STARFISH ON STRADDIE
"Starfish" est un chalet confortable de 2 chambres, à proximité de bushland naturel et à seulement 1 kilomètre de la plage (S'il vous plaît faites défiler vers le bas de la première page pour voir l'emplacement exact sur la carte locale)
Starfish a tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour des vacances à la plage sans stress.
L'hiver apporte le majestueux baleines à bosse lors de leur migration annuelle à Hervey Bay. Un court trajet en voiture à des belvédères et de Mai à Août, vous pourrez voir les dirigeant vers le nord. De Août à Novembre ils retournent dans leur maison d'été dans les eaux de l'Antarctique. D'autres baleines peuvent aussi fréquenter les eaux cristallines au large de North Stradbroke Island.

Promenade dans la magnifique gorge de la pointe, y compris le tourisme
Imaginez-vous pieds nus sur une plage immaculée, pas un soin dans le monde. Sun scintillant à travers l'eau cristalline bleu clair, dauphins surfer sur les vagues. Mouettes, sternes et les captures d'huîtres dans leur journée sur la plage aussi. Vous pouvez repérer un cerf-volant ou glisse aigle au-dessus des dunes.
Ceci est un petit avant-goût de ce qui vous attend. Pour découvrir tout North Stradbroke Island a à offrir, un agréable voyage à travers la baie de Moreton est nécessaire. Ferries réguliers véhicules et bateaux de passagers partent de Cleveland, une zone de côté de la baie, au sud de Brisbane. Voyages en ferry et de bateaux de passagers partent tous les jours de 5h du matin, jusqu'à la fin, selon le jour de la semaine. Plus à ce sujet plus tard, mais il faut dire que ce voyage de détente sera de stress et vous détendre dans la préparation de votre séjour au paradis.
A 15 minutes en voiture de Dunwich, étaient les terminaux de ferry et de bateau, est Starfish.

Starfish is absolutely the perfect place to stay at Point Lookout. It’s a great location ( need a car), quiet, clean, well equipped and super comfortable. Highly recommend.

Good value compared to other properties on island
You will need a car though as long walk to amenities
No dryer if raining but has drying rack.

On entering the property everything is as pictured online except not as clean. There is noone to greet you. Just keys left in a basket. The smell of an old dusty and musty house hits you when you walk in. On further inspection there were ants and spiders seen in places. The cushions on the chairs at the dining table had mould on them which caused itchiness when sitting on them and the dusty musty smell gave me asthma attacks so i had to take ventolin for the 4 night stay. There needs to be some maintenance done to the property like fixing the roof panels and replace the bbq which was dirty and had missing parts so wasnt usable. The pegs for the clothes line were old and broke when trying to use them. The fridge had dents in the door, the bottom of the oven cupboard needs attention as it looks like something happened and its just been painted over and the lounge had some faint kids drawing marks on them. The location was fantastic but you do need a car to get around. Comfortable bed. Close to the beach. Washing machine and bathroom was very good. Communication with owners was very good.

We had a wonderful week at Starfish after Easter. We keep coming back because of the excellent location, the clean, comfortable and cosy little house with lots of board games and DVDs for the kids, and the hospitality from Carolyn and Mal. The new deck with its ocean view through the trees is an added bonus. We’ll be back again!

Lovely house with plenty of room and fully equipped. Relaxing balcony with a view of Moreton Island. Easy drive to Point Lookout and Cylinder Beach. We will stay there again if we have the opportunity.

The accommodation served its purpose well, small but comfortable, with glimpses of the ocean. You really need a car to get around as it's hilly with no shortcuts. Clean and adequately appointed.

Overall a great place to stay. Beds were really comfortable. Kitchen supplied with lots of utensils to cook, almost like being home. Dishwasher was a plus. Do bring your own coffee, tea, sugar, shampoo, conditioner and soap though.becauce they were not supplied..BBQ on the little deck was a really handy adition. No internet but like most of Straddie. Hard to find a good connection spot. Download maps, food places and places of interest before you come. Penty of dvds and family games in the house so that was very good. Really nicely set up little house. We will definitely be back when at Straddie again.

Lovely location but bring everything you need-including pepper gladwrap/foil (large container of salt found)!
Outdoor area rather bleak.
Books on Minjerribah and local history would also be a welcome addition to the stay.

Nice little and tidy, bbq is usable but needs a tidy up, dog enclosure could be around the back door to give a bit more freedom for pooch, has everything you need including a Nespresso pod machine…Enjoy.

Located in a quiet residential area, but close enough to easily visit any beach at Point Lookout, we really enjoyed our stay at Starfish on Straddie. We were able to manage our small dog who probably had the best time ever, loving the dog-friendly beaches. A magical moment was also watching a koala walk down the footpath into a neighbours yard before disappearing into the trees; and the kangaroos are just a normal part of the scenery - where else can you experience Australian wildlife like that!

The location is great. Easy short drive to anywhere or a 1km walk to the nearest beach. It was a lovely clean little cottage with very comfortable beds. Our little dog loved it too. We will be back for sure.

The property is exceptionally clean. However as we are seniors the location was probably not the best for us as we enjoy walking and found we had to drive everywhere ,the property is located in a hilly part of the Island. Our fault we should have researched.

This property was perfect for our family of 3. It had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable and it is in a peaceful and convenient location with the added bonus of being able to buy fresh seafood right next door. We are regular visitors to Straddie, it was the first time we have stayed in this area and we would absolutely stay again. Thankyou!

Clean, bright and spacious for the 3 of us. Beds were comfy and there were loads of games and DVDs for the hours not spent at the beach. It had everything we needed for storage. Really well-stocked utensils cupboards and drawers. perfect!

This is our fourth stay at Starfish. We keep coming back because it’s such a fabulous little cottage in a great location with everything we need. And we can bring our dog who loves it as much as we do. Thanks Carolyn and Mal for another great stay and the delicious seafood, we will be back!

This is the easiest place to stay. Everything is there, everything works. Everything is well done. Nice ancient forest walking track close by, 5 mins walk to the beach. Thanks Carolyn and Mal, looking forward to next year.
