Villa Baykus is an absolute gem! Beautifully presented and maintained, with immaculate gardens and pool, this is a real home from home. The owners, Rod and Hilary, have really thought of every last detail to make your stay just perfect. Never before have we stayed in a villa so well equipped. The setting is lovely, in a quiet area on the edge of the village, with views to the mountains and Pomegranate orchards. Yet its only 5 minutes away from the beautiful river path and an easy flat 15 minute stroll into the village centre, passing numerous good bars, restaurants and cafes whichever route you choose. The booking process was easy and Rod and Hilary provided much information before our departure (and even more in the villa itself) and were happy to answer any questions we had. They arranged transfers to/from the airport for us, via Kaunos Tours whose efficient and friendly staff were always on hand, should we need them, throughout our stay. Having been to Dalyan many times, this was our first stay at Villa Baykus but we hope to stay there again as soon as possible. Cannot recommend highly enough. This was our 7th holiday in Dalyan and our 2nd stay at Villa Baykus. The booking process was easy, with Rod and Hilary very happy to answer our questions and to help with organising our needs. Thanks also to villa managers Kaunos Tours who kept the villa immaculate and looked after us on a day out at Saklikent Gorge. The villa is very comfortable, with all the usual amenities you'd expect to find in a property that is a second home. We spent most of the time outside (day and night), where the lovely pool, comfy sunbeds, the cardak - raised turkish chilling area and the covered verandah with dining table and chairs all got plenty of use. The bikes were also a great addition. The walk into town was probably about 10/15 minutes - but who hurries when you're on holiday ! Dalyan itself is just a fabulous destination - it is no single thing that makes it fabulous - just the sum of all parts. The town itself with loads of restaurants and bars, the river with its many boats going up and down all day, the huge freshwater lake, the mountains, the beach, the people - everything you could possibly want or need. We'll be back !

Stayed here for 2 weeks at the beginning of June with a family of 5 adults in fabulous weather. The villa itself was well maintained with a beautiful outside seating area, providing some shelter from the sunshine. The pool benefits from all day long sunshine and is cleaned daily with plenty of sun beds for everyone. The only small issue being, that the pool depth is a constant 1.78M,so for smaller people or weaker swimmers, this may be a problem. The villa is ideally situated as a base on the edge of town, with a stroll of 10/15 mins, taking you into the choice of bars and shops. We had a fantastic time at Villa Baykus, it's a lovely Villa in a fantastic setting with the mountains as a backdrop. The owners Rod and Hilary made everything effortless, arranging airport transfers to and from the Villa and even arranging a day room for us at a nearby hotel on our last day as we had a late night flight home. It was a great suggestion too as it was nice to have somewhere to relax on the last day and enjoy lunch in a beautiful location down by The river. The Villa is in a quiet location and has absolutely everything you need for a relaxing holiday in the sun.

We have recently enjoyed a wonderful holiday in the villa,it was very well equipped,everything you could wish for.We loved the walk along the river where there was bars and restaurants along the way,the locals were so welcoming without being pushy we all felt very comfortable in Dalyan.We went on boat trips,jumped on the local bus to the beautiful beach where the injured loggerhead turtles are hospitalised,and we met captain June who started the reservation,she was wonderful 94yrs old.Went to the market bought all sorts of things.We will definitely be back.Thankyou so much.

The only negative is that the pool doesn't have a shallow end, but is fine for older families. Dalyan is a pretty friendly town with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. Plenty to do, boat trips, beach, turtle sanctuary, mud baths, tombs, waterfall restaurants, etc, etc. This is our 3rd time in Dalyan and would go back again, so would highly recommend. Rod & Hilary are very helpful owners.

This was our first time in Turkey but it won't be the last. Our experience in Dalaman and the Villa Baykus was outstanding. I can't praise the villa enough. Great location, very well equipped, all fittings of a high standard, lots of room inside and out, great pool, lovely loungers, free wine fi, free bikes, excellent information pack, great views, shaded balcony and 'kush?', friendly informative neighbours............ The town is very easily reached on the bikes or along a pretty path by the river. It has all you need for a great holiday and the residents are extremely friendly. There is a wealth of restaurants. Every one we tried had cheap food and drink from traditional English to Turkish specialisms. Portion sizes were substantial. The shops are easy to use and the fresh food from the market was outstanding, especially the fruit and veg. Bars range from quiet with great views to busy with sports channels. The info in the villa helped us to decide on our activities and we went by boat to Turtle beach, by boat to a market/lunch on board/freshwater swimming/mud bath, to a traditional Turkish breakfast, to a Turkish bath, to a barber for a traditional shave and ear singe , to the Roman ruins at Kaunos, to a home made Turkish pancake with freshly squeezed pomegranate juice - all were excellent recommendations as was the hint to book through the Kaunos office where necessary. Trips we purchased were phenomenal value. No need for a car at all. We ended the holiday fitter and more relaxed than we began it. The airport experience at Dalaman is also pretty relaxing. Great holiday, great location, great villa.

We had seen photos of the villa, on websites, so thought that we knew what to expect. However, the location, the ease of getting to it, the closeness to a multitude of shops and restaurants and the high quality of the villa, its fixtures and fittings, still took us by surprise. We have rented numerous villas but never one so well equipped and comfortable. Having never been to Turkey before, we fully immersed ourselves in the boat trips, the beaches, (saw two huge loggerheads under the boats.) the food, the ruins, the baths and the barbers - all of them high quality and very cheap by British standards. Trips were easy to book at the local Kaunos office and the info provided at the villa guided us to the best places. We were amazed at the warmth of the locals and enjoyed temperatures in the high 20's all week - we swam every day in the pool or sea. Absolutely loved it.

Villa Baykus (owl) is set in on the outskirts of Dalyan away from the madding throng BUT close enough to take a gentle walk (15mins max) or cycle (3-4 minutes). The Villa wants for nothing. The toughest decisions we had to make was do we continue to sit on the shaded patio with our early morning cuppa or should we venture over to the sunbeds with adequate shade if needed. Be under no illusions these are very tough choices. Accommodation is perfect, the use of the bikes was brilliant and Dalyan has so much to offer, as does the local area. However for us we simply wanted vitamin D. Our children are 18 and 15 and the wi-fi meant they remained connected with the world (well their world) while the wife and I drifted away from the world with nothing more to do for two weeks than decide if we sit or lay and sun or shade. After all you don't really want too many choices while you are away do you? Rod and Hilary are excellent hosts (obviously they are not there) but they leave you with a great feeling that you have chosen wisely when deciding on booking your vacation. Look no further, book here. I am fickle and Baykus gave me everything I needed in a family holiday....

A lovely and well resourced villa in a quiet location, but still only 10 minutes walk from the centre of Dalyan. The river path walk is longer 20 minutes, or so, but shaded and just peaceful. Everything has been thought of in the villa, so there is everything that we needed to cook when we wanted to. The pool, verandah, and garden were gorgeous and we spent a lot of quality time in/on these. Rod's information and help were invaluable in preparing us for the holiday. I can not recommend this villa and location highly enough.

The villa is lovely and well equipped and maintained. The free wifi is an added bonus for the family. My husband enjoyed cooking on the bbq, the kids loved the pool which was used from morning till late. The villa is a quiet location but within walking distance of the shops and restaurants by the river. The bikes at the villa came in handy to go shopping or sightseeing. The locals are all friendly and the restaurants are great value for money and great food too. We went on two trips through Kunous tours and were brilliant, we went on the Jeep safari and the 12 island boat trip. Rod and Hillary arranged everything for us and gave us valuable information on what to do and see. Out of a party of 6 from ages 9 to 69 we all agreed it was the best holiday we've had and are going back next year! The McConaghy family from Cumbria.

Our first impressions of Villa Baykus was perfect this was our second visit and it was like coming home.Every thing is very clean and well maintained.The pool man comes every day to clean the pool and pool area,he is a friendly young man...We would recommend Villa baykus to people of all ages although we feel if you have toddlers or young children you would need to keep both eyes on them as the pool area is open. we would love to recommend a restaurant or two but we can't ...they are all excellent our problem was we wanted to eat at all of them. We have done a couple of boat trips.. but there is so much to do in and around Dalyan that we just run out of time... We are booking up again for another holiday at Villa Baykus. We love the every thing about our time spent in Dalyan and at our lovely Villa.

We stayed at Villa Baykus for 2 weeks (July/August) and we cannot rate it highly enough. The villa is absolutely beautiful with every amenity you could possibly need, Rod and Hilary have thought of everything! With their attention to detail, it means you can just unpack and enjoy. We had been to Dalyan previously and fallen in love with the place. We just love everything about it and we are really glad we chose Villa Baykus for our second holiday there. We did have the intention of going on a few day trips but in the end, we only managed one - the temptation to relax on a sunbed under a parasol, reading a book by our own private pool won every other day. :) We did manage to tear ourselves away in the evenings and enjoyed the pleasant little walk into the centre. The nearest restaurant is less than a ten minute walk away, the majority are between 15 to 25 minutes away. Sometimes we stayed out til late, sometimes we went back to the villa for a late dip and other times we enjoyed playing charades or one of the other games Rod and Hilary have kindly left. If like us, you work hard and want to be able to completely relax and unwind for 2 weeks of bliss, choose Villa Baykus - you can't go wrong. The toughest decision you'll have is whether to have your morning tea/coffee on the balcony or terrace and which restaurant you're going to eat at in the evening. It's great.
