some things in the apartment and she contacted us right away to let us know and we came back for them. Thank you again, Alexandra!!!

The location was great if you want to explore Sintra or even Lisbon. Every interesting points are in walking distance or near is bus and train station. Apartment is well equipped, clean and spacious. Alexandra is ready to help you anytime with anything you would like to know and have. Private parking place is not big but it is. On the other hand near by is free public parking place so there is no issue.
Time to time you can hear a train, nothing terrible but it is.

Clean and comfortable apartments in an excellent location for walking into Sintra. Great bakery downstairs!
Parking directly outside the apartment can be tricky. There is an excellent (and free) car park just around the corner that the host can direct you to. We didn't overly struggle to park to unload or load baggage. You do hear the trains on occasion.

Everything was great. The appartment is very big. Not only the 3 rooms, but a nice dinning room, balcony and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped.You've got everything you could need to cook or bake for the whole family.
Location of Sintra 23 is also ideal when booking the tour bus. Amazing beaches in Azenhas de Mar, and 25 min away from Cascais, Estoril and Lisbon. If you like hiking, history and nature, Sintra is your place.
Do not trust google maps if your idea is to visit any of Sintra's spots of interest driving your own car. Have to book the tour bus. Many roads are open only to authorised vehicles and you will only realize at the end of it, in the middle of nowhere, far away from your destination and no parking spots, so only option left is to come back from where you came.
