Ideal for 2 couples with private bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms, but large areas to be together. Very modern, well looked after and all very clean. Beds were comfy with choice of pillow. The courtyard was a real sun trap, but the highlight had to be the hot tub which was relaxing after a hard day of doing nothing! Plenty of parking close by, and the coffee shop and bakery was ideal for breakfast takeaways.

No window in the 2nd bedroom due to the layout of the property which meant having a light on in the daytime but also no fresh air circulation.

- the lady that gave us the keys and all was very friendly and helpful - we got a welcome drink at their coffee shop - the pool option is nice - many kitchen appliances - Netflix included

- it could be more clean in the bathrooms, we had hair in the shower from another person - the water does not drain properly in the shower, makes everything wet - the pool/jacuzzi: it would be nice if you have the option to heat it up - it’s rather dark as the blinds had to be kept closed as it’s on the Main Street in the village and therefore noisy and to keep other people from looking in

All was fantastic

Excellent newly renovated villa with high quality furnishings & fittings. Internal hot tub jacuzzi nice to use. Free parking and excellent coffee shop & bakery nearby also owned by the villa owners. Gracious hosts who greeted us with lovely local produce incl delicious bread & honey & oranges ... and the juicer meant we started each day with freshly squeezed orange juice 😋

Unfortunately the jacuzzi/hot tub was cold (around 25 C) rather than the 30-32 C it was meant to be. Admittedly we were mostly out at the beach so didn’t pursue getting it fixed, but our hosts were very accommodating so I’m sure they would have done had we asked.

Villa Zafyra is the best accommodation for the east of Crete.

Full sized kitchen, washing machine, loads of space, plenty of cupboards, welcome gift pack, coffee machines. Everything you could need is there already, right down to sugar, dishwasher tablets, body wash and washing detergent. Super friendly hosts.

Spa bath could have been warmer. Location is a bit noisy at night as it is on the main road.
