Tropical storm Debbie changed our plans but we had a beautiful area in which to watch the rain. The owners kept us informed of the storm and checked on us. Everyone we met in Oak Island was friendly. We traveled to Southport as well. We are hoping to come back in better weather and explore the ocean. Are only compliant is someone was smoking in the pool area.

This is a lovely little spot! It is just a few miles down the road from the Oak Island Lighthouse, and within 15 minutes of historic Southport. There are plenty of great eating spots close by, and, again, Southport has some wonderful cuisine as well. We greatly enjoyed our time here as well as Oak Island. The decor of the property is well maintained and clean. The tech is up-to-date, with streaming capable TVs. All in all this property is definitely worth a stay! 😀

From the minute we walked through the door we could see the ocean waves rolling in and to the left was a beautiful kitchen which has view of the ocean as well. Walk in ocean front living area and main bedroom
With patio doors to balcony. Everything was clean ,neat and decorated nicely . I spent a lot of time sitting on a shaded balcony enjoying the ocean .

My husband and I stayed here for a quick getaway with our 3 month old son for his first beach trip! Perfect location right on the beach and less than a mile walk to the pier and restaurants. Stuart and Brandon were excellent hosts and very responsive!

We wanted to explore Oak Island , St James, and Southport and your condo was the perfect base for our stay. Everything in the condo was spotless, and functional. We spent our days exploring and enjoyed sitting on the balcony listening to the ocean every night, then turning in to your very comfortable bed. There was more storage than we needed , even if we had stayed for a week or more. Showers were also a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately we had useable but not great weather so we got to walk the beach and sit for a time at the pool, but didn’t get the beach time we were hoping for. Everything you set up for us was very helpful. We did not use the TVs and didn’t get past the setup page on the TV menus.To be honest we didn’t try very hard as we had little real interest in TV and much preferred looking at the ocean from the balcony. Thanks for a great experience.

Very small condo with an amazing location. The beach is literally in your backyard with very easy access. The place was clean and comfortable. My only complaint was the towel situation. I'm a big girl with a lot of hair and those tiny towels didn't cut it. Luckily I had an extra beach towel I could use. Also, more washcloths would be nice. 1 per person for a 3 night stay won't work. Next time I'd bring my own towels and washcloths. Don't hesitate to book this place!

We had an amazing three month stay here (Jan. - Mar. 2024). The condo is right on top of the beach and the views were spectacular, especially in the afternoon when the sun hit the water at just the right angle. Hard to describe - you have to see it!
The condo was perfectly maintained and communication with the hosts was excellent. A few minor issues were promptly resolved. The location is excellent: short drives to many restaurants on Oak Island and Southport an easy 10 minute drive away.
Highly recommend Bright & Beachy (or Toes in the Water as it is also known).

This place is absolutely perfect if you want to get to a beach quick, see the beach from a balcony, or just listen to the waves from the confort of your VRBO! It is well furnished and spacious with comfortable beds, pillows and extra blankets. The washer/dryer is a plus! The kitchen had everything needed to eat in and relax. Check in was easy, response was quick, and checkout clearly written and easy to complete. We will check here 1st when we return to check on availability! We loved everything about this place!

My daughter and I spent a wonderful weekend together on this surf side condo…..clean, well-tended interior. Our second floor balcony overlooked a nice pool withe the dunes and beach in the background. Fifteen-twenty minute

This place is spot-on in the description of the property. Balcony overlooks pool with great ocean view. Owners contacted us on arrival day. Very clean and well-maintained. Accommodated four adults nicely. Would definitely stay here again!

We've always loved staying in this complex. While this was not the cleanest property we stayed in we enjoyed our visit as always. Communication was definitely lacking. 48+ hours to respond to our message after reaching out about extremely noisy new upstairs owners. That's our largest complaint. Very difficult to sleep because of that. A few cleanliness issues but some of those are unavoidable being a beach condo. So we expected those. Check-in was simple. Pictures were accurate. Enjoyed our morning view sitting on the porch right out of the master bedroom. Kitchen had everything we needed and was nicely updated.

Easy entry and comfortable condo with well equiped kitchen and easy to use Roku TV in living area. Wonderful wide beach, perfect for our grandson's skim boarding. Waves were large enough for boogie boarding and ocean surprisingly warm for early June. Storage shed was very helpful. We also biked the beach every day. The lighthouse climb was very interesting. Beds were quite comfortable. The pool which is right beneath the balcony was quite noisy but closed at 8 each night so not very bothersome. We hope to come back another summer.

The owners have made Toes in the Water a perfect place to vacation. They have provided all you could need and have decorated with some really fun nautical and beachy touches. The decks overlook the community pool, but the view of the dunes and ocean are unimpeded. Hated to leave…

The condo was just as described. The unit was very clean and and the kitchen had everything I needed, including appliances that are top notch. Always nice to feel like you upgrade a bit from your own place! The view is spectacular and even when it was slightly raining, we could still enjoy it from inside. There is a direct path to the beach that is very close to the unit, so enjoyed many walks along the beach with easy access. I did have some trouble finding the exact unit within the complex, but I called the owner and they picked up right away and directed me. Of course, my friends found it no problem! Great experience, and have this one bookmarked as a favorite!

This was the second here we stayed and although the pool was broken the whole time we were there Brandon and Stuart were very apologietic and did all they could to communicate with us what was going on. The location is perfect for families with small children- it’s a 3 minute walk to the beach literally with kids and all the beach gear. Easy to go up and down with kids needing things. 10min walk on the beach to the pier. We’ll be booking a third year this year!
