Veuillez noter que la seule façon dont nous pouvons accueillir nos clients est d'avoir toutes les réservations commençant et se terminant un samedi.
Tout ce que nous, encore relativement nouveaux propriétaires, avons cherché à faire depuis que notre propriété est de créer la retraite idéale pour 2 personnes: nous avons acheté la maison en mars 2014. Nous savons par expérience en tant que demandeurs de vacances que 4 ans peuvent être longs à l'usure de toute maison de vacances. Nous avons séjourné dans des destinations où les photos ont évidemment été prises plusieurs années avant les semaines de nos vacances.
Depuis l'achat, nous sommes revenus chaque année en vacances et pour mettre à jour divers aspects du chalet afin d'offrir, espérons-le, un sanctuaire offrant un confort et une tranquillité totaux à nos futurs clients.

Nous ne sommes pas au chalet ou à proximité pendant vos vacances. Nous sommes sûrs que vous serez heureux de le savoir!
Donc, être prêt pour vous doit être notre priorité dans ce que nous faisons pendant nos séjours ainsi que d'avoir Luciana à proximité pour tous vos besoins immédiats.
Nous nous concentrons sur les jardins et les jardins autant qu'à l'intérieur de la maison et essayons de garder nos photos à jour afin que ce que vous voyez soit ce que vous obtenez!
EXTÉRIEUR: Le jardin de style méditerranéen est sur trois niveaux et nous avons donc essayé de nous assurer qu'il y ait des occasions de se détendre sur chacun. Nous avons cherché à fournir de nombreux fauteuils et fauteuils rembourrés confortables sur les 3 niveaux du jardin au bord de la rivière. Nous avons également fourni une plancha au niveau supérieur du jardin pour tous les repas en plein air.
La piscine était considérée par nous comme une disposition importante pour les clients et nous avons donc décidé de construire une toute nouvelle plate-forme en pierre et d'installer une toute nouvelle piscine lors de notre séjour en avril / mai 2017.
Le plus important pour nous est le fait que nous avons notre propre accès privé à la rivière et au canoë, que nous avons achetés auprès d'une entreprise de kayak locale, KAYAK VERT, ainsi que les gilets de sauvetage nécessaires pour la sécurité de nos clients. En octobre 2018, nous avons fait un travail sur la descente vers le canoë pour faciliter l'entrée un peu pour nous tous !!
Le siège en métal, près des marches menant à la rivière, permet une vue sur la rivière tandis que les fauteuils inclinables vous permettent de longues périodes de détente au soleil avec des vues en amont. Nous laissons des jumelles pour vous tous, mais si vous êtes un vrai observateur, vous pouvez également apporter les vôtres.
Les énormes cyprès au niveau supérieur garantissent qu'il y a toujours de l'ombre pour s'asseoir même les jours les plus chauds.
Nous pensions, dès le départ, que tous les clients passeraient une grande partie de leur temps au bord de la piscine et cuisineraient en plein air sur la plancha au niveau supérieur du jardin ... et cela s'est avéré être le cas!
Nouveau pour la saison 2018:
Après avoir installé une nouvelle piscine, nous avons acheté un robot nettoyeur pour la nouvelle piscine afin de s'assurer qu'elle est nettoyée chaque jour pendant vos vacances sans vous déranger. Avoir une piscine signifie que, selon la loi, nous devons avoir installé un système d'alarme pour cette piscine. Nous avons mis à jour l'alarme et embauché un homme de piscine pour gérer les deux nouveaux systèmes pour nous. En mai 2019, nous avons ajouté une `` étape supérieure '' aux marches descendantes dans la piscine pour que tout le monde se sente plus en sécurité en entrant dans l'eau.
Nous espérons que tout le monde pourra profiter de la fraîcheur offerte par le canot sur la rivière et la nouvelle piscine pendant ces journées chaudes.
Nous avons mis à jour le système d'arrosage en mai 2018 pour nous assurer que les plantes de notre jardin ont une chance, du mieux que nous pouvons.
Nous avons également renouvelé l'éclairage du jardin pour nous assurer que s'asseoir dehors quand il fait encore très chaud et accueillant soit souhaitable même dans l'obscurité!
MISES À JOUR INTÉRIEURES DEPUIS LES ACHATS EN 2014.
À l'intérieur de la maison, nous avons, encore une fois, fait tout notre possible pour offrir confort et chaleur dans un environnement enviable. Chaque année, nous avons essayé d'apporter une amélioration majeure. Nous avons installé une nouvelle salle de bain. Cela a encore été repeint en mai 2018. Nous avons par la suite installé une toute nouvelle cuisine et totalement mis à jour et décoré la chambre d'amis. (Voir photos récentes).
Plutôt que pour nous, essayez d'énumérer tous les changements, il serait préférable pour vous de voir les photos mises à jour et de lire les commentaires de nos clients au cours des 5 dernières années.
Nous avons maintenant eu nos 6 premières années d'accueil, le septième ensemble réserve ses vacances 2020 en ce moment. Nous tenons à remercier chacun et chacun de nos anciens invités pour leurs paroles d'encouragement NON JUSTE CEUX QUI ONT ÉCRIT DE BELLES RÉVISIONS POUR LA PAGE WEB, mais aussi tous les invités qui ont laissé des commentaires tout aussi appréciés dans le LIVRE DES VISITEURS et envoyé des textes directement à nous.
Nous avons appris que les clients de retour qui ont réservé leurs 2e, 3e ou plus vacances directement avec nous ne sont plus autorisés à envoyer des commentaires sur leurs vacances. Home Away a appris que certains propriétaires ont abusé du système et donc seuls les clients qui ont réservé directement avec eux pourront écrire des avis et nous évaluer sur leur système 5 étoiles!
Encore une fois, nous sommes désolés que la mauvaise utilisation de ces critiques de la part de quelques-uns nous ait tous touchés .... Cette année 2019, nous n'avons que 3 invités qui seront certainement autorisés à écrire des avis car tous nos autres clients sont des clients de retour, qui , nous sommes heureux de dire, ont tellement apprécié leurs vacances qu'ils souhaitent revenir et nous faire suffisamment confiance pour réserver directement avec nous. MAIS ils peuvent toujours écrire sur leurs vacances dans notre LIVRE DE VISITEURS laissé au chalet. The property is in a delightful spot next to the river. The trees outside provide excellent shade when needed. The property is well kitted out for everything you need and the air conditioning in the bedroom is really appreciated. A lovely place to unwind and relax.

Combining the best parts of a stay in a boutique hotel with staying in someone’s beautiful house. The cottage has been beautifully decorated with love, care and attention and it’s obvious that the owners spend some of their time here each year - this makes it feel homely for guests. Communication from the owners from booking to arrival and even a check in message during the stay was all excellent. The housekeeper was wonderful, she met us at the start of the stay to show us round and hand over keys and returned to collect the keys at the end of the stay. Very welcoming. The location is stunning looking out over the river, with a kayak to take out on the river if you wish. The garden is elevated from the river and planting has been thoughtfully added to provide river views from some parts of the garden and privacy from others. There are four properties on this section of the river, but you would hardly know anyone else was there and the garden is very private. This is a jewel of a property and comes highly recommended. We will definitely be back in the future!

We had a wonderful stay in this unique cottage.
We were able to make full use of the days in nature. Kayaking on the river, a small wine festival in the village, a nice exchange with the landlords and the lady who introduced us to the house.
We are already looking forward to the next opportunity to return to this wonderful oasis. Thank you Graham & Mary!

We had a wonderful stay at Mary and Graham's beautiful cottage. The house and surroundings are idyllic with everything you could need at hand for a restful and stress-free stay. We ventured out for a few day trips but the cottage was so wonderful we were very happy to spend time relaxing and enjoying it! Luciana the house-keeper was so helpful and friendly and Graham and Mary were the perfect hosts and made sure we had everything we needed both before, during and after our stay. A massive thank you to Mary and Graham for sharing their stunning home with us for a week, pure bliss!

A very restful and peaceful week for our 5th wedding anniversary. Graham & Mary have made so much effort to make this beautiful cottage so welcoming. Their exquisite taste in every single detail is just lovely. Words really cannot paint the picture of how beautiful the whole house was decorated, and the garden is divine with beautiful views of the river below. The kitchen is well stocked, lovely towels in the bathroom, tastefully chosen linen in the bedroom, plus so many lovely artefacts dotted around. The monsoon shower is fantastic and what a bath! Cooking outside is a must, on the brilliant Plancha in the garden. We are sold on the idea and will be buying one when we get home! Our welcome by Luciana was so nice and she provided us champagne for our anniversary and bottles of wine which we thoroughly enjoyed during the week!! Fred, the Gardner also popped in, and he was lovely and really helpful too!! Lovely places to visit nearby, but quite frankly, who would want to leave this place as it is spectacular!! A relax in the Sun in various spots all around the garden, a dip in the pool and maybe some lunch on the various tables dotted around the garden, then enjoy the canoe and paddle down the river. Everything is on your doorstep and you really do not need to go anywhere else. Our suggestion would be to stock up for a week or two with lots of good food and wine and your holiday will be the most relaxing holiday you could ever imagine in this region of France!! We had a wonderful stay! This beautiful house is spacious, clean and well-equipped. The garden is a real gem with its river view and lots of places to eat, sunbathe or just sit and relax. The location is a great balance between seclusion and peace with easy access to nearby the nearby towns and villages. The owners' love for the house is obvious, but they really want you to feel at home and provide plenty of helpful info about the local area. Luciana couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. Hugely recommended.

No air conditioning makes it unbearably hot in the summer months. Temperature inside sits at over 30 degrees Celsius. No mosquito nets so if the doors are left open at night, the mosquitos invade. There is no security to the doors or windows (like metal mesh screens) so it is unsafe to leave the doors or windows open overnight. With doors shut the place becomes an oven.
TV did not work during our stay. Could not even watch Netflix.
Property overlooking river but access to river and canoe is dangerous. You need to descend on a naturally occurring slope to get to the two narrow steps above the river. No platform / jetty.
The plunge pool is permanently full of pine needles. The cleaning robot makes little difference. Access may be difficult for older people. If you have the slightest mobility issue this property is not for you.
Nicely decorated throughout.
Settee below standard seat height (only 13") so even average height people would sit with their knees up. Saggy too.
Bed - not standard length, would not fit a taller person. The mattress is very comfortable and so are the pillows.
Bedsheets - very nicely ironed and of good quality.
Towels - good quality but only hand, face and bathroom towels provided. No pool towels provided.
Kitchen - well appointed, good and spacious fridge freezer but no frying pan and no coffee machine, just a coffee plunger.
The outdoor furniture shows its age but it is charming and of good quality.
The house is not quite as isolated as you are made to believe. There are neighbours on either side and the bamboo fence provides little privacy.
There is an outdoor hot plate (plancha)which is slow and not as versatile as a BBQ but will provide an alternative to cooking indoors in unbearable heat.
Car is a must. There is no shopping / no restaurants in the vicinity.

When planning our trip, we have of course looked closely at the photos and also the consistently excellent reviews of previous vacationers. Our expectations were accordingly high! When we entered the property and the house for the first time, our expectations were even exceeded! The pictures can not reflect the entire beauty of the house and the property!
We were very warmly welcomed by Luciana, to whom we already had nice and uncomplicated contact during our trip. Also the contact with the owners Mary and Graham was very friendly and uncomplicated from the beginning!
The garden is beautiful and well maintained. It offered us sunny and shady places at any time. We often spent the day, for example, in the deck chairs under the two large trees overlooking the river. How relaxing!!! In between, it was fantastic to cool off in the pool, which was really super refreshing all week, which we had really hoped for. Looking out over the river from the pool was a particular highlight for us. In the evenings there were several other options to sit in the garden and end the day, if you like also with a very nice lighting of the garden.
When we felt like it, we took a nice tour with the canoe, exploring the different facets of the riverbank, which is really worth it!
The house is a dream! It is beautifully located, in the middle of nature. Everything is very tastefully decorated, every little thing seems to have been chosen with love, from the furniture to the dishes to the decoration. The kitchen is also very well equipped!
If you are looking for a wonderful place to relax with absolute privacy, you will find paradise here!

Stunning!
Having holidayed in France since the early 1990s, our immediate reaction when seeing this house was wow! As our stay continued we really appreciated all the care and attention to detail that had been given to every item in the house - everything had been thought about. The garden areas, with a choice of sitting locations, was excellent with flowers and shrubs to admire - complete with an automatic watering system. The pool and riverside view completes a house which just keeps giving and giving. There are so many areas to visit especially the Sunday morning market at Calvisson - this is not to be missed - Uzes, Pont du Gard, Sommieres, Arles and many more. Luciana (the housekeeper) is an absolute treasure and a font of knowledge - another asset to providing you with a wonderful holiday. This is a holiday home not to be missed!

A French Gem.
This property at Aubais (Nr Nimes) is an absolute gem.
The property itself is well maintained and furnished, with excellent facilities provided by the owners - English satellite TV, Wi fi, bluetooth etc.
The location by the river is idyllic, with facilities for kayaking provided.
The location is peaceful and rural, but with easy access to all the local sights - Nimes, Pont de Gard, Montpellier etc., and within 3/4 hours of Nimes airport.
The local agent (Luciano), is very knowledgeable and helpful in all matters relating to the property, and the local area.
We had a great holiday at this property, and would recommend it to anyone wishing to visit the Languedoc area of France.

The property is well maintained and everything is very lovingly designed. All things are in an english style. The kitchen is also very nice. We did not miss anything. There is plenty of shade, but also a sunny spot in the garden. The tour with the canoe was very funny and we have fun. In the evening you can play comfortably at the table and listen to wonderful CDs. In Aubais there is a bakery and a restaurant. In the vicinity of several shops and market on different days. You can do many things from here. Mary and Graham have a folder ready with all the important things. Everything is easy to use. We felt more than comfortable. We have visited Pont du Gard, Sommeriere, Aigus Mortes, the beach from Petit la Travers and La Grand Travers, Nimes and we have done a hikingtrip on our last day to the Pic Saint Lup. We ate in the restaurant Le Tabliere at our last evening. It was a surprise. Thank you for staying there Mary and Graham

Lovely retreat with much to visit.
Excellently presented cottage located down a quiet road. Overlooking the river with access to the two person canoe - fabulous. Walks abound and if you want bustle, Montpellier and the coast are a short drive away as are a host of Roman remains including the Pont du Gard. We spent a lot of time in Sommieres, a lovely small French town which is a five miles’ drive. All in all, a lovely holiday.

Best Best Holiday Ever!
‘Especially for Two’ is the perfect description for Riverside Cottage and following our stay here in 2017 we described it in our review as our ‘Best Holiday Ever’. Well Graham and Mary, we are pleased to say that you and your team in Aubais, (Luciana, who keeps the house spotlessly clean, Fred the Pool man, who keeps the pool sparkling and clear and Marcella who keeps the gardens green and lush) have exceeded our expectations to provide us with the ‘Best Best Holiday Ever!
All we can add for anyone looking looking for a holiday here (who has not stayed before) is that the HomeAway description is 100% accurate and the number of previous visitors who have given it 5 stars just speaks for itself. The local area will also provide you with everything needed for a perfect holiday - lazy rivers, gourmet restaurants, sleepy villages, sandy beaches and markets selling delicious peaches!

Character cottage in peaceful location
Mary and Graham have done a fantastic job in providing first class accommodation "especially for two". We had a fantastic holiday as the cottage is furnished to such a high standard in a French style. The space works really well with the lounge diner and the well equipped kitchen, the contemporary bathroom with wet room style shower and wonderful bath and the comfy bedroom. There is a wealth of wildlife in and around the relaxing garden. We watched a red squirrel scamper up a nearby tree, a real treat from our grey variety here. Sit on the bench by the river and contemplate the view in the early morning, a calming experience, and a chance to while away a few minutes. We enjoyed eating out at night at the table facing the river, watching the night draw in. Mary and Graham have placed appropriate seating around the garden to enjoy the scenery and the space especially the slow flowing river. The area is wonderful with lots of pretty villages to visit including Sommieres which became our local town as supermarket there. We enjoyed the beaches towards Grand Travers and L'Espiguette. Luciana is very helpful and came partway through our stay to change the bedding and brought yet another bottle of red. In fact Mary and Graham have really thought about the needs of their guests and we felt very much at home and didn't want to return home, but we will be back again next year. Five star accommodation in a wonderful location
If you are looking for somewhere to unwind and relax then look no further- this is definitely the place.
Graham and Mary have created a wonderful home here - indeed it is a home from home -everything has been thoughtfully considered , to the interior decoration, the equipment in the Kitchen and the luxurious bathroom. Five star accommodation indeed. The attention to detail is wonderful , including detailed descriptions of places to visit and local walks all to help you make the most of the area and your holiday.
Luciana was very welcoming and friendly and ensured our stay was worry free.
Prior to our holiday we had made plans to visit numerous places of interest and the local markets but found ourselves repeatedly drawn to the beautiful garden and varied wildlife , which created the perfect haven to relax , read a book and take it all in. Consequently we will now have to return to see if we can manage to visit some of the places we missed out on this time - what a shame!!!

Perfect getaway
Enjoyed a lovely week at this riverside cottage. It was very relaxing watching the world go by and soaking up the sun. The plunge pool was handy to cool down and there was plenty of shade in the garden if you wanted it.
The cottage had all the amenities you could ask for and was close by to Montpellier which was worth a visit. Also there was Sete which was a beach resort an hours drive away from the cottage which was lovely.
Would love to return in the future. Many thanks Mary and Graham for such a wonderful place.

Best Holiday Ever!
We had an absolutely superb holiday in this simply perfect cottage. It was a beautiful setting in which to completely unwind, so much so we rarely left the property. Our biggest decisions each day were either to canoe or take a dip in the pool and to have red or white wine with our lunch. We cannot wait to return next year...best holiday ever!

Breathtaking!
As we walked into this wonderful cottage after our flight from Gatwick and drive from Montpelier, music filled the air and Luciana welcomed us like friends. Within seconds we felt the burden of travel evaporate, within minutes we knew we had found somewhere very special, within hours we were making plans to return next year. It was a breathtaking start to our holiday.
Putting a finger on just what makes this place so magical isn't difficult. Firstly, Mary and Graham have spared no expense to make the cottage as comfortable as possible. From the furnishings to the facilities, everything has been considered, everything given a loving touch and it all seemed so familiar yet completely unique. The well equipped kitchen is surpassed, just, by the luxurious bathroom and there are TVs, stereos and most mod cons you could hope to find. You won't be spending much time indoors though.
This place is all about the great unwind. If you're getting away from life's stresses and strains, you couldn't want for more. The cottage practically insists that you do as little as possible and take life very, very easy while you're there.
And then there's the garden.
Almost every night we sat atop the tiered garden and watched the river flow before us. The great emerald artery that bore life up and down its course. Canoes and paddle boards drifted by from time to time. Sometimes not a soul could be seen for hours. Mostly it's just you and the river, like it's yours alone. And it many ways, it is. We never tired of just sitting and watching.
The week often became a battle between wanting to explore the area and remain cocooned at the cottage. The cottage always won.
I was lucky enough to spend several years as a travel journalist. I think this may be my favourite place in the world.

We chose this cottage because the description seemed to suit our needs. So often you read reviews to assist you in your final decision, you balance the good against the not so good and then click still fearing that the leap into the unknown you have just taken could be a waste not only of your money but of the time reserved for your precious and deserved break. Well on our experience of this property, believe the 5 star reviews, rest easy and click away. The cottage is all the things it boasts in the owners description and a bit of what they can't boast of, the sense of peace, the sense relaxation in a well appointed home and in secluded and tranquil surroundings and above all when the holiday is regretfully over, getting the true feeling of your batteries being recharged. We stayed for a week and having visited the general area before found plenty of places to visit from this location. In an hour or so you can visit historical sites or the coast with some beautiful beaches. However don't feel guilty if the property lulls you into just lazing there, relaxing with a book in the garden area or dipping into the pool or the river,either in the canoe or for a swim. The cottage itself is all the glowing reviews say it is. One more thing, the owners Graham and Margaret,together their representative at the cottage,Lucianna, were helpful and professional assisting with a smooth transition from booking to vacation. Few things are certain about holiday lettings but I think one thing is about this one,you will probably want to return.

Our ideal holiday home!
This is a true home from home! The location is superb. It is furnished, decorated and equipped to a high standard both inside and out, and at the end of our stay we just did not want to leave! We had lovely weather and thoroughly enjoyed lazy days in the shade of the trees with the occasional cooling dip in the plunge pool! Luciana the local agent is charming and very helpful, providing good advice about local restaurants etc. All in all, without any doubt, one of the best weeks holiday we have ever had! We shall be back.

An idyllic week
I've given the cottage five stars, because there is nothing more I would have wanted - it was absolutely lovely. Spotlessly clean, cosy and fab location.
We took the train to Avingon, and it was an easy car ride over towards Aubais. When we reached the cottage we were delighted - a lovely private spot and immaculately well kept. Graham and Mary clearly love it, and have put a lot of time into making sure it has everything you need. We loved the kitchen!! Spotless, and full of all our favourite gadgets! I even used their cookbooks to make some french classics - great fun.
We had breakfast outside each morning, and often dinner outside too when it was just getting dark. The garden is perfect, a wonderful sun spot and even has a swing! Jumping in the pool was so welcome after baking in the sun, and we really enjoyed having a go at canoeing. It was just so relaxing - words can't describe!
There are plenty of regional guidebooks on the shelves, and lots of local information provided by Graham and Mary - we travelled around every other day, and were in very easy reach of a gorgeous beach, and lots of interesting towns. I wish we had had more time to explore.
The endless small touches really make this a unique place - thank you so much for such a lovely holiday.

Absolutely stunning
It's fair to say that the description and reviews still don't do this beautiful cottage justice. Communications with Graham and Mary were regular, swiftly responded to, detailed and solicitous about our comfort and expectations. Our expectations were high - but were exceeded within minutes of our arrival. Our reception by Luciana, who cheerfully altered her own plans to accommodate a change of arrival time by two hours, was warm and fully informative. Luciana made sure that we knew everything that we could possibly need to before she left us to the peace and tranquility of the cottage. The house is magnificent with high ceilings and big windows giving a real feeling of space and light. It is incredibly well appointed and comfortable, everything is good quality and new, except many of the tasteful decorations which are fitting to a delightful French cottage and very well matched. This is a home which is accompanied by incredibly generous hosting where you are invited to make the cottage your own for your stay. The house is easily placed for day trips and for wandering round local markets (or the supermarket) to pick up fresh tasty provisions. There is even a coolbox you can borrow.
The garden is gorgeous, with several different areas, shaded or open to the sun, all perfect for relaxing. Loungers and cushions are provided - all you need is your beach towel, your sun cream and your swimsuit! The plunge pool is cool and refreshing, very private and is looked after with very discreet visits from Elise. The huge fridge freezer means you have easy access to cold drinks too.
If you're more actively inclined there are trails all around to walk, run or cycle, as well as the river to boat or swim in. We had the most wonderful, peaceful and relaxing holiday in one of the most comfortable holiday cottages we have ever seen. We very much hope to return sometime soon.

A Little piece of heaven
Having found this wonderful retreat on Homeaway we were expecting something special but what we found certainly exceeded them, a warm welcome from Luciana was the first joy she knew everything and told us all we needed know,then the house well what can we say except "wow" it was beautiful and well appointed the tiered garden has the same "wow" factor some lovely touches like the plancha and the pool all in all a wonderful peaceful week in wonderful surroundings including taking the canoe on the river and a few days sightseeing plus I must mention the Maje restaurant up the hill in Aubais which served beautiful food.
So I would highly recommend this little piece of heaven and will surely like to return one day.

Had another wonderful stay in this beautiful cottage during our second stay here.
Since our previous visit last year the bathroom had been refurbished and everything else was a good as before.
Lazy days in the garden, day trips to local sites, eating out in Aubais or coking our own food bought at the Sommiers market, with local wine.
It's what a holiday is all about!!
Will return again, it was that good each time.

The perfect place in every respect
Although it was our first visit it immediately felt like home. Beautifully decorated with nothing to be improved upon. Very relaxing holiday, reading , fishing, trips up and down the river where we managed to pick fresh ripe figs overhanging the river bank.

Stunning holiday location
The short description on Owners Direct doesn't quite translate how stunning this summer holiday retreat is.The location is quite simply stunning ,the property well equipped and eloquently furnished with a superb spacious bathroom.In addition to the terraced gardens and a plethora of garden lounge equipment and plunge pool rests anchored on the river a small boat to explore the river. Aubais ,the local village is a 20 minute walk and offers several restaurant choices. A vast variety of flora and fauna can be viewed from either the river or the local walks.We have been to France many times on holiday at various locations and this property will take some beating..simply superb

My husband and I enjoy a wonderful break at this riverside cottage in August 2014. The house was immaculate and combined a feel of luxury and home comfort expertly. We felt immediately at home here.
We spent our days out swimming and rowing on the river cycling in the beautiful surrounding countryside and moving from tier to tier reading in the lovely garden. A number or beautiful small towns are just a short drive away, as is the coast, so there is plenty to do in the surrounding area.
The cottage is very quiet and relaxing but the nearby Aubais is easily accessible. We walked up into the town a few times for dinner (it would have been more if we had visited the incredible Maje restaurant earlier in our stay - if you are in the area i cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough).
All in all we enjoyed a fabulous week here left feeling fully recharged!

We absolutely loved staying at your beautiful cottage, so peaceful and comfortable, well maintained and well equipped and altogether to be highly recommended. We will come again. Lovely area of France with good restaurants and within easy reach of large towns for shopping etc. The owners were very helpful and there was help on hand if we needed it. Wild life and boating on the river meant there were always something to see. We enjoyed an evening glass of wine sitting down on the river bank.

What a wonderful find.
We had great communication from Graeme & Mary the cottage owners during the initial booking. When we got there the cottage was even better than the description with everything we could wish for being provided. We were met by the housekeeper who showed us where everything was and gave suggestions for day trips, markets and local restaurants.
The garden space was extremely private with lots of different seating for different times of day with large table for dining.
Have already booked again for next year.

The cottage is truly wondrous. The inside is a fabulous mix of industrial, vintage with a nod to the 18th Century! Light, spacious and clean. It was a lovely retreat to relax in, just the right size plunge pool with idyllic views of the river. We entertained our French family here and they also fell in love with this little gem. Une experience tres agreable.
