I stayed 4 nights and everything went smoothly. Javier is a great host who also gave me tips on where to eat and what to visit. Very good price/quality ratio.

I needed a place to stay for one night as I traveled from Cordoba to Faro to Lisbon. The owner was nice and helpful. The room was small, but adequate. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small, but adequate. I arrived between three and four, took a nap, went to eat, came back, slept the night, and left between seven and eight in the morning.

It wasn't close to city center.

Place was extremely clean and host was friendly and very helpful. Would highly reccomend.

When I booked this place I was expecting of a hotel/hostel or even a cozy B&B, but instead it felt more like a paid Couchsurfing experience in a really clean flat. This is a 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment and the host lives here. Although Javier is very kind and helpful, he also texted me one night at midnight because I left the hall light on. He asked me to please turn off the lights when I’m not using them and said me that he’s had to turn them off “several times”. No one purposely leaves lights on, and considering I’m paying over $100 to stay here, this text from a host felt a bit petty and unnecessary. The listing says “fully equipped kitchen” and includes “coffee maker” as a facility. Yes, there is a coffee maker, but there are no filters or coffee or any of the usual cooking staples (oil, spices, etc) that AirBNB usually has, and when I asked if there was coffee, Javier seemed surprised at my question. It’s not a great expense, but when traveling it is a hassle to purchase coffee (and filters!) to use in a coffee maker. Pros: Very clean, lots of information for things to do in and around Huelva, towels included, good shower, AC in bedroom.

Room for improvement: Faster internet, mirror in bedroom and/or full-length mirror somewhere, more transparency on what this place is (it’s not a guesthouse but rather a room in his apartment), more privacy/less intrusion from host, bigger bed (I’m 5’7” and had to sleep at an angle to prevent my feet from hitting the footboard), coffee, tea, & cooking staples provided.

Xavier, the Host was super friendly and welcoming. Moreover, the room was very comfortable. Xavier gave me a lot of good advice about the city. And it was possible to cook.
