Location and Island was Fantastic. Cottage needs deep cleaning, windows, bathrooms...some paint and a bit of renovations. Too many dishes, coffee makers, didn't leave much space for our groceries, etc...but, all that said we had a great vacation on the Island. Thanks.

Wonderful quaint cottage on pristine private island! Our favourite boating get-away! Beautiful swimming cove with gradual entry, awesome fire pit area, multiple decks and seating areas for every spectacular view. We had an amazing time here!

We enjoyed a week on this island getaway with our two dogs. Went swimming and paddle boarding with them. Jeff (property manager) and Eric (owner) were great. Informative and easy to contact when required. Weather was great except for the last 2 days.

Perfect private cottage for vacation with small family. Location is exceptional. Cottage feels like a true cottage, a little dated decking/boat house but it’s he cottage is clean and well stocked.

This is definitely a hidden gem in the 1000 islands. The property is private, fully equipped and incredibly convenient. Ours daughters took the SeaDoo for a 3 minute ride to get ice cream at The Ivy. Love our days here. Already booked for this August and next summer. Family memories made.

We had an amazing week on O’Connor Island! The weather was very hot which made for lots of time spent in the beautiful water swimming. The swimming area is so nice and clean and has next to no weeds which I loved. The boat house was excellent, we didn’t have to worry about bad weather and if the boat would be ok. The cottage is great - nothing fancy but everything was clean, it’s stocked with everything you need and it’s a perfect, cozy cottage with lots of room and storage. Even though it was so hot when we were there the first week of July, there is a great cross breeze and fans throughout the cottage which made sleeping easy. We absolutely loved the peacefulness of the area and having a whole island to ourselves! We sat in the Adirondack chairs every night watching the fireworks over the weekend and watching the moon rise. Eric and Jeff are great and both are very responsive to questions leading up to our stay and while we were there. We have been vacationing in The 1000 Islands for the past 4 years now renting cottages on different islands and we have now found our favourite and the one we want to return to each year!

A truly beautiful rustic cottage in the heart of the gem that is the Thousand Islands! As boaters of this area this was the perfect weekend getaway for us to brings friends to! Two couples stayed very comfortably in the cottage while we stayed in our boat with the luxury of great dock space and shore power! The island is the perfect size with an amazing beach area and fire pit, as well as plenty of lounging areas around the cottage with spectacular views! We will be booking again next year!

This private island cottage offers clean swimming, incredible 360 degree views and great docking for our 28’ boat. The bonfire pit is gorgeous overlooking rivers edge. The owner was always quick to respond and the property was always a text away. If you are looking for a private getaway to relax, this is the best you will find! Cannot wait to go back!

The location could not be better. Communication with the host was great. Cottage itself has everything you need but isn’t luxurious in any way (which it doesn’t have to be). Water isn’t potable which would be good to know in advance. We enjoyed our stay very much and I would not hesitate to rebook. Thank you!

This property was perfect for our family and friends to enjoy time together. The views were spectacular and the swimming was excellent!
We hope to make this cottage a yearly tradition.

Beautiful Private Location
Booked as a getaway for our family of 4 and had an absolutely wonderful time. Check in was very straightforward, cottage was clean and had all necessary amenities. The island is private and enough space to explore. We spent some time fishing and swimming off the dock. Took a day trip to one of the national park islands for a hike and picnic. We loved the spot and will definitely book again next year.

Another nice retreat on this beautiful island
This was our third time to enjoy the secluded and peacful island. We really love this place;-))))
What should I say, you don't go overthere for watching tv or films or going to bars. The island provides you with full relaxation! I love to sit on the deck and just watch waves of the water, listening to the leaves in the wind. It is very, very relaxing!
Thanks to Shane and his lovely wife (Emily, if I recall correctly) for the water taxi!
Thanks to Eric (owner) for the flawless communication!
Thanks, Jeff for arranging the garbage!
I hope we can go back to this beautiful place next summer;-)

Lovely secluded island
Nice rustic cottage on a beautiful secluded island. My dog loved running around after his ball and we did not have to be worried about others (dogs, cars people or wearing /not wearing masks). Nice big trees, I love them. It is perfect for relaxation and enjoying some time away from everyday's craziness. Sometimes pleasure boats can be noisy but that is all. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely summer stay
My husband, my dog and I spent almost a week on the island. We enjoyed our morning and evenings by listening to birds and the river. My dog loved to run around chasing his favorite ball. The St-Laurence River is beautiful. The place secluded, relaxing and big trees provide enough shades outside during hot summer days. We loved the campfire, and the view is fantastic. Kayaking around the island gives another perspective from the place. However, the cottage needs some TLC and AC during summer. It can be crazy hot inside during evenings and nights.

Privacy with a view
This was our second trip to the island and we wouldn’t hesitate to go back again. The cottage is in need of some updating but everything you need is there. Our boat was nicely protected tucked in the little inlet next to the boathouse with so many beautiful islands and real estate to explore. The size of the island is perfect for kids to explore and dogs to run free. The proximity to mainland, restaurants and a marina is comforting, while the views from the island offer peace and privacy.

Very relaxing
Our experience was excellent. Beautiful views. Cottage was comfy. Watching the sunset in the evening and sunrise in the morning was very nice. One of the features I enjoyed on the property were the many places to relax either on the deck facing the cove or at the fire pit watching the sun go down. It was a great experience and we look forward to returning again.

The location and the island are beautiful. The downside is the lack of maintenance of the cottage. The cottage is well equipped, rustic and basic. However, the island is very enjoyable if you like outdoor activities!

Beautiful location, loved our stay.
We had a wonderful week at this cottage. So peaceful and surrounded by gorgeous views. Our dogs loved having the run of the island and we love bed sitting on the deck just taking in the incredible surroundings. It was a tad cold while we stayed so aside from the dogs, no swimming but there was a lovely bay to swim in should you wish. The cottage is rustic but well equipped. Everything we needed was here. (Note to self, we packed far too much in case the cottage did not have it but we were pleasantly surprised) would definitely come back to enjoy this little private paradise.

Great island.
Island and location were fantastic. Cottage was cozy with everything you need but is in serious need of a good dose of spider spray. We did have hot water the last 3 days and the property manager said he was coming each day when we called but never showed up. Fortunately the water was warm to rinse off in. Great value for the price.

Secluded rustic cabin
Amazing stay. Had a wonderful week there. There were 5 of us. The cabin is situated on a hill with serval stairs up. Around the cottage are a few steep hills. Rustic two bedrooms with decent sized living room and dining room. Will seat 6. Kitchen could use a few extra things. AlWe went through several jugs of drinking water.

My family and I spent a great 8 nights on O’Conor island.
The pros:
- the island is in the perfect location for getting almost anywhere. We boated up to Rockport for dinner, down to Gananoque for lunch, Pecks or the Ivy Lea Club are only minutes away.
- the island is great for exploring and swimming
- I spent many hours sitting on one of the many strategically placed decks, reading and watching the word go bye
- at night you would hear loons calling over and over again
- the internet was fast for rainy afternoons Or when the kids needed a break
- the kitchen is quite well equipped
The cons:
- The cottage is rustic, with a lot of character, but it is definitely from another era. This means things are a little smaller, a little more worn.
- it could use a thorough pressure wash and paint job.
- the boat house has been taken over by a flock of swallows. It’s fun to see them flying around and we even saw a nest of babies, but it makes it difficult to park your boat inside. There is still ample dockage.
Overall a great place to stay and I would go back again. Thanks for sharing it with us John!

Awesome rustic cottage getaway
Exactly what I expected and more. Very relaxing, both john the owner and Jeff the manager were very easy going, & helpful answering questions before and during our stay. It was awesome to be on our own island with everything we needed. The dock was great to go swimming And fishing off of, a huge fire pit, beautiful moon rises. There’s even a washer and drier for emergencies ( ask Jeff how to use). The water pressure was great, and lots of hot water. Note, the sinks in the bathroom have a cold water faucet and a hot water faucet. Also, If you are not into bugs or cobwebs, which are par for a cottage on the water, then rent a house with A/C. The glen house inn had a very nice dinner, only 5 min boat ride away.
We were very glad to have found this rustic gem. Thank you guys!
PS.. a boat is a must as there are so many park islands to explore! Unless of course you just want to stay in one place, relax and be alone.

Rustic getaway
If you are looking for the perfect "get-away-from-it-all" location, this, is it! You will be in a rustic setting with plenty of hot water for washing up after a busy day exploring the thousand Islands, spending quality time around the campfire or simply admiring the enormous view from one of the many decks on all four sides of the cottage.
Fishing on these picturesque waters is world renowned and the mainland is a mere 8 to10 minutes away on either side if you decide to venture back into civilization.
Bring your own drinking water, or rough it by boiling your own.
Plenty of equipment in the kitchen - enough for as many people as you want to fit in the cottage. The King size bed in the main BR is new and comfortable. The "no curtains" special feature is awesome for star gazing should you happen to wake up in the middle of the night.
Great docking area for your boat, and Peck's Marina has a good assortment of boats if you need one.
The closest thing to civilization on the Island is the high speed internet and satellite TV - both optional of course if you are there to totally "unplug".

Jeff the property manager was very helpful and quick to respond. The cabin could use a few improvements, but overall who spends all their time in the cabin anyways? Our dog loved being able to explore and play with the ducks without us worrying about where she was. The firepit was perfectly situated from the cabin - not too close, not too far; and there was plenty of water to jump off the end of the dock for a swim. While you're there, make sure to search for the geocache!!! Overall, a memorable, very relaxing trip.
