Beautiful pool, stunning house in lovely neighbourhood. Restaurants within walking distance. Hermanus is a gorgeous town with lots of facilities. Beach and great walks along coastal pathway just around the corner. Highly recommended and we will definitely visit again.

a Delightful stay overall

A fabulous property in a magnificent area. Humanus is a beautiful village/town with fabulous restaurants. ,The coastal walk is spectacular . The beaches are marvellous although the sea can be challenging on times to bathe in. All round fantastic.

The place was lovely, felt like a home that has had a lot of thought put into it. Very well stocked. There were some issue with the kitchen plumbing and electricals, but communication with the owner and her friend proved to be easy. Very comfortable beds and having a beautiful proper wood braai place was fantastic. The kids enjoyed the pool area too and the toys and books. Thank you Marie and Sue!

Great place

We stayed at the house for 4 days. The house is beautiful, inside and out. It had everything we needed to cook and be comfortable. They gave as an excellent bottle of wine upon our arrival and made is feel super welcome. We were greeted by the owner’s mother, who was very friendly and explained everything to us. The place also had a lot of toys for our 4&6 year old sons, which made the stay enjoyable for all. The house is walking distance to one of the nicest beaches in Hermanus and has great ocean and mountain views. We’ll definitely be back.

Hermanus is wonderful in many ways! Whilst this house is very well appointed, perfectly clean and in a lovely area do not expect to have all things working when you arrive. After a very long day of travel there was no hot water for a bath or shower until we worked out how to turn on the geezers and wait until next day for the water to be heated. During this trip I intended to work during some part of each day and required wifi access – I was assured prior to booking that this would be available. This was not the case as the provided technologies were either broken, did not have any data on board or work with IT bought outside South Africa. After trying, without success, for 3 days with the local Vodacom shop and ZAR300 donation from the owner, we gave up. Goodness knows what my phone bill will be later this month! Incidentally the TV did not work either as the DVTS had not been renewed. Beautiful place but very frustrating (and costly).This accommodation would benefit from a small folder with information about the property and how items can be used/switched on etc.
