Enjoyed three excellent days in this centrally located apartment in historic Budapest building. Just steps from the Central Market...about 8 minutes to the Gellert Thermal Baths...very walkable. Apartment has two full bedrooms although one is more of a loft and requires climbing stairs to use the bathroom, etc. Still, it was perfect for us. Well equipped kitchen, very large bathtub. Building has a smallish elevator which made life easier since apartment is on the third floor. Definitely would recommend this property.

We had a great stay in Budapest in this sweet little apartment. There was plenty of room for our family of 5. The apartment is on the top floor and in the back of the building (far away from street noise) and so it was quiet and lovely. We were able to sleep with windows open and not have noise problems at all. (There is also an AC unit for the nights when it was hot and still, which was also lovely!) The apartment is very convenient to the metro and to great eating places. Sophie was great at pointing us in the right direction for good food that wasn't in the heart of the tourist areas. She directed us to groceries and other areas around town too. Working with Sophie was great. She was very quick with replying to communications. She met us at the apartment to show us around and give us pointers. And she arranged for us to have a taxi waiting for us at 5am on the morning of our departure. We had a great time visiting Budapest and would recommend the apartment and location to anyone.

Sophia was great in replying to emails and issues. The apartment is cozy and nicely furnished, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. The building itself is near Kalvin place, a direct, 30-min. bus ride from the airport. Sophia met us there and showed us around the apt. so we felt good about the stay. The building itself is old and the facade and lighting in need of renovation yet we still felt safe. Major issues with the shower, we were unable to use it, Sophia has promised to do a partial reimbursement in compensation of the inconvenience and we hope she follows through. Thanks Goodness for the public bathhouses and the bathtub in the apartment. All being said, we would gladly return to this apartment.

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 15 year old, 10 year old), stayed in this apartment for 3 nights. Sophie, the owner, was easy to work with and answered all of our email questions promptly. The apartment has a great location. The apartment is located across from the street from the Budapest National Museum. The direct bus to the airport (Bus 100E) is also across the street and the Kalvin ter metro stop is at the corner. We walked almost everywhere as many sights are within a 20 minute walk. There are several restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk and a small grocery store 5 minutes away. The apartment was very comfortable and immaculately clean. The master bedroom was large with a comfortable queen sized bed and a single day bed. The loft bedroom upstairs also had a comfortable double bed. The bathroom was large with plenty of hot water. The apartment is located on a busy street, but as it is located at the back of the apartment complex away from the street, we only experienced absolute silence. There is also a lift available if you would prefer not to walk the stairs. One of the best apartments we have stayed in using Homeaway and I would highly recommend!

Four-day stay was great. Apartment had everything we needed for our family. While it looks like this place is on a main road, the apartment itself is setback and very quiet - I mean very quiet. You wouldn't think you're even in the city. Owner is great and was helpful in every way. Location is central to sights and restaurants.

Sophie has two apartments centrally located near the history museum, restaurants and tram. Both apartments are very nice and well maintained. One has a lift and the other is a walk up. Both are great locations. Sophie was ver helpful. We would gladly stay again.

We were looking for a true Eastern European experience for 5 nights in Budapest before boarding a train for Vienna. We came pretty close to having that experience when we decided to rent an apartment versus staying in a hotel! As others have reported, the location could not have been much better to all of the sights of Budapest. We walked almost everywhere. When we were not walking, we took the Metro or Trams both stations just steps away from the apartment. It was so nice to be able to walk back to the apartment mid day, and then refresh for an evening out. The apartment building itself was mostly quiet. Even though it is in a busy part of the city there was absolutely no noise coming from the street. The flat is decorated in scandinavian style and the accommodations were very comfortable. Bathroom is big and even there is washing machine/dryer. We met Sophie on departure morning and she kindly booked our taxi and returned our deposit. Really, we did not want to leave and all I can think about is returning to Budapest one day as it is a very beautiful city, we would again choose this apartment - do not hesitate to book this fabulous apartment for your vacation.

If you want a convenient location and a spotlessly clean place to stay in Budapest then this is it. Sophia's excellent arrival instructions gave us no problems in finding our way to this apartment. It is just opposite the Hungarian National Museum (which is well worth at least 4 hours to visit) and is a few steps from one of the Kalvin Ter subway exits. The spacious main bedroom was very relaxing and although the kitchen was small it had all you could need to make a meal and a bonus was the generous fridge size, useful for fruit lovers like us. We didn't use the upstairs bedroom as we were party of two but it too was spotlessly clean. However it may be a little low in the ceiling height for taller people. The comfortable lounge and modern bathroom made this the perfect place to stay for us. We could walk to the river, which is magnificent any time of day but usually we walked down after dinner just to admire the spectacular nightscape. There are plenty of places to eat within easy walking distance and the metro is very convenient. We started with a Budapest card then bought the book of tickets which you could use on all public transport. Next time we visit Budapest we will be hoping that one of Sophia's apartments is available again.

El barrio era muy bueno, seguro y tranquilo. - Edificio: Precioso, antiguo, lleno de historia, la comunidad era respetuosa, los espacios comunes eran limpios y ordenados. - Departamento: muy ondero, decorado con estilo, exquisito baño, también la pieza principal muy espaciosa. La cocina cumple, al igual que los espacios comunes. -Servicios: el aire acondicionado funciona bien, es un imprescindible si se va en verano. El Wifi opera perfecto, así como el agua caliente y la lavadora. - Arrendataria: Sofia es muy agradable, se preocupa de entregarte el departamento impecable, te orienta sobre como moverte en la ciudad, te entrega buenos tips, que se agradecen.Ojo! En Hungría se paga todo con PayPal y eso tiene un recargo por transferencia, se recomienda solicitar información al respecto. En definitiva 100% recomendable, esperamos volver pronto! The discription of these flat was very good, everthings was right. The apatement was very clean and nicely decorated. Everything was frendly and was working. The sevice was very good and organised.

We loved staying in Sophia's apartment, we could tell she takes care of the flat a lot. It has a really nice atmosphere with antique style and also designer furnitures, it was spotless clean and incredibly quiet. We appreciated the central location we walked almost everywhere, there are lots of supermarkets around, closest one is only next door. Liked the lift and the foreign channels as it was nice to have some entertainment when we were too tired to go out in the evening. Also wifi works just fine which was important for us. The kitchen and bathroom are really nice and the beds are super comfy which is important, after a long day of sightseeing. We'll be back for sure.
