Beautiful spacious home with an amazing view! We were greeted at the driveway by a CA quail sitting on a rock every evening. Loved the screened in back porch and view of the valley with the natural sounds of the evening!

My son and I plan a hiking trip to Yosemite each June; this was our first time staying at Georgia's WIndy Peach, and what a wonderful experience it was! I could have spent all day at the house, reading, napping, and gazing at the mountains from the screened porch and yard area. There are many, many hiking trails in the area, and the home is an hour from the south entrance to Yosemite National Park. The Wind Peach is very clean, charmingly and comfortably appointed, and well-equipped for grilling and cooking - we made all of our meals in the spacious kitchen and outdoor grill. The beds are comfortable (we did not use the pull-down bed so cannot comment) but the other two beds were extremely comfortable and the master walk-in rain shower was fabulous after a long day of hiking. There is abundant wildlife - we saw a variety of local birds, including scrub jays and quail as well as a very industrious hummingbird who was a daily visitor and a bobcat on her dusk rounds one evening. Being in the mountains, we had a few insect visitors which we removed to the outdoors. We found it helps to keep the door closed between the screened porch area and the house if you do not like visits from from our arachnid friends. We plan to come back this Fall for the Sierra Arts Trail in October, and again in June 2023. We cannot thank Bonnie and her family enough for making this lovely home available.

What a charming place to stay! The view was amazing, the house had old charm and modern touches. I would love to stay here again if I go back out to the west coast.

The place is in a great location. The view in the backyard is great for sunsets. Very comfortable house, plenty of space. Only downside is the road up to the house, would be great if all paved.

I brought my kids to Awahanee to celebrate my 10 year olds birthday. It was just her, my son and his girlfriend. Every room was absolutely perfect. We played out side, the views were extraordinary and the bathroom in the grande suite is beyond anything a mother could want, traveling with three kids 😆. It was cozy and quaint and my kids will grow up with amazing memories of it.

It was a nice location, the house was okay even do they need to improve on the cleaning part I think you could offer that place a little bit cleaner.

We were in a pinch so the property provided what we needed. With more time to select would do something different. All the necessary amenities are there but there are improvements that need to be made and the area is less than ideal

Bonnie was a perfect host. We loved the house and loved that she shared her mom’s legacy. Access to Yosemite was less than an hour and a beautiful drive. The town of Oakhurst was just down the road toward Yosemite and Mariposa was a few miles in the other direction. The house was well maintained and well equipped for our stay. The back screened porch was awesome for beautiful sunsets. Loved having all the birds and other wildlife right in the backyard. Cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was. Highly recommend and will definitely try to stay at Georgia’s Windy Peach if we return to Yosemite. Thanks Bonnie for an amazing place to stay.

Great home great location! Only critique was that it was chilly. We had a hard time with the heater. But other then that it was great! We spent a lot of time in Yosemite and in Oakhurst!

Ecclectic, charming and comfortable!! This home worked out so well for us while visiting family in Oakhurst. So private and peaceful and close to Yosemite’s south entrance!

Nice place and quiet

House was easy to find and about 5-10 minutes from Oakhust. The space worked well for our family of five. The kitchen was well appointed with all we needed. The pantry had some appreciated extras such as disposable travel coffee cups and plastic storage bags for our snacks!

This is a great house with beautiful views from the back screened in porch. It was a perfect place to relax after days spent hiking in Yosemite (~35 minutes to the South Gate entrance).

This was the perfect spot for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary. 30 mins from Yosemite gate and 10-15 mins from Oakhurst(where we did our shopping at Vons). As much as we like eating out occasionally, I usually prepare all our meals and fully equipped kitchen had everything I needed and then some. The covered patio was a favorite spot of ours because it had the most stunning of views, morning and night. We look forward to staying here again. It’s definitely a favorite. The owners are so personable, accommodating and sweet. 5-stars all around!!!

It was a perfect stay, my family n I loved the house n its location. I would really recommend this house, to everyone. It's close to shops just incase you need to get groceries, gas etc. It has an amazing view, it's a 5 star +. Hopefully in the future vacation if we come back to Yosemite, this property is available I would rent it out again.

Had a great stay at this house! Everything was neat and as stated in the description. Towels and other basics were well supplied. We loved the big master bathroom. Would highly recommend!

Amazing location, great amnesties and cozy place.

This could be my new happy place! This place had everything we needed. We were hiking in Yosemite, picked up groceries in Oakhurst, and were able to come back and cook dinner and relax on the porch with spectacular views! Would have stayed longer if time had allowed. Definently recommend.

Location of "in the boonies" was correct! Home was charming with plenty of room and amenities and an amazing view.

Our family of 5 spend a week in Ahwahnee house. We really like it. It is clean and all is good. It actually looks better in real life than on the pictures. My husband and I especially like the back porch with comfy chairs for reading. I put the hummingbird feeder as there were hummingbirds flying around.Highly recommend!

The history of your property and comfortably classic decor touched the ladies’ hearts, the plush couches and working BBQ grill kept the boys happy and the patio view allowed us all to sip coffee and relax. We all appreciated the quick access to Bass lake, Yosemite, and the local brewery. Nice stay for sure.

We were totally blown away by just how cozy and lovely the entire property was. Lots of little touches everywhere to make it feel like a home away from home. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived. Originally we were supposed to visit at the beginning of the year but we had to reschedule at the last minute and Bonnie was super gracious and quick to get back with us. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Is fine and good comfort

We enjoyed our stay, especially loved the view from the enclosed porch. It was very relaxing. Would have stayed longer if we could have. There were some minor issues with ants. Wifi was a little unpredictable. Overall though we had a great visit!

Our family had a wonderful time together and enjoyed visiting Yosemite while staying here.
