Location & views are hard to beat! Well set-up with everything you need, comfortable beds, and did I mention the view?!

fantastic location, immaculately clean, well equipped and Comfortable. Bed is very comfortable, nice to have washing machine, love the balcony overlooking the lake. easy check in, convenient to everything…ferry, train station walkable, small grocery store, fancy grocery store with fresh meats just off the main piazza. Many restaurants and bars very close by. these are all reasons why we have returned to this property for many years.

seems to me a small amount of maintenance on the rear garden where you enter would enhance the property.

Needs chair or something else to sit on in living room. Shower fills up, slow to drain.

Very untidy apartments. I am not sure anyone cleaned anything after earlier guests, except changing the towels. I hope that it has been changed... :) Shower has been definitely not cleaned (even a used empty bottles of shampoo have been left) and clogged: the same moment you start water you are already standing in the puddle up to your feets. The floor and carpet have been covered in crummbles. I can not say it definitely... But after a night spent there me both with husband had a lot of bites all other the body. I hope it was some kind of mosquito outside. But I am not sure...

From the moment we met with the property representative to the time we checked out, everything was taken care of. We had to figure out a couple of things on our own, but we consider ourselves lucky to find this property with stunning views morning, noon and night. Bonus feature: Easy, beautiful walk to ferry boats.

We can think of any improvements.

loved the view of the lake from the property and how close it is to town. We loved that the host was so responsive via WhatsApp for check in and any issues during our stay

there was mold in the lower part of the shower, and shower drains very slowly.

- Unbelievable location, the view from the balcony was just insane. - Nearby to the main attractions, restaurants and facilities in Varenna - Responsive and helpful host before and during our stay. - Apartment was large, clean and had useful facilities

- The A/C units weren't the best and didn't always work...but luckily the apartment stayed fairly cool despite the heat

The view is stunning, and the property is well-positioned in Varenna. Very basic but is a self-equipped with facilities.

The cleanliness was very poor. Specifically, the sheets and bedding were dirty with old blood stains, male and female hair, and crumbs. Upon notification, the owners provide new sheets but did not change them. I needed to do it. It was disgusting, unhygienic, and inappropriate to expect me to change someone else's dirty sheets. I also waited a long time for them to arrive with the new sheets, which was during dinner time, and they just left them outside, with no offer to change them. This was time wasted during my short stay. By the the I went out for food, the nicer restaurant's kitchens were shut, and I had to wait for 30mins to get a table, not eating until after 10pm. After travelling 5 hours to get to Varenna earlier that day, it was VERY disappointing and this whole experience runined my stay. The property is also very hot. What there is air-con, it is only in two of the rooms. The property was HOT and uncomfortable. In general it was very basic and bare. Which would have been fine, but the lack of cleanliness and ineffective air-con made me not want to stay there. Further, whilst there are adequate cooking facilities, there are no shops easily accessible to purchase provisions.

Great location, comfortable stay

The view from the balcony is tremendous, and the property is well located along a quaint cobblestone pathway with restaurants. For the price, this was a pleasant surprise.

The kitchen was crawling with ants from the moment we arrived. There was an open bag of sugar in the cabinets that had ants streaming in and out, so we tossed this out outside and tried to kill the ants the best we could. Later, the ants were swarming the garbage can, which forced us to also move that outside. Later, despite removing these two items, ants were still coming in and out of the apartment through a vent low on the wall. In the bathroom, the shower drain was so clogged with hair that the bottom of the shower would fill up with water after just a few moments (with the water not even running at full pressure) and spill out, flooding the bathroom floor.

balcony was tiny, but we managed to squeeze 4 chairs out to enjoy the sunset!

Great location, close to all the restaurants and bars, as well as the ferry and the train station. The unit had an awesome view from the small balcony.

Kind of an odd layout for the rooms. Living room could use more furniture (only one small couch).

LOCATION: Amazing view! Central location, 7-8 min walk to ferry, 2 minute walk to the main restaurant square.---- KITCHEN: Decent kitchen with a tiny fridge. ---- BEDROOM: Great AC! The mattress was fine (did not try out the pullout couch), the sheets were cheap but acceptable. ---- OTHER: The washing machine works great, and there is ample space to hang things to dry.

ARRIVAL: This property is very poorly managed, and we had much trouble getting access to the apartment. We informed the host of our estimated arrival time and flight, and once we obtained an Italian SIM card we tried calling, texting and emailing her that we were an hour away. We never heard back and had to wait outside the place for her to finally call back and give us instructions to the lockbox. ---- BED: The two pillows were not very substantial. We found an extra pillow, but it had blood stains all over it and no pillow-case. Two pillows for each sleeper would be great, as well as no blood.----- BATHROOM: The shower is a joke; It doesn't drain and makes a bit of a mess. There is no trashcan... which makes it tempting to flush feminine products (instead of walking to the kitchen trash with your used feminine product) :-P. There are also no hooks to hang your towels on. The gallon sized "all in one" bath product is awkward to use, and smells bad.---- OTHER: Broken wine glass. No safe box. Flimsy balcony furniture.

Lovely apartment with great balcony and views over the lake. Perfect location - central and close to the train station and ferry. Bedroom was quiet at night and bed was very comfortable although it would have been useful to have bedside lamps rather than just a very bright overhead light. Kitchen was well equipped but it would have been great to have some tea or coffee provided. The air conditioning was also old, noisy and not very effective.

Location was great, fantastic view, good heating system.

Something wrong with the septic system as the toilet smelt really bad. Footing in bedroom was lifting and couldn’t shut bedroom door. Extension lead for washing machine was faulty, was trying to get us to fix it over the phone. Eventually came to site and replaced lead. Shutters on door didn’t work, skirting coming away from the wall, couldn’t open dishwasher and chunk of door was broken off, toilet seat broken. On the surface everything looked great.
