Large, spacious room right in the town center. Friendly welcoming host and lovely breakfasts. Easy paking.

The location was great, right in the centre of this lovely small town. There was parking on the drive next to the house. The room was really comfortable and a good size. Lydia was delightful and we had a good long chat over a very good breakfast. Have already tried to go back but the room was booked.

it was good to be self contained. lovely village & lovely house. hostess excellent as was breakfast.

the only thing was that the duvet was very heavy for time of year although we did have an exceptionally hot few days whilst there.

The host's very friendly and offered to arrange an earlier breakfast for us after she knew that we'd arranged a fossil hunt trip around.

Nothing we dislike

Plenty of options for breakfast and the option to choose the time you would like to have breakfast. We found this particularly helpful. My food intolerances were taken into consideration and alternatives were thankfully provided. The room was spotlessly clean. Everything we needed was there. A nice touch having our own fridge, and finding fresh, chilled milk and water inside. We enjoyed our interactions with Lydia. She was attentive and very approachable. A lovely, friendly host. It was nice to have a separate entrance from the main house. Plenty of parking nearby. We will have no hesitation in recommending Minton House to our friends and family for an excellent base to visit that area of Devon.

I booked Minton House via booking.com for a friends wedding and Lydia contacted me shortly after to introduce herself and also offer an additional nights stay if needed. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt very welcome as soon as we arrived! Having breakfast in the morning and getting to chat with Lydia was a real highlight! We would stay again, and definitely recommend to others looking for an East Devon mini break!

Good breakfast in lovely room. Quiet location

Lovely to meet Lydia and Paul who were very friendly and welcoming. We had the King room which had private access and found the bed very comfortable. Lovely breakfasts too. The room was very clean. Parking space in driveway at side of house.

Would have liked some fruit available at breakfast.

Good size and well equipped room with an excellent en-suite shower. Freshly cooked breakfast with a variety of cereals and home made yoghurt as well. Our own private entrance.

Lovely couple . Brilliant breakfast. The room was beautiful and extremely clean. Great that there is a parking space next to the property. Wonderful large shower. Bed really comfortable. Nice to have fresh milk and a bottle of water in the fridge plus plenty of tea and coffee in the room.

The host was very welcoming and made us feel at home. The room was warm, clean and comfortable and ideal for us. Although the village is small the location was ideal for access to other facilities. When we pulled up to Minton House it looked like parking would be a problem, but this was found to be ill founded as Minton House had it's on drive to park on. Lovely breakfast, the sausage was delicious.

Ability to open the window for ventilation especially at night time. Also impossible to see out of the window due to opaque film covering the glass. In the summer this could possibly be very difficult due to the heat.

Colyton is a beautiful village/small town. Although Minton House is situated in the heart of the village we found it extremely quiet especially at night which led to a really good nights sleep in a very comfortable king size bed. Our room was large with a table and chairs plus an easy chair which was nice when watching the TV. The en-suite had a great power shower and towels changed frequently. The breakfast Lydia served was excellent, she even made a special breakfast for us on our last day. Lydia is such a lovely person who did her best to make our holiday a delightful experience, we shall certainly be visiting Minton House again.
